I dont think it was meant in a racial way. I just think that we dont get to see that image portrayed very often with black families. Hollywood would like the world to believe that black families dont do those things, we dont believe in family values and we dont have happy endings. When its just not true. It may not be as prevalent as most typical white families, but it does exist. It is so few and far between though, that when we do see it, it kinda makes you sigh, give you hope.
