Chris Brown discusses an upcoming project:
“It’s a movie called ‘The Heist’ that I’m doing with T.I., Idris Elba and Matt Dillon. I’m playing a killer. I’m not going to give anything else away! It’s a bank-robbing movie, so it’s one of those action-packed films. You get a little different side of me in that movie.”
“At the end of the day, I’m going to focus on my music first. [But] me being onstage enhances me being in the movie, and then me being in the movie — acting, catching characters — gives me time to transform into a different character onstage.”
Just what the world needs, another singer slash actor slash…the movie sounds hot though, especially the Idris Elba part.

I can appreciate that comment regarding acting/singing. I’ve always had a hard time when singers are cast in roles that don’t suit them. Now, Chris Brown was good in that Christmas movie (at least I thought so), but I’ll have to see if he can carry playing a

I think the dude can dance. I ain’t buying none of his cd’s because I don’t think he can sing worth a lick. But, let’s be honest, this sounds like a straight-to-dvd flick.
By the way, Chris has got a dancer’s body. He won’t be able to execute certain dance moves or look the same, smooth and limber, all muscled up. That’s one of the reasons Michael Jackson has maintained his slim body-type his entire life.

They are putting out resumes. The thing is the black community DOESN’T support them.
How many times have you seen the cast of Girlfriends, Lee Thompson Young, Wesley Jonathan, Arjay Smith, Mowery Twins or the cast of Everybody Hates Chris in black magazines? Or even seen on BET?
Chris’s casting is based on exposure. You put him in this movie and the black media will cover it. His fans will show up and even if he dies in the first scene, those dummies will show up, watch that scene and leave afterwards. You put Arjay SMith in that role and ONLY white folks will cover it since Arjay doesn’t do black films. Same with Nick Cannon-he won’t attract the folks that like Chris Brown.
