Well, i don’t think they can do any worse than last year(here’s hoping), lol! But honestly, i think we comin back strong this year. The defense made a LOT of errors, which cost them the game (but its only preseason). I think our first string is FIAYH! Reggie is DEF back and out to prove something. Deuce has obviously missed the game cause he wasn’t playing. Overrall, i think we will do well! The team has A LOT of talent this year. I think the biggest challenge will be trying to give each guy a chance and not rely so much on one player. If we use all our players, i think we’ll DEF make it to the playoffs easily. We lost Saturday, but overrall, besides the errors, it was a good game.

Yeah, for some reason, i’ve always had a thing for bald men, and i’m not usually aware of it until afterwards. Like, i’ll realize after i’ve started to like a guy, oh, he’s got a bald head, lol! I dont know what it is…that’s so weird to me. I dont purposely seek out bald headed men, and i do date men with hair, but the bald ones always seem to make the cut. WEIRD!

Well, i don’t think they can do any worse than last year(here’s hoping), lol! But honestly, i think we comin back strong this year. The defense made a LOT of errors, which cost them the game (but its only preseason). I think our first string is FIAYH! Reggie is DEF back and out to prove something. Deuce has obviously missed the game cause he wasn’t playing. Overrall, i think we will do well! The team has A LOT of talent this year. I think the biggest challenge will be trying to give each guy a chance and not rely so much on one player. If we use all our players, i think we’ll DEF make it to the playoffs easily. We lost Saturday, but overrall, besides the errors, it was a good game.

No, actually I’m very much a cynic and that sort of was an uplifting thing. Not dying but just missing someone so much that you don’t think life is worth living without them. I remember the saddest case was like 6 years ago. I knew this couple well cause they had A LOT of money. The guy owned his own business and was an aggresive business man late into his 70′s. He was old school so from the outside it appeared like his wife was “abused” cause she would never talk and listened at EVERYTHING he said. When he died he left her instructions of what to do with every dime. She did that and she died shortly after.

On Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show, The Lox members Jadakiss and Styles P made a passionate, aggressive plea for their publishing and autonomy from Combs, who they claim owns half of their collective publishing.

“Imagine working for years working for years, hard work and somebody that has nothing to do with that is getting the bulk of it. You’d be totally, utterly frustrated. And, you tryin’ to get around it for years and you call about it with lawyers, but people are too powerful,” said Style P, alluding to Combs’ influence.

The Lox released their debut, Money, Power, Respect, in 1998, but departed Combs’ Bad Boy Records after orchestrating the legendary “Free The Lox” campaign. Styles, Jadakis and Sheek Louch, who was absent at the New York radio station (*cuz he left d-block and the lox*), then joined the Ruff Ryders under the Interscope banner. The group recently vowed that they would no longer record for their label, Interscope Records, due to issues with company brass and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s apparent power with the company.

“This ain’t no varmint talk – this is real life,” said Jadakiss. Eventually, Sean “Diddy” Combs called from his Manhattan office to confront The Lox and counter their claims.

“If somebody is getting in the way of you expressing yourself, you can come get at me directly,” said Diddy from the phone. “We’re businessmen. We’re all mature adults here. Y’all sit on this interview and talk as long as you want to talk or you can take the invitation I extended before. Its not even getting there -You getting on the radio, whatever tactic – I’m not your enemy. Don’t sit here and portray that Puff took something from y’all.”

Immediately, Jadakiss retorted, “Well, what is it then? What do you call it? We can’t handle it any other way dealing with lawyers and you know that. So don’t get on the radio and act like a tough guy.”

The conversation degenerated to the point where none of the parties statements were nearly incomprehensible.

“I’m a grown a** man,” said Diddy.

“You a coward,” Jadakiss responded.

“You a thief,” followed Styles.

A seemingly frustrated Diddy eventually hung up the phone as The Lox continued to vent their grievances to Martinez and the listening “We want our publishing, dog, and we got a right to that. Its been years now,” Styles P shrieked. “We been through seven lawyers and all kinds of things.”

So Diddy went on Hot 97 this afternoon to dispute some of D Block’s claims and to clarify some issues with regard to his business dealings with them. He actually went so far as to show up with a stack of papers, including canceled checks and contracts.

According to Diddy, he only owns 20% of their publishing, but the way he described it sounded fairly convoluted and made it seem as if the Lox themselves were seeing the other 80%, which doesn’t seem very likely.

And no sooner than he could get done explaining his deal with them, the Lox’ lawyer faxed over a copy of their contract that said very clearly, in no uncertain terms that Diddy owned 50% of their publishing.

Diddy then pointed to some copies of checks and said he couldn’t make it any clearer than that. (???) He added that over the course of their career, the Lox have made about $1.5 million, of which he’s received about $400,000.

A little Ron Rogers-style mathemagic reveals that that’s about 27%, i.e. more than 20%.

There was not one particular act but over time I had some wonderful Mentors who taught me how to be more tactful. It took a lot of practice and there are some issues that will make me stab somebody but for the most part I will take the high road. Rozza, you are SERIOUSLY rocking that fro Girl! I went natural about 2 years ago. My hair was growing really well. Then I moved to another state, tried to get a touch-up color and the wench put a bleach in my hair. Needless to say, my hair began to thin and weaken. I cut it down to about 2 inches 2 months ago and it is now 3 inches now. I want a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Angela Davis fro. I feel sorry for sistas who tell me that the people in their family would never let them go natural. For me, it’s the ONLY way to go too! I will NEVER, EVER, EVER put creamy crack in my head again!!! (LOL)!!!!!

No i am not being hard on Lisa-Raye. I was in an abusive relationship from age 16-21. There was nothing cute or funny about it. When i left I had 3 clear trash bags with my clothes with no money, no job and no one gave a f*ck. I wasn’t running around in Rolls Royces eating at Mr. Chow’s. I was in f*cking DV counseling and a daggone shelter trying to rebuild my life. I allowed some n*gga who i loved dearly, who didn’t give a f*ck about me to destroy my life and there was nothing cute about that shyt. Everyday so many women go through what L-Raye went through. I didn’t bust up in my own house looking for problems or to cook tacos. I was a prisoner in my home. I couldn’t leave, i would be slapped for trying to go to the store for food. Our food money was used for drugs. I had to lie to my family and his. So please don’t talk to me about being hard on her. I lived the real life shyt. Someone’s mother, sister, brother (because men can be DV survivors too) is getting their ass whipped and cannot or are too scared to leave. She is making a mockery of DV. Can i sell my story to Essence? Can i show the the scar of my lip that i will die with? How can i paint the portrait of the emotional pain and scars for all to see? She isn’t out there speaking out against DV. She is using this shyt for her personal gain and for that I don’t respect it. Sorry. So yes maybe I am being hard on her because I lived DV for real for years and I am 10000% against it but I tell my story to help others, not put $$ in my pocket.

I agree, I think you are what you put yourself out there to be. You know the old saying Truff, ” its not what they call you, its what you answer to”. I think somewhere along the line women began to have a distorted view of femininity, particularly women in the “industry”. They pose for these types of photos thinking that it will gain them some type of notoriety, when really all its doing is making them look trashy and not feminine. Like Hoopz, I mean she’s a pretty girl, as is a lot of them are actually attractive, but posing in the smut mags give them a bad reputation.

Well, to make a long, convoluted story short, Prophetess Bynum was allegedly physically assaulted by her husband (I’m not sure what their status is now) in a hotel parking lot (there was at least one witness). Afterwards, she did talk about domestic violence in interviews, but the whole situation seemed, to me, to turn into a circus. The latest I heard is that they both appeared recently on Divorce Court. I just thought the story turned into a mockery of a very serious matter. . .I don’t know much about Bynum or Bishom Weeks, so I can’t comment on how they conducted themselves before all this happened.

LOS ANGELES — LeRoi Moore, saxophone player for the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday of injuries suffered in an accident on an all-terrain vehicle in June. He was 46.

Moore died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles, the band said on its Web site.

He was initially hospitalized in late June after the accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Va. He had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin physical rehabilitation when complications forced him back into the hospital Sunday.

It was not immediately clear what the complications were. A message left with Hollywood Presbyterian was not immediately returned.

Ambrosia Healy, the band’s publicist, says the group’s show Tuesday night in Los Angeles has not been canceled.

Well I don’t believe in exploiting DV for financial gain unless you are raising money for a shelter, funding for something or things like that. I do vaguely remember these people. They sound like a joke, but if he really choked her out like that he needs to get help. If she is speaking out against it and doing something then I support that even if her personal life is a circus.

My sisters baby fathe rused to hit on hit her,so one night she slept with a knife under her pillow and when he came to bed she cut his ass up. He didn’t live there so when the police came she said that she was defending her self and that he was trespassing.

He messed around with another chick that he started knocking around, home girl poisened his ass.

No problem. I deal with it much easier now. But now you understand why i have zero tolerance for the abusers or fake victims. Some things you do cause yourself. I don’t think people should be hit but you must realize in other places people aren’t necessarily taught that value.
