An Atlanta teenager claims that his girlfriend’s family tortured him because he wasn’t good enough:
An Atlanta teenager told police that he was kidnapped by his girlfriend’s relatives and taken to an apartment, where he was beaten, choked and burned with a cigarette because they want him to stop seeing her, according to a police report. Darius Aimey, 17, said he was tortured at a southwest Atlanta apartment for more than four hours, from the evening of Aug. 5 to early the next morning, according to the Atlanta police report. He suffered swelling to his left eye, jaw, knee, arm and burns to his left arm and back along with other abrasions and bruises, the report said. The reason for the prolonged beating, according to the victim: His girlfriend’s mother doesn’t want Aimey to date her daughter and doesn’t believe he’s good enough for her.
Aimey was walking in the 2000 block of Fairburn Road when his girlfriend’s brother, mother and the mother’s boyfriend pulled up in a silver Ford Taurus, he reported. The three grabbed him and put him into the car. The two men dropped off the mother at her home, but before she got out, Aimey said she told the two men: “Take him somewhere and kill him.” The men put a shirt over Aimey’s head and took him to an unidentified apartment where more men were waiting inside. They tied him to a chair and started out by beating him with a hammer and a 9mm handgun, the victim told police. Then, Aimey recounted, seven men took turns punching the teen, landing blows to his stomach and face, the report said. His girlfriend’s brother put a belt around his neck and choked him, and burned him on the arm and back with a cigarette, the victim reported.
“We told you to leave [the girlfriend] alone,” the mother’s boyfriend told Aimey, according to the report. “You better take this as a lesson.” The suspects eventually dropped him off on the road where they found him.
Damn, this family sounds interrupted as hell. That poor boy didn’t deserve that ish, no matter what. Bastards.

This is really sad, I don’t know the whole story but as of right now that is a complete shame, it’s others way of handling that situation, violence is not the key in THAT case!

To think that there were that many adults, not to mention the brother of the girl, cheering each other on, is just scary. It’s a 17 year old kid! You know they all have to be a little looney to even contemplate doing something like this – what did they believe would happen to them after the fact? Did they believe this kids’ injuries, as severe as they’re described to be, would go unnoticed by his own family or that he wouldn’t seek medical attn.? They are a true menace to society at large and will hopefully be put away for a long time.
Color me old fashion, but there just had to be another way.. SMH
I’d bet ten to one the missing piece to this puzzle is that that we are only hearing one side of the story. The young men now a days think its normal to put their hands on young women. I wonder if he ever call himself man handling the young girl in question. I can’t see any other extreme that would lead a family to react so violently to someone simply “seeing” there daughter, sister or whatever. However if it were my sister and some guy put his hands on her… she has eight brother and please believe that we’d be looking to put the same kind of @ss whipping on the clown that called himself whipping on her. I’m not sure if that’s the case but it’s the only reasonable explanation.

Man have you seen some of these 17 year old dudes? There six one, six two – 190 +. My 15 year old is as big as me I know he has to be close to 6ft tall. Kid? A lot of these so called kids are the main ones on the street corners, in the clubs shooting up people and each other. Everybody keep saying this guy is a kid. He may be under age but in today’s world there’s no such thing as a 17 year old kid. That just doesn’t exist anymore until something happens they don’t like or agree with. Then they use their age as justification or to gain sympathy. I’m not saying what that family did was right… I just don’t think we have all the information in front of us to make sound judgment on them. What did he do? Why did the mother want him killed? There’s definitely more to this story.

Now back to reality, granted what happen to this boy was f*cked up- theres gotta be more to this story because what made this girl’s family members think that they was just going to f*ck this boy up and drop him off somewhere and everything was going to be cool that nothing was going to happen to them. The first thing he doing when he get home to his mother is going to the police.

This is wrong by all means and I don’t condon it in any way, but….A lot of young guys have jealous and controling ways against their girlfriends. He may have been abusive both mentally and physically. He may have been dominating the young lady and taking away her freedom. @thepromised1: My nephew is 14 yrs old, 260 lbs & 6′3 or 4, so I can see your point. On the football field my nephew is a beast. Outside of that he is as sweet as a teddy bear. Of course there is more to the story, but those adults could have found a better (ie legal) way of handling that 17 yr old.
If a young impressionable girl is being abused and keeps going back, what can you do? You see a lot of older women that go back to abusive men. We’re talking about a teenaged girl here. A lot of these girls don’t have a true father figure around, and these controlling guys give them a sense of discipline and love that they never got from a man. Even though it is usually a twisted form because they are abused, to them it seems as if a man cares for them. I couldn’t imagine sitting idly around if a guy was dominating and abusing my daughter because I love her.
