1st of all, Joe’s head is completely massive.

Now, moving along, I actually liked one of his albums, although he’s not much of a singer.

Has it ever occurred to Joe that he doesn’t get airplay because his songs are boring cookie-cutter bootycall music? Lets’ be honest, most of his cds’ have 1 or 2 songs with strong hooks and melodies and the rest is filler.

There was an interview with R. Kelly a few years ago in the Rollingstone (i think) where he was critiquing his contemporaries Joe and Montell Jordan. He praised Joe’s voice and singing talent, but said his songs selections was weak and needed better production. Montell Jordan, he dismissed as garbage, which i agree. Montell’s This is for the honeyz, was crap. Last i heard, Montell’s last cd was so bad, his label refused to release it.

Is Kool Moe Dee Joe daddy? They resemble alot. Aint a Joe fan too soft and warm for me.

his last album was hot, no doubt, compared to some of the ish R.Kelly put out his stuff was definitely better! “Ain’t Nothin Like Me” has got a couple of hit songs and what did R.Kelly put out?? “Real Talk” -that was the wackest ish EVA! Don’t get me wrong I love the pissers music, but I will never understand why Joe’s last CD flopped.

Joe should think of new ways to market hisself. He got enuff dome room to have many bright ideas.

R&B singer Joe has accused R. Kelly of trying to derail his career by pressuring radio DJs not to play his records. The singer released six albums with Jive Records over an 11 year period, but left the label earlier this year after the company pushed back the release of his 2007 LP, Ain’t Nothin Like Me, several times.

The Grammy winner believes fellow Jive artist R. Kelly was to blame, claiming the singer would call Jive bosses and radio stations and urge them not to promote the singer too heavily, according to reports.

“R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio,” Joe said.

“He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Y’all (sic) need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige. It’s incredible that now I get the opportunity to, I don’t know, maybe pay (R. Kelly) back in some sort of side bar kind of thing.”

And Joe, who left Jive to release his forthcoming LP New Man through Kedar Entertainment Group, insists that despite R. Kelly’s alleged intervention, he’s still got plenty of stake in the industry.

He says, “I’m still very relevant in the game. But yeah, he did try to make some decisions when it came down to my records being on fire, and climbing up the charts and on the radio stations.”

His last album there were maybe 2 entire songs I didnt like on the cd of 14 or 15 tracks…it was one of those cds you just put in and let it play!!

Joe does make nice music, I have always wondered why his stuff never gets much play. I kind of like him more the R.Kelly. I liked kelly when I was younger, but as I’ve gotten more mature, he’s beginning to sound sadistic, raunchy, and just plain freakish. I mean you really don’t see the romance in what he makes. Especially since the incidents with the young girls, every time he sings a verse you think he’s talkin about somebodies child.

Does anyone ever listen to Monique in the afternoons? I live in Columbus Ohio and its on every day but Im not sure where all it’s playing…but I looooooooove her radio show..its off the hook and looove her “no judgement zone” atmosphere

Well, Joe’s stuff gets played on the urban adult contemporary stations. I’ve heard it on WHUR, KJLH, those type of stations that aren’t owned by conglomerates.

I can believe it.. He is a rapist that never admitted to being such so I think he’s capable of anything. Some people are like, Joe isnt a threat to R. Kelly so why would he do that? Jealousy ain’t gonna help Joe sell records. Joe left Jive to go to an independent label like Kedar? Well, that simply means there ain’t no major label interested in him. Joe is irrelevant. If Joe has to come out and tell people he’s relevant then he’s obviously not relevant. Yeah Joe, this was a terribly misguided publicity stunt that will inevitably bite back at you and your sorry career.
