Last week he owed a gang of $ on unpaid mortgages and now his Pro-Keds checks have ended:
Stride Rite Corp. has reacquired the rights to the Pro-Keds brand from financially struggling hip-hop mogul Damon Dash. The change for the iconic, 60-year-old shoe comes a week after Dash, who once boasted that he never wears the same socks twice, reportedly may lose two of his properties to foreclosure. Lexington-based Stride Rite insisted Dash’s financial woes had nothing to do with the rebranding. “It was just a matter of timing,” Stride Rite spokeswoman Debra Fernandes said yesterday. “We just wanted a new direction.”
Damn, we bet Dame is hoping that 4 billion dollar deal he brokered for his wife’s clothing company goes through or they might just be shit out of luck. Poor thang.

He just made a few bad moves, mainly the situation with making Cam president of Roc-a-Fella which Jay didn’t like too much. For the most part, Dame was the brains. Jay was a marketable tool. He’s getting over right now because he’s selling himself (which most people do).

Dont feel sorry for his hubris a$$ at all. He brags about everything like most people from Harlem and doesnt have an ounce of humilty. Made all that money from selling Rocafella Records AND his stake in the clothing line. Sold the Roc record label to LA Reid than got mad when LA gave the name to Jay calling him disloyal, claiming he made Jay. So like Jay says Dame, “..make another me”. He cant because he was riding a wave and he had it all but his own attitude missed everything up. But at least his wife will take care of the family and he will me Mr. Doubtfire

I remember when he had a tv show on that was real wack. He was bragging then about how his ***** did’nt stink. All I could think of was seeing this *****hole in a corporate setting where he was’nt in control, and seeing him make a fool of himself trying to keep it real and gangster in front of corporate america. He was bound to eventually fail, because ghetto can’t hang with coroporate culture and continue to thrive. What they do is use you until you can’t be used anymore, then they throw you out with the trash.

Also…he didn’t have a 4 billion dollar deal. The company he brokered the deal with is worth 4 Billion. His wife has a clothing line with them, and she has the potential to make a lot money. A lot of different brands have lines with this company (including Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor, etc.)
People like him gave me a learning experience that I cannot forget..which is never boast about what you acquired as if you did it all without the aid of a higher spiritual calling (of whatever you believe in..i.e GOD yet there may be others who believe in Luci himself) because it can all be taken back swiftly due to no acknowledgement to whatever was instrumental in your efforts.
crazy to me to say that Dame had the business sense and Jay was just a marketing tool. It should be more than obvious that Jay was the one with the business sense since he’s the successful businessman. He runs the business and thankfully he knew enough to take it from Dame before he screwed it up. I hate to bring thier past lives into this but Jay has always been a business man even if it was the wrong business. Dame was emotional and out of control. He was always yelling at someone, getting into a fight, overtalking people and being a general azz. Jay knew enough to cut him loose. Remember his antics on the movie that traced the concert? Pure foolishness, yelling at everybody. that is not how you do business.
