He burnt too many bridges, yelling at other execs and belittling his own artist. Not to mention he was stealing money from Rocawear and Rocafella to live all flamboyantly (according to Beanie Sigel and Jay-z verse on Lost One’s). Truth of the matter is alot of people never wanted to deal with Dame but Jay-z was his trump card so they had to deal with him.

I think it’s possible. He certainly has the business sense for it. With a few key connections he can be back on top again (or at least doing a whole lot better than he is currently). Damon Dash appears to be a true hustler and true hustlers always find a way, lol. But seriously, I don’t think people should count him out. With a little capital, he can probably do some big things.

He needs to move away from the Rap game altogether and put in energy in a new venture. The Money in Hip Hop is drying up. That well has been tapped by so many for so long and with record sales on the downward due to downloading,him trying to replicate what he did in the past is a major mistake. that is what always buries guys like Dame. they think that what they did in the past,that got them on top can do it again. IT DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY!Hip Hop is being destroyed from the inside as well as out,due to the fact that EVERYBODY thinks that they can do it. There are so many people,Black,White,Latino,Asian,Indian you name it,who all think that they can rap. It is the one musical art form that digresses every year. There are so many mediocre Rappers in the game right now that are blocking the way for the truly gifted,that it is destroying the game. Between Youtube wannabes and reality show winners,every year we get a fresh crop of GARBAGE! People are starting to get sick of Hip Hop because of it. Go down any street in this country and see how many people think that they can rap. Now go down that same street and find an honest to good MUSICIAN! Guys like Dame,Suge,Diddy,Baby and so many others helped to DESTROY hIP hOP. iNSTEAD OF ELEVATING ITS CREATIVITY,THEY MADE IT ALL ABOUT them! Hip Hop was never meant to last as long as it did,but somehow,it survived, But sadly i can see that its on its last legs and i only hope that the truly talented people who are in it ,can rise to the top and elevate it before its too late.

I don’t know the dude to want him to stay down so I hope so. It’s always more tragic to have lived that life and lost rather than to not live it at all. Umm…..he has tried so many ventures that have failed. It seems dude has burnt more than a few bridges.
