Kwame Kilpatrick’s Shady Ass Is Going to Jail…

For a day….
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will spend the night in jail after a judge ruled he violated the terms of his bond in his perjury case by making a business trip to Canada and not informing the court. Judge Ronald Giles ordered Kilpatrick to jail Thursday, a decision the judge said he would have made for any “John Six-Pack” defendant before him. The mayor made an unauthorized trip to Canada last month, leading the county prosecutor’s office to request Kilpatrick be punished and triggering the judge’s ruling. Only minutes earlier, the mayor offered an apology to the court, telling Giles that for seven months, “I’ve been living in an incredible state of pressure and scrutiny.” But Giles sent the mayor to jail anyway, telling him he would have given any defendant the same treatment.
Just a day? We think this shade-ster needs to be locked up for at least a week. This sounds like some straight bullsh*t.

I live in the D and I was screaming up and down when the judge ordered his azzzzz to jail!!! Yay! I thought he was gonna be in the clink for at least a week, but he has some sweet talkin lawyers who got the judge to hear the appeal at 9am tomorrow. Day-um! I bet he’ll get a tether tomorrow. It’s sad that the mayor of Detroit is gonna be on a tether! All I can say is I didn’t vote for him! If you did…then you just as bad as those who voted Bush in for a second term. As a citizen of Detroit I am not only embarr*****ed but I’m beyond frustrated that we are even still going through this idiot’s foolishness. When his actions became bigger than the city and the progress we have been making it was time for him to step down.
I am so beyond tired of seeing Kwame and his actions on my tv screen. If this was anyone else his @ss would have been in jail and been dealth with but because it’s Kwame we have to be continually bombarded with his antics.
He is shaming the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan on a whole. How much do we have to endure before this idiot steps down or he is removed from office?
I have NEVER supported Kwame and his continued actions all but prove my reasoning for not doing so. From the party at the mansion to the manhandling of the Wayne County sherrif deputy enough is enough! This man has got to go!!!!!!!!!

I don’t think there’s any way Mayor Kilpatrick can remain in office. Besides facing criminal charges, he has lost any semblance of credibility, and his grievous actions are continuously making national headlines. Enough is enough. It’s time to for him to step down. And his mother, Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, may have won her close primary race this week, but, as the head of the CBC, she should be ashamed as well.

He’s been the “Hip Hop Mayor” for some time now and has received negative press in the past. Well, as a black man, he is making himself look bad!! Not all black men act like him. He deserves all that he has coming to him!! He brought these consequences on himself. Actually, if an average black man, not in a political position, were to do what he has done…They would have been (and have been) placed under jail. He was not handcuffed today after the judge stated his decision, nor was he escorted by authorities…He was escorted out by his own body guards!!!

Interesting theory… There are so many angles that this whole thing can come from… Fact of the matter is this: Most Detroiters don’t give a rats ***** who he is sleeping with!! We just don’t like having a crook for a mayor! Period! Regardless to whether or not his image is tarnished it’s mostly him that is doing the damage. One man can only do so much to tarnish a person’s career. He did most of the damage himself!! No one is perfect and I am not judging him (KK). I am basically tired of hearing about it.

Also, another thing that people are talking about is him using his power (it’s obviously not easy to remove an official from office) to stay in office long enough to receive his pension because he is supposed to be getting over 100K a year after he leaves (in Nov)… Does he deserve it? I live in Detroit and it amazes me that his “supporters” blame EVERYONE else for problems HE has created–it’s the racist suburban white folks fault who want to take over Detroit; it’s the racist system that’s sticking it to him; it’s the strippers fault for giving a married man a lap dance. His supporters needs to read the newspapers, take a trip to city hall to see what’s really going on and wake the hell up! Kwame is not above the law and he has already been getting away with enough for too long.
Kwame doesn’t give a damn about Detroit or his “supporters”, because if he did, he would be a MAN and step down from office. He is KILLING Detroit. The only thing he cares about is staying in office to continue to steal taxpayers money.
@secret—That’s not true about the pension. He has to be in office for 10 years to receive it and by next year (re-election time) it will only be 8 years for him.
He’s not stepping down because he has too much dirt he has to either keep covered or eliminate, and has to fork over too much money to pay for all of these lawsuits and BS that he has gotten himself into. Detroit taxpayers are picking up the tab on a lot of this mess.
