It is public knowledge that the couple has been separated for months, and LisaRaye has no lawful right to be in the residence. Her conduct yesterday clearly contradicts her stated commitment to dissolve the marriage amicably.

Thanks for the info! I can’t keep up with all the goings-on of politicians. BTW, Kwame Kilpatrick appeared in court again today on the assault charges, and I think a judge decided last night that he had to wear the tether. It’s all a mess. SMH.

There are a few controversies involved w/ his properties in the NYC. The one that’s being looked into at the hearing pertains to the one rent controlled apt. that he was using as an office.

Rent controlled apts generally rent for considerably less than the market value because they are supposed to go to low-income individuals. By congressional rules, any benefit bestowed on a Congressman exceeding $50 (“under $50-exception” rule) is supposed to be reported. So basically, there’s going to be an investigation on whether the difference in rent price to market price for the apt. is considered a benefit and thereby exceeding the $50 limit. The real controversy should be how he was able to get THREE rent controlled apts considering his income taxes report earnings of over a million dollars a year.

it’s humiliating and embarrassing. No one deserves to be in this type of situation, PERIOD. I don’t care who you are.
