It looks like Howard Stern was wrong about Gabby Sidibe struggling to find work. Guess which Academy Award winning actress recently voiced her approval of the overweight actress, endorsing her as a personal top pick to play her if a biopic of her life is made? Pop the hood to find out.

In the current issue of Glamour magazine Katie Couric interviews Whoopi about who she’d choose to play her in a biopic and she says:

“I’d love Gabby Sidibe to do it, because that’s a girl with a spirit. And in order to play Whoopi Goldberg, you’d have to have a spirit.”

We’d love to see this one…

In the same interview Whoopi reveals that she got her name while performing with a theater group in San Francisco because she was very gassy and there was no way for her to hide it in the shared dressing room space. The other actors told Whoopi she was a regular “Whoopie Cushion”.
