Troubled rapper DMX is facing his sixth arrest in 2008 after failing to attend a court hearing in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday. The 37-year-old was due to face a felony drug charge, but failed to show, prompting Commissioner Phemonia Miller to issue a bench warrant for his arrest. DMX – real name Earl Simmons – has spent most of the year in and out of custody and court over a series of legal woes. In July, he pleaded not guilty to felony charges of theft and identity theft after he was accused of using a false identity to avoid paying medical bills.
In January, he was arrested for allegedly speeding in Phoenix. In May, he was charged with suspected drug possession and animal cruelty following raids on his Arizona home. A month later, in June, the star was arrested for allegedly attempting to buy drugs from an undercover officer, and in July he was taken into police custody for violating his bail terms relating to a previous driving incident in June.

Morning Y’all! I’m so mad for DMX I don’t even FEEL like praying for him! A coupel of months ago, when he didn’t know that a black man, named Barack Obama was running for president–and proceeded to yell “Get the f— outta here” to the interviewer like 5 times, I lost the last grain of salt’s-worth of respect I had for his DUSTY *****! At what point do these celebs, who came from NOTHING and were blessed with MILLION$ realize that they need to get their sh– together. Please DMX you are letting a lot of people who still believe in you down. i’ve read some of the commentary regarding your plight but there is hope. the worse thing you can do right now is stop believing in your self you are a gifted artist and have so much to offer the world. your calling is your struggle, i see that clearly. dig down deep and turn this thing around. you have children. think about them until it hurts. i know there are people that are still willing to help you but may feel intimidated because of what you represent. humble yourself and let them *****ist you because that’s all they can do. the real help and strenfgth you need is already there, its within you. Brother i love you like a brother and through faith and prayer all things are possible. come on D. now is the time!
