Question? If you have wealth and priviledge, should you consider yourself better than everyone else? or should you use that wealth and priviledge to help educate others about the real issues and concerns in life. You know like maybe sponsor an education for an underpriviledged kidd growing up in a bad situation. Helping a poor family pay their heating bills for the winter. After all it is better to give than receive.

I also grew up in the private school circuit and was teased Horribly for "sounding white" whenever I opened my mouth around black people outside of my family. To the point where I remember trying to say "ain't" and "ax" on PURPOSE so that people wouldn't tease me! (A harsh "Excuse Me!?" from my mom and grandmother let me know really quick that that wasn't going to fly however)...lol...I STILL Get teased, by coworkers or black people I meet "in the hood" but it has nothing to do with my cultural identity which is Black. I had to grow up being comfortable with who I am, and I had a TOUGH road growing up in nyc with a prep-school accent, and my own people as Well as white people were always quick to comment on "how well" I spoke, which to this day I find insulting. As should all black people for that matter! What does that say about what you think of yourself? Cosby's daughter just sounds like a snob though. There's a big difference. Money doesn't necessarily equate educated or cultured. I think she doesn't relate because she Chooses not to. Her store is a reflection of that- PB & Cavier? What do you expect? She has the world at her fingertips and This is what she chooses do with it?? Not much different then any other product of nepotism in this country- i.e Paris, Nichole, Kardashians, etc.

Now, I wasn't saying that there's any thing wrong with dating Carlton Banks and Steve urkel. Evan seems like the type of young lady that would go out with squares that's all. And there's nothing wrong with having a trust fund, but there's no excuse for having a snobby attitude.

Lulu,

Can Bill also send me a message about cheating on my Black wife... with many different white broads? When is Bill gonna do a speaking tour about THAT ish? Until he can keep is d*ck in his pants, he (and apparently his daughter too) should have a Coke and a smile and shut the f*ck up.

Sure, we have stuff we can improve upon in our communities, but that doesn't stop with those of us that are poor. Apparently, those of us that are wealthy need to find ways to keep our kids grounded, keep them informed about "the struggle" so they don't sound aloof and Tom-ish in the press.

I'm probably one of the few if not only person that agrees with her...to a point. I grew up in the same NYC private school circle. I can totally understand where she's coming from. I've always been teased about the "way" I speak. Which is ridiculous! Realistically you're not going to get a REAL job speaking ebonics! It's not speaking "white" it's speaking right!

However, she is an excellent example of Black people who don't give back, but she's never been there to know where to give back. It's hard to understand something you've never seen. Her parents have actually to blame for sheltering her. Bill is so quick to point out what the Black community is doing wrong and how WE need to help ourselves, but he's failed to educate his own household!
