And yet Jennifer Hudson is not a house hold name? It is obvious, that there is something wrong with the milk…. Clive is unable to define her market, and in this business, that can be the kiss of death, no matter how talented the act. Clive, use to be a master at this, however with the ever changing music climate. And lets face it, Clive, although a master in the business, is no longer a spring chicken.. I think maybe at this point, for both parties, and the best interests of both parties, is to part ways. Yes J.H won an Oscar. However if you ask most house holds, in America who Jennifer Hudson is, the people of lesser skin pigmentation would draw a blank. This is where Clive is failing her. By the time Whitney Houston had her first album released, everyone white, black, brown, yellow, red, and orange person knew her name. And they did this, without the added benefit of an Oscar. Or the exposure of the millions of viewers of American Idol. Clive get Jennifer into a studio, with the best song writers, musicians, and arrangers, just like you did for Whitney, or you are going to lose this one. (Mark my words.) And that would be a shame, because she could be as good, or even better than the old Whitney, ever was. Clive I know and love you, but it just may be time to……… ARTOFWAR.
