Since our US Congress has never afforded poor prison inmates federal appeal legal counsel for their federal retrials,they have effectively closed the doors on these tens of thousands of innocent citizens ever being capable of possibly exonerating themselves to regain their freedom through being granted new retrials.

The shade of our skins really do not tell us much about ourselves. I have white people’s rhesus A- negative blood running through my veins which shocked me as anyone who meet me would say that physcially i look 100% black. My partner who is West African, many people thinks he is mixed raced, which he is not. The part of Nigeria he is from, the Ibo tribe, many are light skinned and it has been so throughout history. Also all mixed raced people are not light-skinned….some black genes are so strong that no amount of mixing can dilute it.

I believe geography may have alot to do with it. I’m from St. Louis and things are very black and white there. Literally. There is still alot of racism and segregation in housing practices. You just pick a side. So maybe your experiences have been different. My niece is also bi-racial (black and puerto rican) but she identifies herself as black. So this is just my personal experience within my small sampling of society.

this is true, but only because we allow it to be so, there is no difference except our perception of other blacks, we are still one, if we could stop with the self-hate, we could probably get somewhere..Glad this thing with Obama, happened, (all of us, no matter, how dark/light/poor/rich and in between) will start respecting ourselves and be proud to look in the mirror..I hope that the masses will start to change the way we treat each other, the way we treat people who are not like us and most important, start to live our lives accomplishing more, I don’t want to see any more black men go to prison for stupid ish, want to see them in the Universities instead, would like to see them with degrees and more entrpreneurs…If this what you believe,Stand Up!…We got alot of work to do…
