"Music Producer Bangladesh"

People that work behind the scenes in the music industry don’t always received the credit and recognition that they deserve. Producer Bangladesh, who has popped out major jawns for Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Kelis and more, sat down with VIBE sharing his thoughts on certain producers that are tired and need to move over…

“I’m not disrespecting them because I was influenced by Timbaland and Neptunes and all of them, but your time came and went. There’s time for other things to happen…A lot of them producers, some have a sound and some don’t. I think Polow kinda does whatever, he doesn’t have a certain sound, he emulates other peoples stuff. To me, he’s probably a well-sought-out producer, but at the same time its about who you’re with, who you’re around, who’s getting you the work. I don’t have assistance so I’m not in Jimmy Iovine’s face. I don’t get all the Interscope work, I create the work. That makes me better because I don’t have people in my pocket. My sound is so powerful that the artist love it and it skips all the middle men. All my beats have been placed by getting it directly to the artist. I don’t really need nobody cosigning.”

If your wondering who Bangladesh is… He has produced hit all these hits below:

Beyonce – Diva:

Gucci Mane – Lemonade:

Lil Wayne – A Milli:

Beyonce ft. Lady GaGa – Video Phone:

Kelis – Bossy:

  5. I agree with Bangladesh...well sort of 4/17/10, 11:41:AM

The Neptunes are irrelevant, I will agree with him on that. They produce horrible music now.

Timbaland on the other hand still has the game on lock down. Bangladesh is cool though.

I think polow da don will be the producer to over throw timbaland. Polow has crazy azz beats.

  6. thablackyoutube 4/17/10, 11:58:AM

  11. DontBeScurred 4/17/10, 12:56:PM

Yawn. Just another uneducated fool with a Casio and drumkit poppin’ off about being the best “producer”. 4 out of 5 of those songs are the same drum sounds just switched around a bit. Props to him for getting over with bullshit “beats” though.

  12. Mizunderstood 4/17/10, 01:01:PM

For the life of me I will never understand why everything has to be a damn competition???. Why can’t everyone have some shine????…Who is this dude???..Just shut up and concentrate on making good music and quite producing 99% of the crap that’s out today. R&B and hip hop is dead if you ask me!!!!!

  13. WTF 4/17/10, 01:02:PM

HE PRODUCED ALL MY JAMS! AND HES A CUTIE!

  14. courtneyomega 4/17/10, 01:09:PM

didnt know he did lemonade. if bangladesh could have found gucci a video director that actually knows how to write a video treatment then that wouldve been even more of a smash!

love his sound though and it is distinctive. polow eats white girls cakes

  15. Jay32 4/17/10, 01:15:PM

Bossip should have posted some other songs to help his case because the beats to all of those songs are basic and simple as hell especially that lemonade song.I wish him all the success in the world but he needs to stop hating and continue to doing what has made him successful. The beat to So Ambitious by Jay-Z and produced by the Neptunes is better than all 4 of those videos.Timbaland is a genius, his time will never be up.I guess he feels like since he doesn’t have anybody cosigning him that make him better well it don’t.What would make him better than them is his finished product.Polo just happened to know the right people, that shouldn’t be a knock on his music.I’m an inspiring producer myself and I look up to Timbaland and the Neptunes hoping to be better than them one day.

  18. get ur ish together 4/17/10, 01:33:PM

Bangladesh is talented BUT he needs a slice of HUMBLE PIE….Talent speaks for itself buddy no need to broadcast it and talk about the next man, that is all!

  19. hey now 4/17/10, 01:43:PM

wow he’s being really disrespectful and out of line. I dunno if he’s better or not but why does he have to say that? Be gracious!

  20. Qwerty 4/17/10, 02:11:PM

That’s like Drake telling Jay-Z to move over just because he has a few hits. Earn your’s first then talk.

  21. Handsome 4/17/10, 02:18:PM

He’s the only rap producer that dosen’t sample. All his beats are original

  22. C'MON SON 4/17/10, 02:24:PM

be cool playa there is a lot of money being tossed around in this industry so keep makin those hits and ur talent will speak for it’s self…Real producers let there MUSIC/BEATS speak for them…

  23. Yeah OK 4/17/10, 02:32:PM

I could of swore Diva & A milli was the same track…just sayin

  24. dia 4/17/10, 03:14:PM

simple beats, but is he gunna take over with songs that people kinda liked? NO

  25. hiphophead 4/17/10, 03:43:PM

HE’S WACK BECAUSE HIS ATTITUDE SUCKS!!! HE STEALS BEATS FROM PRODUCERS & ADDS DRUMS & TAKES CREDIT FOR THEM. HE HAS A BAD ATTITUDE & HE DIDN’T PRODUCER “TELEPHONE BY LADY GAGA” RODNEY JERKINS AKA DARK CHILD DID. GET YOUR FACTS UP BOSSIP..C’MON SON!!!!!!!!

  26. joesmith 4/17/10, 03:45:PM

    @Handsome

‘a milli’ has samples in it (the intro and the a milli voice) and his old shit with Luda got samples too (Coming to America)

  27. I KNOW! 4/17/10, 04:21:PM

HE DID NOT MAKE VIDEO PHONE DARKCHILD DID

  28. mtbossip 4/17/10, 05:24:PM

The 1st time Bangladesh truly got some “shine” was off of A MILLIE. SMH. Timbaland has been around since the 90s. Learn something. Timbo aint slowing down either.

  29. Kryptiksoul 4/17/10, 05:39:PM

I expect Bangladesh to say that he is the hottest producer around now. I mean hip-hop based producers seem to be like rappers now in that they have the need to display a certain bravodo.

So I expect him to say how hot he is and that others don’t have it like him. It is what it is then he will feel disrespected when someone says the same about him in just a few years.

    Follow me on Twitter: Kryptiksoul

  30. Ree 4/17/10, 05:49:PM

He needs to spend less time putting down others and more time making better beats. And how does he have a 5 o’clock shadow over 70% of his face (except around his eyes)? Oh…and I wouldn’t brag about the beats for Diva and Video Phone. They weren’t great 0_0

  31. juicyjessica 4/17/10, 06:10:PM

    That’s what’s up!! I like this dude now… i gotta google him!

  32. Racquel 4/17/10, 06:39:PM

The last music producer that said they were better than timbaland and the neptunes was Scott Storch – and look where that got him! Coked out, and now a recovering addict! He lost everything, and now has to eat humble pie! Be careful Banglesdesh, love your beats, but be very careful what u say!

  33. strawberry 4/17/10, 09:40:PM

Also..you didn’t hear Teddy Jam and Terry Lewis talk about Babyface or Babyface talk about Teddy Riley..they all just did their own thing and let their work speak for itself..

  34. LaLa 4/17/10, 10:31:PM

But he got nerve talking sh*t bout their time came and went. they been doing their thing for 18 years, and believe me they aint going NO WHERE!

  40. Chi-Town Diva (Wild 100's) 4/18/10, 09:20:AM

  44. WOWZERS 4/22/10, 10:57:PM

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN SIT DOWN Because if it’s one thing I can tell you “Bangladesh” it’s that The Neptunes and Timbaland will have sooooooooo much more than you EVER WILL. All of the tracks BOSSIP has mentioned sound the same. The verses sound like the Choruses…The choruses sounds like the Bridges…The bridges sounds like the Intro’s! Their music has way to much subtance while yours has ZERO for you to be talking like you run this. I can produce a hotter track than you. All of your beats were “Yawns” as far as creativity. Your big head is gonna get you in trouble. THE NEPTUNES FOREVER!!!! SIT DOWN.

  45. CEO 4/25/10, 10:05:PM

    Hey,

The man is entitled to his opinion and truth is, it’s just an opinion.

Now if we are looking at facts, stats, charts, then I am sure he knows that he hasn’t made enough hits to support his claim.

Anyway, we humans are competitive by nature and sometimes folks in the music allow our comtetitiveness to come come across as arrogance and that’s the issue. IT’S A SAD STATE OF AFFAIR
