Actually if you read their taxes they also paid “tithes” to their Christian church (which would be 10% of their income) and last I checked the church is a nonprofit. (I too am Christian and pay 10% of my income to my church that in turn uses the money to lift the surrounding community as well as giving to various other causes). What percentage of your income do you give to charity?

What’s wrong with abortion rights? It isn’t abortion “mandates”. No one is being forced to provide or undergo abortions. What’s your beef?

I don’t know about you, but my income isn’t above $250,000.00 (yet I’m working on it) so my taxes won’t increase.

i read your post and it sounds convincing, the only problem is:

1. you talk about how much money you make and how you dont need to lie YET YOUR NOT WILLING TO PROVE HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MAKE, TO PROVE YOU DONT NEED TO LIE. (i suppose alot of people in your area know your name and where you work so what does it matter if strangers over the internet know your name and where you work)

I agree whole-heartedly: we have every right to be proud of Barack Obama–not just as a human being but as a prime example of a good black man, son, husband and father. Why we vote for him is totally our business–like ‘they’ haven’t voted for utterly ridiculous reasons and biases themselves. Barack the vote baby!!

Furthermore, where was this outpouring of issues when all we had available was a white candidate to vote for and black people still supported the Democrat 90% of the time? No one had a problem with it until now. Why? Because he’s 1/2 black. This is utterly ridiculous.

It amazes me that people cannot see that in the short time he’s been in the senate he has actually had comprehensive legislation PASS. Meaning he uses his time wisely. Hillary was in the Senate twice as long, can you tell me any legislation she has had pass? (and I don’t mean legislation she just voted on… I mean legislation she has either authored or sponsored…).

Being in a position for 35 years and getting nothing done vs being there for 3 years and getting a lot done (clean up of nukes, veterans benefits, ethics reform-See Barack Obama) means a heck of a lot more to me. Someone who has Republicans speaking out at a Democratic National Convention in support of him, while others still fight the party line… hmmm? I choose the former. A person who proposes tax cuts for everyone making 75,000.00 or less. No tax increases for people making 250,000 or less? And a roll back of tax-cuts for those who make over 250,000.00? I’ll go with that dude. A person proposing affordable health care which is your choice to take or leave. Yep. I’m with him. Someone who knows that education should be a top priority and people should have a choice and not be legislated into deciding to be parents or not. (I don’t personally agree with abortion, but who am I to tell someone in the situation they can’t make the decision. That is so hypocritical when the same opponents of abortion are quick to fry somebody…).

So as for those of the same flesh as PINK please take time to actually read, research, and then recite. Otherwise you sound like a bumbling idiot with this “Black people only vote for him because he’s black.”

Maybe just maybe, black people are smart enough to look beyond the BS that gets spinned on a daily and look at what we need and who will be more apt to provide it.

I have spent time “shadowing” in the government as a student. I hold a degree in political science. I volunteer and campaign with different political candidates. What I mainly see with many voters is that they vote not on the issues but on BS. So why isn’t it an issue when people vote because they believe someone is a Christian, or because someone is a woman, or they perceive McCain to be a war hero? That’s not a problem? But let one black person vote because Barack is black, and it is the biggest travesty of justice in the world?! LMBO GTFOH!
