I HAD to comment. Did no one see T. M. perform live? She was on the BET comedy awards show one year (and 106 & Park the same year) when the “girl wants” single came out. AWFUL- she couldn’t dance or sing for sh**. The song was catchy but obviously studio-enhanced. Rihanna may not have a wonderful voice, but she sounds the same live as she does on wax.

The young lady was pretty professional during the interview. She isn’t the first and will not be the last artist to be released from a label. Def Jam is not the same label that I grew up listening to in the 80′s and early 90′s. Boy, did I love that label when Uncle Russ and Rick was running the show together. Yep, the label that was started in a collegiate dorm room is now cut throat and highly commercial. I wish her well!
