Lesley Herring, whose sister actress Aasha Davis has appeared on “Grey’s Anatomy,” went missing over a year ago. Now her husband, Lyle Sanford Herring, is being held on $1 million bail. Pop the hood.

According to the Web site Crimesider (from the folks behind “48 Hours Mystery”), Herring denied involvement last year, but cops are not buying his story.

Actress Aasha Davis’ brother-in-law has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife Lesley Herring, who disappeared over a year ago.

Lyle Stanford Herring Sr., 56, is scheduled to be back in court June 30. The judge denied a request that he be released on his own recognizance. Herring is being held on $1 million bail.

Authorities say Herring’s wife, Lesley Herring, disappeared in Feb. 2009. She was reported missing by her sister, Aasha Davis.

Davis learned her sister hadn’t shown up to work for several days before she vanished. Her body has never been found.

This is a disturbing tale, she couldn’t have just disappeared into thin air. Bossip will be keeping an eye on this case.
