Robin Thicke: “Vibe Wouldn’t Put Me On the Cover Because I’m White”
Posted by Bossip Staff
Robin Thicke speaks on color in the new Billboard magazine:
When I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I asked, “Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe.” Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman.
I won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding — fight. I look at Mary J. Blige, somebody who has had only a few pop hits and yet has changed culture, generated new sounds and inspired leagues of artists. She’s now a worldwide phenomenon. And it’s because of what she stood for; she never gave up. She kept making great music, pouring her heart out to people.
You can’t always expect people to be as color-blind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you.

Double standards!
2nd. Damn. We need to stop this judging.
he’s full of *****. he’s not on Vibe’s cover because HE’S NOT THAT BIG A STAR YET. sell a few million more albums, then maybe you’ll make the cover. why did he feel the need to mention that he’s married to a black woman? talk about pulling the race card…
What Black women…. Is his wife Black???
white people are the LAST mf’s on this planet who should be trying to call racism anyway.

Well put Mr. Thick….he spoke on the issue really well. It is racist and thats too bad there are double standards like that. I’ve never heard a white magazine say “we dont put black people on the cover” so blatently. That would be racist. so for them to say that no white people can be on the cover, thats racist.
@truth
yeah, he’s married to Paula Patton.
YEs his wife is black…I believe its paula patton
Vibe is full of *****!!! He is a great artist, and they put Eminen on a cover…WTF!!
That’s not true. Gwen Stefanie and Eminem were on the cover. If they were big enough to do it, when he is big enough he can do it. 98% of his fans are BLACK WOMEN!!
gwen stefani was on the cover
Justin Timberlake did the cover of VIBE aswell.
i want to hear Vibe’s side of the story first. who’s to say he’s telling the truth about their response? he could very well be lying. and how do we know white magazines haven’t said the same thing to black artists? maybe they just didn’t go public with it like this guy did. i’m pretty sure there are plenty of white magazines that have done the same thing to black artists.
The point is that Vibe said they dont put whites on the cover ….not that he’s not famous enough
Hold up, Robin Thicke has had one hit record, one! And that was for the ladies, saying you should be on the cover of Vibe is like saying Monique should be on the cover of Smooth or King, *****s aint gonna buy that *****!
Robin, stay your ***** at home with your black wife, keep making songs for women and then maybe after 5 more hits (like Eminem) your ***** can get the cover.
Love 6am…….See when a story is interesting I’ll come back in here and post!
He sounds like he on that crack again.
I like Robin Thicke. And if you have the gall to put talentless people like Eminem on the cover, and other white people like Gwen Stephanie (who isn’t soulful to me at all!) then why not put Robin on. REVERSE RACISM AT IT’S WORST.
I,m so sorry to hear that Robin Thicke because, I really enjoy your music. I can’t even tell you the last time I picked up a Vibe magazine anyway.Sista to Sista yea, Vibe no
@A.K 47 stan obama2008 & john
THANK YOU!!!! that proves that robin thicke is full of ***** and just looking for attention for his album. like i said, he isn’t that big a star yet; there are still PLENTY of people who don’t know who the hell he is.
Okay…I understand exactly what he was trying to say…It’s not just Blacks that get hit with discrimation…it’s everyone of every color. It is not great to be on the other end of discrimation! I don’t believe that he is playing the race card either! I’m pretty sure that his wife has enlighten him at one point or another “HOW” to live or “BE” in a black persons world! I’m pretty sure that we have at one time or another either experienced this or know someone who has. We need to continue to pray and believe in our hearts that “WE” can if *****ody else does…MAKE A CHANGE!
@ROBIN THICKE
DONT YOU WORRY ABOUT IT HONEY. FOR 2 REASONS, YOUR MUSIC IS BRILLIANT AND YOU ARE A TALENTED ARTIST. AND I, WILL BE THE FIRST THING SMOKING TO THE RECORD STORE TO BUY IT. I DONT CARE IF YOU ARE PURPLE. YOU ARE OKAY IN MY BOOK DAMMIT. 2nd REASON YOU SHOULDNT WORRY ABOUT IT, IS BECAUSE VIBE SUCKS ANY DAMNED WAY. AND HAS BEEN SUCKING FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. THATS WHY WHEN THEY CANCELLED MY FREE SUBSCRIPTION, I DIDNT GIVE A DAMN. CAUSE THEY ARE WACK. NOW, KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU, AND KEEP PUTTING OUT THAT GOOD MUSIC.
His music is terrible anyway. He’s not neo-soul, r&b or whatever he says his music is. Just another artist who has a few minutes of fame left. Remember Job B?
His music is terrible anyway. He’s not neo-soul, r&b or whatever he says his music is. Just another artist who has a few minutes of fame left. Remember Jon B?
GOOD AFTERNOON 6AM, MY DISSAPEARING FRIEND. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ANYWAY?
“The point is that Vibe said they dont put whites on the cover ….not that he’s not famous enough”
____________________________________________________
like i said, wait for Vibe’s side of the story. we don’t know that they really said that. and the point is, he’s NOT famous enough for the cover, especially since they HAVE had white artists on their cover. that was most likely the real reason.
Wasn’t Robert Dinero just on the cover with 50cent?
This is offensive as hell that they would tell him this b.s. I remember when Gwen Stefani and Eminem was on the cover. What the hell??
Yeah Vibe got some explaining to do… But I will say that maybe it was because he hasn’t had enough hits but because his white? Thats some bull!
Robin Thicke: “Vibe Wouldn’t Put Me On the Cover Because I’m White”
___________-
so what, stop whinning bi*ch
Im mad that he “ASKED” them anyway.. Hmph!
All I’m going to say is that I hope the comment was taken out of context because I don’t believe that Robin would say “Mary J Blige is someone who only had a few pop hits” because thats not true and wouldnt make sense for him to say that because he helped her write some of those hits….
what?????????????
VERY WELL SAID ROBIN!!! Keep Pushing!
@lady elle
yep, he damn sure was. robin thicke is full of *****, period. i’m sick and tired of white people crying ‘racism’. if you’re white, you have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how it feels to be discriminated against, so shut the ***** up.
AND HOW COME I KEEP MISSING FAW????????????
WTF??????? They had eminem on the cover but not Robin Thicke.
Eminem is really talented, so is Gwen stefani and Robert Deniro, Robin Thicke is famous because he made one song for the women, one song…….. He doesnt deserve the cover yet…..Unless Vibe isb thinking about putting another wack ***** deep south ***** on there, then Robin deserves it more.
that sucks, it should be about music, not color, but unfortunately that will never be the case. Keep doing your thang Robin and one day they may be the ones asking YOU to be on their cover.
oh, and by the way, Mary had more than a FEW pop hits, but we understand what you were trying to say.
Hello everyone! Sorry but now I only comment when a post is interesting.
yep, he damn sure was. robin thicke is full of *****, period. i’m sick and tired of white people crying ‘racism’. if you’re white, you have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how it feels to be discriminated against, so shut the ***** up.
—————————
Ok so thats reeeeeeeeeal fair of you to feel that white people dont experience any racism at all. Thats very one sided and perhaps with your train of thought maybe that is why white people would single you out or be racist to you.
cosign “double standards”
thats bull*****.
I like the new Vibe with Jay-Z on the cover, that ***** is bangin’
Look, you can’t say Robin Thicke is lying, because that’s a helluva accusation. Either he’s a REALLY big liar, and is looking to be blackballed from recieving any interviews from black magazine’s again, or this dude is telling you what they told him.
I don’t see why Vibe really had an issue with Robin Thicke being on the cover. Ashley Simpson or someone like that I could see. Even then it wouldn’t be about race it would be a sales issue. None of the Vibe readers would buy the mag because she doesn’t appeal to them.
Reminds me of the Kimora Lee Simmons on the cover of Source issue. Becuz she was a woman and plus she was not an musical artist. But then they gave in and gave it to her.
FAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COMEBACK!!!!!!
Where i live white *****s/niggettes are discriminated against daily by these natives, and its funny watching their reaction, its like what, you mean I cant get in first, I cant surf here or you’ll kick my *****, whats a Hoali’ You dont have Oscar Mayer bologna, what about Farmer John? can you direct me to the mayonaise aisle? what do you mean you dont sell Wonder “white” bread!
LOL, ROFL……….
6am, I’d miss me too!
OMG, Im still laughing at that one!
Everybody have a safe weekend, and you for all you chunky *****es, just because potato salad has the word “salad” in it, doesnt mean its a diet food and you can eat as much as you want!
That’s interesting. Eminem (sp) made it talking about all the nasty ish he talks about and all the effed up stuff with his baby mama and mother but you get a guy who is promoting love, life, and happiness and he can’t get it. So he can be in the mag with the black folks but not on the cover for the black folks. That’s effed up. Black people are so much more racist than any other race and what makes it worse is that they feel justified to be that way. Giving damn “black card/p*****es” to whoever they feel like. Get over it!!!
robin thicke is the fire thats some good baby naking music…………..
robin thicke is fire!! Thats some good come sex me music
for all you chunky *****es, just because potato salad has the word “salad” in it, doesnt mean its a diet food and you can eat as much as you want!
*DAMN YOU*
Oh, well welcome to our world Robin….
We’ve been getting done like that for years.
Vibe is a black magazine……get over it.
Black people are so much more racist than any other race and what makes it worse is that they feel justified to be that way. Giving damn “black card/p*****es” to whoever they feel like. Get over it!!!
——————–
@ why….I agree. Its completely double standards. black people make racist remarks about whites all the time, but when a white does it, its completely out of line and they’re racist. You cant play the game like that folks…its not fair at all to anyone.
He’s on the cover of Billboard so be happy…not every artist gets a cover and truthfully he isn’t BIG enough to deserve a cover of VIBE and can’t trutfully justify why he should be on the cover. I loved his last CD, but he has only had one hit and unless he blows up like Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, or Em…take what you can get. At least you got interviewed Mr. Ungrateful.
Robin Thicke actually needs to shut the ***** up. All the magazines that refuse to put a black on their cover, and he’s upset because he doesn’t get the Vibe cover.
Yeah, that really helps when white people get the covers of black magazines; but you won’t speak to getting more white magazines to put blacks on the cover in the first place.
Hey, Robin, just because you’re married to a black woman doesn’t give you the right to only complain, Naomi Campbell style, when ‘the rules’ set up to benefit you 99 times out of 100, don’t benefit you that 100th time.
Oh, well welcome to our world Robin….
We’ve been getting done like that for years.
Vibe is a black magazine……get over it.
—————-
forest fire….what white magazine would ever say “we don’t put blacks on our cover” please tell me one white mag…cuz Im pretty sure they dont care and they’ll put whoever is popular/talented/interesting on the front. No hate.
@Official TimeHater (RC’s Cutie wit a booty) wrote, “All I’m going to say is that I hope the comment was taken out of context because I don’t believe that Robin would say “Mary J Blige is someone who only had a few pop hits” because thats not true and wouldnt make sense for him to say that because he helped her write some of those hits….”
He obviously meant to be positive, because he says in spite of her few pop hits she’s changed the culture of music. How very white of him.
It’s time for Robin’s ghetto p***** to be revoked.
FINE AS WINE……
nita you stfu dont bring his wife in that *****!!! I know that its mostly us that listen to his music. And alot of them hard niccas listen to that sensitive ***** and get weak and emotional. so EAT A ***** *****!!
If this is true this is wrong. I am black and I love Robin Thicke. And if it is a wrong for a so call white magazine to do it then it is wrong for a black magazine to do it as well.
vibe sucks and will always suck!!!!!! they are followers in the industry definitely not leaders! average journalism at best and no creativity!!!!!
Don’t you worry bout it boo. We all know your music is the bizness! Keep doing your thing!
@ Why,
***** are you crazy? Black people are the most accepting of all races, we’ll take in broke fat white *****es (just ask any deep south *****), fine broke messycan *****es, fine broke perfect legged asian *****es (just ask me) and its takes alot of restraint not to sock the ***** outta at least one white ***** per day, so dont talk to me about being “the most racist *****’s on the planet”
I could see if it was like a country artist or something, but he makes R&B music very good music…so thats just ignorant to me
@FineAsWine wrote, “forest fire….what white magazine would ever say “we don’t put blacks on our cover” please tell me one white mag…cuz Im pretty sure they dont care and they’ll put whoever is popular/talented/interesting on the front. No hate.”
Just because Beyonce and Tyra (and now Rihanna and/or Alicia Keys) are the token black females allowed on white covers, does not mean these magazines will put women of color on their covers.
I remember when Maxim advertised Aisha Tyler of Talk Soup on their back cover, for the next issue. Was she on the cover when that issue came? No. She had a small single photo and a one page Q&A. That was years ago. When was the last time anyone’s seen a black woman on the cover of Maxim, Stuff, FHM…. AP or Spin?
If I wanted to see a sexy cover of, say, Brandy, I needed to go to King Magazine…….. not Rolling Stone.
So yeah, damn Vibe for being bigotted……. but there’s a bigger problem than Vibe, right now. And that bigger problem trumps Robin ‘One Hit’ Thicke claiming reverse racism.
I thought it was Simon from american idol when I first looked at this picture
THANKS 6 AM THESE HOES ARE CRAZY HE STILL FIRE!!!!
Let me correct myself, im a 3/4’s Vibe reader, Ive noticed that the farther back you read in Vibe it turns into a bunch of Gay *****!
@ 6amhogetout…usually your posts make a lot of sense and I agree…..not today!!! That last comment was so outta line….and did not pertain to this argument at all.
We aint talkin bout *****s being accepting of *****ing other races dumb *****…its just about in general.
FINE AS WINE…I’VE BEEN STALKING YOU FOR 25 MINUTES!!!!!!!!

1st of all, dont *****dy know who the ***** aisha tyler is so thats why she aint get the spotlight….2nd of all ROLLING STONE puts lots of blacks on the cover ….they would never be like VIBE and say ‘we dont put a certain race on our cover’
@OH LAWDY!!!! wrote, “nita you stfu dont bring his wife in that *****!!! I know that its mostly us that listen to his music. And alot of them hard niccas listen to that sensitive ***** and get weak and emotional. so EAT A ***** *****!!”
Go ahead and back up the white boy just because he married a light skinned black woman, the white boy who damns Mary J through faint praise. Go ahead.
I don’t need a ‘hard nicca’; I prefer men who are already taking care of business, instead of finding it easier to live down to society’s negative expectations of them. And he’s not going to need a white boy for permission to ‘be sensitive and emotional’.
Robin Thick has a point, but his point is lost and suspect when he doesn’t also take white magazines to task for providing the example Vibe is following in the first place. Besides, would he diss Vibe like that to a black magazine? Or is he comfortable saying that to a white/mainstream magazine only?
I believe that Robin Thicke would have gotten the cover of Vibe had he stooped to Eminem’s level and just slammed black women a few times rather than appreciating us. I mean after all, after Em went on a racial tirade about black women, things opened up for him (as I recall in 2003, 2004, 2005) and yet some of us went on and still bought his albums. Now here comes Robin Thicke who doesn’t have to do that to sell records and he not only get slammed by his favorite magazine but a few of us as well. Damn shame how some of us get things screwed.
or have a failure to recollect.
And damnit.. I don’t want to hear the term “reverse racism” on BOSSIP!!! Whatsamatta.. your racism machine ain’t goin’ FORWARDS no maw??? First off I do INDEED want to hear VIBE’S side of the story cuz this sounds like all those whites who say “I went to get a job the other day and the hiring manager told me he’d like to hire me but he HAD to give the job to a black man”. That would be dumb because if any manager told you that you could haul him into court in a heartbeat so I know these stories ain’t true. Same thing here.. the cover of VIBE is for big million selling stars and Thicke is still on the level of a mid level R&B up and comer. Dayum.. let’s see if MAXWELL can get on the cover of VIBE again.
Also… HELL NO don’t you be saying blacks are the most racist people out there.. when you see a black comedian make a joke about whites in the audience and then DEMAND they be kicked out and the management of the club complies.. THEN you can talk about how “a white man has no rights in dis country no maw”. Or when you actually count the number of blacks who have made the cover of Us, People, In Touch in the last 5 years vs. the number of albums and airplay many black music artists have gotten.. THEN you can talk about how it’s hard out here for a white man.
@ Ms. Toson
Amen – I agree 1000%
i really want someone to explain to me why it’s called reverse racism? that’s such a stupid term to me. it’s either racist or it’s not.
NITA YOU MAKE 0 SENSE. RACISM SUCKS EITHER WAY. AND IT IS WRONG EITHER WAY…SO ONCE AGAIN EAT A *****
@FineAsWine wrote, “1st of all, dont *****dy know who the ***** aisha tyler is so thats why she aint get the spotlight….2nd of all ROLLING STONE puts lots of blacks on the cover ….they would never be like VIBE and say ‘we dont put a certain race on our cover’”
It shouldnt’ matter whether or not anyone knows who Aisha Tyler is — she was just the host of one of cable’s successful shows, at the time — WHAT SHOULD MATTER IS THAT SHE’S FINE. How many of the women who grace mainstream (white) men’s magazines are well known? Those magazines will put no-name latinas — especially if they’re German Brazilians — on the cover all day long, but suddenly an Aisha Tyler isn’t good enough?
I hope you are not arguing that the only black women who should grace the covers of those magazines are the ones who are very well known to white people?
But the real point of the Aisha Tyler case is that she was advertised on the inside back page, but she wasn’t good enough to get the actual cover. What is that all about? If you’re good enough for a tease, you’re good enough for the cover — particularly if you have more accomplishments than ‘I’m a model’.
Again, Robin has a point if he were actually told that, but the reason why he brought up the point is suspect, selfish and lame.
There’s a reason you’re a Broke *****, Broke *****.
hot sauce for president lauren for first lady.
if vibe said that that was very wrong of them because two wrongs don’t make a righ..this is no different from other mags not putting black people on the cover same thing…vibe is not a hot magazine any damn way…can’t remember the last time I bought a copy
I am black and I like Robin better then half the R&b cats out now…….
HOT SAUSE AND LAUREN 2008 I WILL VOTE

Marshall Mathers is the best selling rap artist of all time, of any color — and he got the first Oscar given to a rap song, to boot. Whether you love him or hate him or feel indifferent, he was selling a lot of albums, therefore he earned his magazine covers.
And, given the fact that Eminem was involved in one of the biggest magazine versus magazine rap beefs of all time, the covers thing may have to reflect that.
In contrast, Robin Thicke………
One of the editors of XXL or Smooth, used to like to make a point about selling magazines, and only putting people on the cover who would sell magazines, because it’s a business. I hate that line of thinking. If Robin Thicke was told he wasn’t getting the cover, we need to know if he was told that because Vibe didn’t think he would sell covers; or if Vibe told him that because they felt that they had a duty to showcase black artists first for whatever reason.
If there’s more to this story, Robin needed to tell it — or Billboard magazine needed to leave that part of the interview intact instead of excising it, whichever actually occurred.
@ Nita
“It shouldnt’ matter whether or not anyone knows who Aisha Tyler is — she was just the host of one of cable’s successful shows, at the time — WHAT SHOULD MATTER IS THAT SHE’S FINE”
If that’s the case then we should be seeing Allesandra Ambrosio or Jaime Pressly on the cover of King or Smoove or Big Butt Weekly, right?
Or can we just cut through all the ***** and stop pretending that there are magazines for men who like white women, magazines for men who like black women, and that you’re just ignorant for pretending otherwise? There are magazines for dudes who prefer *****, legs, feet, women in leather, chicks with pork and beans in their shoes, and damned near every other thing you can think of. Why the hell do we have to jump up and down and call Jesse and Al the moment that a black woman isn’t on the cover of a magazine that is sold 99.9% to white frat boys? If you aren’t going to call the NAACP because Hanna Montana didn’t make the cover of Ebony then just shut the hell up and quit wasting my damned time.
(that last bit wasn’t directed at you, Nita. Just ranting…)
I believe VIBE told him that, but so? There are a number of magazines that don’t put Blacks even inside the cover.
I understand VIBE’s point. This is a magazine that focuses on Blacks and unless you are someone that is critical to the Black music industry (I could make an argument for Eminem, Robert Deniro and Gwen Stefani), then you not going to be on the cover.
Being married to a Black woman (yes, he is married to a Black woman) doesn’t qualify you.
there *aren’t* magazines…
dammit.
Gwen Stefani, Eminem, and Justin Timberlake were all on the cover cause they SELL MAD ALBUMS!!!
Robin Thicke got him a lil following, but I did a little research on him after reading this – his 2006 album JUST went platinum… Sales Thicke, that’s why you they didn’t put you on the cover…
@ Fine as wine,
Robin Thicke doesnt desrve the cover because he aint a star……..yet.
Poor thang. He can be on my cover as long as I don’t get a beat down from Paula.
Look at what White artists VIBE did promote? Eminem, who’s music is mysogynistic, Gwen Stefani, who takes bits and pieces of Caribbean culture and puts it on her over-priced clothes to look “cool”, and Justin “Sell-Out” Timberlake himself, who famously left Janet out to dry…who’s the real enemy these days, the White man, or so-called Blacks who will pimp out and exploit the baser nature of Black culture just to make a dime? Robin Thicke makes beautiful music, maybe if you turned down Lil’ Boosie’s “She Dykin”, you could hear it!
________________________________________________
I agree with Shannon O.
It’s double standards…they claimed the only white artist they put on the cover was Eminem.
When Vibe wanted to interview Kimora Simmons and she stated she wanted a cover – they told her they ‘only put artists on the cover.’ Well low and behold her publicist BJ fought and guess what … KiKi got her cover.
So why can’t Robin get his???
Oh yeah and being married to a black woman doesnt automatically give you a p***** to comment on racism, he’ll never experience the ***** you’ll experience, if a real ***** insults his wife Robin cant do ***** to stop him (and you know *****s will test him) If he isnt in his daddy’s will and he doesnt get another hit record she’s gonna leave his ***** anyway for the next #1 NBA pick!
Man we don’t have time for this Robin, did you watch the DNC last night? We on the moved slim. LOL
blacks get rejected all the time by whites….no sympathy here
I love Robin Thicke, and I know a lot of black folks who went out and got his cd when it came out. He’s different, yet very talented…and to know he has a thing for black women is VERY sexy lol. F*ck Vibe mag….someday he’ll be on something better anyway. Keep doin your thing boo, and hopefully another album is coming soon!
Damn his wife is fine!
Biracial Bombshell,
Are you one of those fine ***** 1/2 black 1/2 whatever *****es, or are you one of those 1/2 black fat *****es who think because shes 50% something else, who doesnt need a weave and liteskin so *****s should fall all over themselves for you and ignore the fact that youre 130lbs overweight?
hey 6am!! *waving*
Vibe isn’t ***** anyway! I stop reading along time ago! His wife is cute though! damn shame! we have to move forward! It is too many racist people out here
Bye
Wow! It is not bad
im officially in love with ITS6AM…………..
HipHop weekly is funny
Wow!
I live in Hawaii and the natives do not like white folks. We’re military and I know plenty of white peeps who said they never felt racism until they moved to Hi. So racism is out there for all people.
On another note: They are not always so nice to blacks either.
lol @ how people blow ***** outta wack…robin Is talented no matter what some of u say..he never once said he was upset..he was just telling HIS side..and im sure there is always VIBE’s side..i dunno how you all go on the topic of all this other *****..neway..he’s on somebody’s cover!
Bossip post some more interesting stories.
“Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem”…
If this was their response, they are TRULY racist. How the hell you gon put that white ***** eminem on there..If hes lying, hes a lying ***** ***** lol…
***correction*** as well as a ***** that could only hit 2 notes on the head lol
I love me some Robin Thicke, just keep making good music babe. Dump Paula and get you a real sista… like me. j/k
First of all, the article is about him being a White artist doing soul music i.e. blue eyed soul. He was not whining or crying or playing the race card. He was stating a point from his perspective. He didn’t cry racism, he said he respected their decision. Robin was very candid, and just recently called out the racist White men who criticize Obama on the radio last week. So can we stop judging people for once. We have gotten so sick in the head as people we can’t spot real racist bull*****.
He look so much like his dad.. I love his music, I think he should get a cover,
Robin is the business, I think what he said is true-double standards are evident especially when it comes to magazines like Vibe. Im a black woman and nothing he said offended me, he didn’t even really try to sound victimized he just told it like it is.
…I agree with him… Eminem, are you joking…same white boy that calls black women *****es and black men *****s.
@ Lola, I live in Honolulu, In hawaii kai, Im black and the only racism Ive experienced is when I was 13 and some older high school white ***** called me nig………. I didnt finish spelling the word because thats all he could get out before my asian *****s was on his *****! I actually felt sorry for him and tried to stop them but they told me to stay the ***** out of it they beating his ***** because of what white people did to the natives 120 years ago.
*****ody likes military *****s here because most are from the deep south aint aint never seen a ***** this fine, natural hair, no kids, not an ounce of fat on her, shortest shorts you’ll ever see and nice, deep south *****s are too aggressive because they;ve never been anywhere.
6 am you bored baby? we canget somethin started
but you can come to my crib….
its 8am*****get out
UM OK FINE AS WINE…YOU ACKNOWLEDGE 6AM,,,BUT CONTINUE TO IGNORE ME…..(THROWS SWEET POTATO SOUFFLE AT WIZZO)
Dang…we can’t have nothin huh? How long did it take for a black person to get on Rolling Stone? Vogue? He can blow but he trippin. How come he ain’t askin Jet or Sista Sista to be on the cover? *****outtahea! He’s had plenty of exposure in the Vibe..2 albums and he wants the cover? And only one of em was bangin…ya trippin Thicke
lol@ leave it be….Im sorry babe I forgot you said you were stalking me…whats good
@ Lola(Check me out!)
I live in Hawaii and the natives do not like white folks. We’re military and I know plenty of white peeps who said they never felt racism until they moved to Hi. So racism is out there for all people.
On another note: They are not always so nice to blacks either.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just like Gilligan’s Island… Huh…
The natives don’t want *****ody peein in their water and knockin up day daughters.
Cause u know dats what outsiders do…
I bet they be like, A three hour tour my a$$ they been here too dam long. You don’t have to go home but you got to get da fu#k outta here!
@6am
Who needs a “p*****” to talk about racism. Anyone can talk about racism because anyone can experience it. I love the attitude around here that since we’ve been oppresed, we have carte blance to act like bigots to anyone in our way. That’s bull*****.
I don’t care about this dude whinging on about his Vibe cover. It’s insignificant. But I do care about us not acting like hypocrites. The whole “real *****s” ***** is hilarious. If you step to someone white because you want to punk them in front of their black girlfriend, YOU ARE A REAL N—–. And I don’t mean that in a compilmentary way. Picture going to the some mostly white message board and reading a bunch of rednecks talk about how they would punk some famous black man in front of his white girlfriend. How they’d show that “boy” his place.
Sounds pretty ignorant and pretty bigoted. Sounds just like some of you here. Some of y’all need to listen to what you are saying, then substitute “white” for black, and imagine a white person saying what you just wrote. You’d flip the F out.
I loooooooooove sweet potatos…mmm
*LIB LOOKS AROUND W/ HER NOSE IN THE AIR*
IS SOMEONE TYPING TO ME…..
HEY WIZZZZOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OF COURSE YOU WOULD RESPOND TO FOOD…YOURE PROBABLY BAKING SOMETHING NOW, HUH????
@ Common sense….co sign 100 about not needing a p***** to talk about racism. Thats completely hypocritical to tell someone else they dont deserve to complain about being discriminated in any way.
UUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH! Robin your pic pretty much sums it up!
@ Wenzel Dashington(Check me out!)
Dang…we can’t have nothin huh? How long did it take for a black person to get on Rolling Stone? Vogue? He can blow but he trippin. How come he ain’t askin Jet or Sista Sista to be on the cover? *****outtahea! He’s had plenty of exposure in the Vibe..2 albums and he wants the cover? And only one of em was bangin…ya trippin Thicke
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
COSIGN…
What he don’t realize is that it is lame to ask for the cover. If your sh#t is like that they will offer it to you. If you have to ask for it then you haven’t earned it, simple as that.
ummm no not baking…im at work eating my subway..my $5 footlong
“If you have to ask for it then you haven’t earned it, simple as that.”
^ thank you, but this simpleminded weak ***** fool dont get it
Its6am…hence the name…bombshell…lol. I’m one of thos half black half whatever as you wanna call it fine *****es….lol. I do know some females like the other biracials you described lol, but not me.
@ CommonSense,
Ive been call nig……. before, I didnt spell out the whole word because thats all that older whiteman could *****ounce before my asian *****s was on his *****, they damn near killed him.
@Wenzel Dashington
We’ve been on the cover of Rolling Stone a million times. I’d say about 25-30% of the covers are of black artists.
Jesus, there’s tons of racism out there and some of y’all are *****ing about Vibe, Robin Thicke and Rolling Stone?????
Subway sucks, I can make a *****in’ salami sandwich at home.
@ Just sayin…..so you just sayin that white people should have to go thru it now too? Thats justice to any human?
vogue and many other magazines have had a no black on the cover policy for years. And if they put Eminim on the cover what does that tell you. The reason robin won’t use the word racism to describe this situation is because he has a black woman and wouldn’t disrespect her by incinuating this is the same as the experience black ppl have when trying to get on the cover of a white magazine. so please don’t start that fight, Essence doesn’t put white women on the cover because it is our way of balancing the playing ground. If you are black and are on the cover of a white mag you know you are the baddest one out. So the same applies for our magazine, only difference is Robin, and Jon B are the only white crooners even checking for the black mags anyway, besides a lot more ppl read Billboard than Vibe so he’s doin’okay, this will have no affect on his career, and he’ll still probley be bigger than any other R& B artist who came out during the same time.
@6am
Why are you telling me that?
Good for you. You sound like a real bad***** dude. I love internet gangsters……
ANY NICCAS IN HERE OVER 6′3 I HATE SHORT MEN!!
I’d like to officially lodge my complaint about Vibe, stop with all that gay ***** on the last 20 pages! You go from reading an article on NWA to pictures of *****s in pink lipstick modeling tight ***** clothes!
What was your frame of mind while recording “Something Else”?
My music is going to be exactly what I’m going through and feeling at the time. I don’t walk in with a concept. I just write songs and by the time I get to the end, I say, “OK, this is what the songs seem to be talking about as a whole opposed to individual moments.”
These new songs are talking about a time for change and hope; to get away from all the sadness, loneliness and depression that I used to live in. This album expresses the celebration I’m going through and the healing I want to give to people. It’s also about what’s going on in the world with politics and race. The closer Barack Obama gets to the White House, it’s all about race now. They’re all trying to make it seem like he is playing the race card when he’s just an American running for president. How my wife and I still aren’t able to walk in Mississippi without people looking at us like we’re crazy. The laws may have changed, but the whispering hasn’t.
What is the major difference between your first two albums?
“World” was about expression and the limitless possibilities of music. I just tried to do anything and everything on it. When I go back and listen to it now, it’s a bit of a showoff album. It’s a lot of dribbling through the legs and behind-the-back p*****es.
The second album is about a guy who’s been stripped of everything. He doesn’t have any money and is about to lose his house. His wife is off becoming a movie star and everyone else is pretty much leaving him. All the cool friends I’d had stopped inviting me to parties. I was all alone at home writing songs on my piano about what I was feeling. Thus came “Complicated,” “Can U Believe,” “I Need Love,” “2 the Sky” and “Angels.” All these songs were about brokenhearted loneliness and hopelessness; trying to still believe in myself.
Did you consider quitting music altogether?
No, because music is my life. There were a couple of thoughts about maybe quitting on life altogether. I didn’t have the knife on my arm, but emotionally I thought, “God, what am I here for? You tell me that I’m supposed to make music. I feel this and know I’m supposed to, but you won’t give it to me.”
However, that defeat turns out to be the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I was a very *****y young kid. Having been knocked down and pushed to the ground made me appreciate life, my friends and all the people who help me have a hit. Gratitude and appreciation are some of the greatest gifts of life, and that’s what I’ve come to live in.
Were your parents’ connections with the entertainment industry a help or a hindrance?
It never helped. It’s always been a hindrance, still to this day.
People can’t see me without seeing them, and it affects the way people see me. On late-night talk shows I’ve heard remarks like, “Isn’t his dad kind of straight and corny?” and “How can he be cool when his dad was on a TV show that wouldn’t be cool by any standards?”
When you listen to Jay-Z’s music, you don’t see his mother and father standing there. You don’t even think of his mother and father. But if you knew all of Jay-Z’s family, you might think of him differently. With me, people still visualize my dad and that affects the origin of the music.
In a 2006 billboard.com interview, you said you realized that your music and your career are two different things. Do you still feel that way?
Yes, because I love my music unconditionally when *****ody else does. Everyone cares how it performs and, obviously, I care how it performs. But before I release it, I sit there with it, adore and enjoy it. So my music and I have a wonderful relationship. My career and I . . . we’re always in the boxing ring.
Do you buy into the blue-eyed soul tag you’ve been given?
It’s a joke. It’s like saying I can’t do rock’n'roll. As musicians, we’re dying for those things to go away. We’re just hoping we can make the music that we want to and not be pigeonholed by our skin color. Yet it affects me all the time.
What is it like trying to break the color line from the other side?
When I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I asked, “Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe.” Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman.
I won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s a tough—but rewarding—fight.
You can’t always expect people to be as colorblind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you.
What question about your music has become your pet peeve?
People ask me, “Why did you choose to make R&B music?” R&B music chose me. I have no choice; I make what I love. That’s like asking, “Why did you choose that woman to marry?” It just happened. I’m a soulful artist who crosses genres of music just like Sly Stone, Prince, Stevie Wonder and the Beatles.
At 7 years old, I was listening to Michael Jackson and Prince; Van Halen and Poison. I didn’t relate to the loud and long hair as much as I did the soulfulness. At 13 I was wearing Cross Colours and listening to N.W.A. I thought there were a lot of white kids like me. But the older I got I realized that white kids weren’t doing what I was also doing at 13, singing songs by Aretha Franklin, Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Guy and Boyz II Men. So the music I’m making now is not the result of a career choice. It’s who the ***** I am. Period. ••••
Now, where is crying in that. He ain’t playing a damn victim. He is just talking openly about race, politics, and his music.
…Paula Patton is biracial not black.
Well Danx! WTF….that wasn’t required. I guess Vibe isn’t about putting what is hot on the cover. SMDH @ Vibe’s antiquated thinking.
@common sense
I know we have been on Rolling Stone numerous times but how long did that take? How long has Vibe been out? Didn’t mean literally but my point was unitl we were major players or #1 artists in the country. I’m not *****in about Vibe, Robin is…My point is he’s been hot for 1 album and he wants the cover. Again, he’s received love inside along with other really good artist
6′4, 208lbs, *****in’ beautiful, Honolulu, no kids, not married, educated, employed, opinionated, loves fine ***** black, asian, messycan or white women or 1/2 black ones, wont take you shopping but will drop you off at ala moana or kahala mall.

@Official TimeHater, Don’t be mad keep reading:

That’s like Toccara asking to be on Vogue LOL..already…Or David Banner complainin about not getting the GQ/Men’s Fitness cover when he just started steppin up his game..Im not sayin I’m just sayin
hates soulfood
You live in Honolulu?
DEAD @ all the clueless black women defending Robin Thicke’s remark. White magazines have done this mess for years. Rolling Stone was the biggest and they were notorious for having all white artists on their covers. With the popularity of R&B acts they were literally forced to include black entertainers. It was the same with MTV.
Honestly, I don’t think Robin deserves the cover. He’s only had one hit so far and needs a few more before he starts yapping about nothing.
@blaq
I am curious to see your evidence of a “whites only” policy at Vogue. How bout some proof?
Essence and Vibe are two different fruit. Essence is a magazine for BLACK WOMEN. Vibe is a R&B and Hip-hop magazine. It just so happens that 98% of those artists are black.
But then, 98% of Rock artists are white. So should Spin or Rolling Stone tell Lenny Kravitz or Bloc Party they can’t be on the cover because they are black?
Do some of you think before speaking? Maybe pause a second to verify if what you’re saying makes sense or is even true?
Naw, never that. Right?
That’s like Toccara asking to be on Vogue LOL..already…Or David Banner complainin about not getting the GQ/Men’s Fitness cover when he just started steppin up his game..Im not sayin I’m just sayin

No man will love you like a black man, no man can understand your pain like a black man, no man can keep you on your toes like a black man, no man will ruin your credit like a black man, no man will wreck your new car like a black man………hey wait I went offtrack somewhere!
Not necessarily defending robin thicke…more like defending whats right dumb *****
@ Wenzel
Your arguement for Thicke not getting the cover because he’s not that big is true.
The Roling stone ***** is just not true. The first published in 1967 and they had a black artist on the cover within 2 years.
Admittedly, black artists in Mainstream rock and roll are a lot more prominent than white R&B singers. But if you want to call out white racism, you’re barking up the wrong tree with Rolling stone. Vogue I can see, in that they’ve ignored black women too long. But even they have wisened up some.
It’s all about playing to your demographic. Vibe is readers would rather see Chris Brown that Robin. They should have just said that, and ignored the race aspect. Because like you said, Dude ain’t all that nice anyway.
6am…Robin’s style is sexy…he is different than all these other people tryna blend in the game
No man will love you like a black man, no man can understand your pain like a black man, no man can keep you on your toes like a black man, no man will ruin your credit like a black man, no man will wreck your new car like a black man………hey wait I went offtrack somewhere!
OH LAWDY MISS CLAWDY!!!!!!!
@ Fine as wine,
My sister and her husband bought a house in Gardena and one in Moreno Valley (now named Rancho bellago) because Donald trump is building a golf course nearby.
Im going to L.A. next week for the awards show and Im gonna buy something!
@6am
You’s a funny dude……
its6amhogetout
thats exciting….nothin better than moving on up!
His account of his dealings with VIBE magazine just doesn’t add up. There have been several white artists on the cover of VIBE. It sounds like he made up his own reason for why he was not given the cover shot. He is salty and feels that just because he makes R&B music and “Married a black woman”, who is not fully black by the way, he should get a p*****. But the bottom line is he is not successful enough yet to be on the cover. You can marry all the half black women in the world and sing our music all you want. But in the end you still have to earn your respect through your craft.
I dont see you hoes defending Tank, Joe or Jodeci because they didnt get the cover of Spin or Billboard.
Lost Without A Clue…
Tell you why you can’t be on Vibe…
And why blue eyed soul don’t make you black…
That they don’t want white boys on da cover…

@Common Sense
Thanks for the knowlege. I wasn’t calling out white racism..Ok then Rolling Stone is a bad example…they are rather progressive..But who was the artist? Was it someone KILLIN the game? Or was it someone luke warm at the time with one album under his belt? Also, I’m finding it really hard to imagine them sayin that back to him…especially since they have had white artists on the cover before..Usually Vibes cover artists are killin the game at the time..
GOOD WE DONT WANT ROBIN ON THE COVER ANYWAY LOL HE CANT EVEN SING!
yeah i’d support robin a lil bit more if he was married to a Whoopi Goldberg lookin’ *****!
Umm Robin Thicke sucks.. Not sure what songs yall been listening to but dude can’t sing..
Give me a *****ing break please. This corny ***** white boy is over rated as it is, he doesnt’ belong on the cover ov Vibe, he’s wack. His singing is mediocre, his songs are wack, and he corny as hell. I’ll be so glad when all those monkey face black *****es quit acting like he’s Justin Timberlake or Usher. I don’t like ***** ***** Justin either, but at least he can sing, dance, and make good music. That ***** on the top of this screen sucks. If it was a black man with a weak ***** voice like him and tired lyrics he wouldn’t get no play, and that’s what I call a double standard, not keeping him out of a magazine he doesn’t belong in.
Or a fantasia lookin’ hoe, Then he’d get my sympathy.
Robin I think you are really sincere about the whole situation. But this is nothing new it happens all the time. If it does not kill u it will only make you stronger. You with a sister so I know you are not as sensitive as your appearing. So chalk it up work harder and better so when they ask you you can say “NO”. You aight next move is??????????????????.
I’d rather see Michael McDonald on the cover b4 robin dic$e.
Does Mariah count? LOL! How about Obama? Wait, Michael Jackson?

LMAO….
Yeah I guess they do count as black cause the at least got some black in em.
They don’t think because they up in some black they can get the cover.
I just can’t believe the reps of Vibe would say something like this Like one person stated above Gwen was on the cover with Pharell and Robert DeNiro was on this year’s cover with tired ***** 50cents. I’m sistah and this hurts.
@6am
Nicca, I lived in HI for 2 and a half years, Houston alone got badder bytches then all them damn islands put together. ***** outta here talking that dumb shyt nicca about the south. Matter of fact the few fine bytches on that island were either military or visiting. I should say konichiwa, Japan own all that shyt over there nicca.
Please!!! He is a white man living in the U.S. He gets so many other advantages he needs to stop whining. I hate when white people, especially white men, whine and want to holler racism over dumb stuff like this. Everything but the Burden….white people want everything *****ociated with black culture except the burden that comes with being black. Fall back Robin!!!
Oh and one more thing Justin Timberlake is on the cover all by himself (Vibe Feb 2003)come on now! Would we be in a funk if they had “Teen Marie” on the cover. Let’s be real about it.
Hoe sit down there has been more than on white person on the cover of Vibe-the reason you’re not on it is b/c you’re a one hit wonder……..& then to have the nerve to bring MJB into it sayings that she only a few hits & now she’s huge she has had hits since been out unlike you,you lil punk ***** dude(using your wife for youur so-called credibility in r&b music)
@candy girl
THANK YOU…I was lookin online for what issue that was or if I was trippin…and Justin got the cover cuz he was killin the game at the time..he even had Usher mad!! LOL!!

As I re-read the article he says ” I won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding — fight.” So he’s not saying its racism.
What I didn’t like – which came out of his mouth -which has me thinking – “Is this fool for real” is his quote about Mary J. Blige – “I look at Mary J. Blige, somebody who has had only a few pop hits and yet has changed culture, generated new sounds and inspired leagues of artists.”
Now Robin don’t get it twisted about my girl Mary. She’s had more than a “few” pop hits. With this statement – he needs to get his head out of his ***** and leave that *****e (snort snort) alone. He tweaked out when he said that *****.
@Just Sayin
MICHAEL MCDONALD!!! LMAO! HE WAS THE TRUTH!!!!
@Do it Big,
Youre a military *****, no fine ***** would ever wanna get with a military ***** because ya’ll dont have ***** to offer. I dont know one fine ***** island ***** who wants discounted afrosheen from the PX, or 1/2 of your $800 a month check, or a sip from your sizzurp cup!
***** get serious! Houston *****es finer than Hawaii *****es?
Vibe blows anyway. He should be geeked up that he hasn’t been on the cover of that crap magazine. I haven’t read that boring @ss magazine in years.
To be racist you have to have three things… first there has to be a disproportionate balance of power, two a prejudice and three the means/resources to enforce/nurture that prejudice. To say black people are racist implies that all these things are available to them and the truth is it that they are not. We may have our prejudices or preferences but we hold no real means of applying or for that matter enforcing or prejudices to the levels that constitutes them to be considered racism. I wouldn’t consider this racism as Mr. Thick clearly understands and stated in a round about way. My feeling is that it isn’t as much racism as it is someone (Thick) wanting to be included in something that wasn’t designed for him. Vibe couldn’t afford to play the racism game in this society because it would sadly lose, the deck is stacked against them. I think he knows this and wanted the cover but when he didn’t get it… implied it was a race issue to the other publication, he is after all promoting a new cd … I would love to hear the Vibe’s response to this allegation. We also have to remember that the Vibe once owned by Quincy Jones was sold in 2006 so there could have been a culture shift at the publication.
my advice to robin thicke is check the back of your neck…maybe the answer lies there.
@Common Sense
They actually had Tina Turner on the cover the first year! I stand corrected…but somehow I feel you got my point.
rofl
I guess since White folks think they are not being treated fairly. They should start a march on each city and let Robin Thicke be the white MLK and fight for their rights just like we did.
It is sad if Vibe really said that to him. However, why would he ask them to be on the cover? Shouldn’t they have offered that option to him first? It’s so curious to me to hear a White person cry “reverse discrimination” when they can’t get what they want when dealing with a Black establishment/institution. They expect us to be receptive of whatever they do, especially if they come at us from an urban perspective – just because he’s married to a Black woman doesn’t make him Black or more acceptable to Blacks in general. He’s still white. In my opinion, (White) apples don’t fall too far from the (White) tree.
Vibe is wack now anyway….
heres what i saw the last time I was in Houston, broke *****es walking around the galleria mall trying to get *****s to buy them something, magic johnson theatres that you south *****s are trying to tear up, army, navy, airforce recruiting offices, fat *****es in the tightest ***** you’ll ever see, rent a rim stores, advertisements for “real indian hair” weaves, bail reduction services and bailbondsmen who only need 5-7% down instead of 10%, messycans on top of messycans, millions of churches chickens, *****s wearing t-shirts as dresses, watermelon for sale trucks on every corner and nail shops.
Its6amHoGetOut – I’m a navy bratt – and believe me there’s a lot of females out there wanting a military man. Back in my day 80’s 90’s and even now that was thing to do. All my friends were trying to hook up with brothas in the military. You get knocked up by one, child support is a must and if you didn’t get that money and the report you to your commanding officer – then you’re ***** is gr*****. I’ve seen it happened too many times. Military life for most wives, girlfriends means a steady check coming in, and you do not have to pay rent or electricity as long as you live on the base. Plus free medical. PPPllleeaaseee! Now this is what I know and lived through on the westcoast – Cali – now it maybe different in your neck of the woods – but I’m just giving my input on why women want men in the military.
And another thing – why are we talking about this in this forum? Isn’t this blog suppose to be about Robin Thicke????
@6am
Not quite nicca, I said I lived out there, had a job out there, not that I was stationed. And nicca if you consider bytches with decent faces and no azzes fine then thats yo right, you know and I know that most of the hoes on that Island are Japanese, hell I go out to Toykyo regular, all you gotta be is black and its on, it aint shyt to me. Hell I saw mo niccas bringing bytches from the states out there then anything. Nicca you too emotional to understand real shyt, so I won’t even get into what these females worldwide got to have, regardless. But if you had a fine island bytch, you wouldn’t be so emotional nicca, especially about other niccas? puzzy keep a nicca from doing such thangs. So I’m gone say this shyt here for you and any other nicca on Bossip, Another nicca can’t stop you from pulling females, that shyt is all on you. To even use that shyt as a reason is beyond hating or dyck in the *****, its an embarr*****ment to all real niccas past, present & future. You should be so engulfed in the beauty and fine*****ness of a female that you don’t even notice no niccas anywhere, let alone what the ***** they tactics for pulling something is. Yous a lame azz nicca, the shyt is coming through my monitor.
1. If Robin Thicke expects everyone to be “color-blind or open-minded” then how come he ain’t *****ing about the mainstream/white media’s age old discrimination against black artistes? If all artists were measured on talent you know there wouldn’t be hardly any white singers reaching the final stages of American Idol.
2. “I won’t use the word “racism.”” He won’t because that’s what he really means but he’s too much of a ***** to really say it and knows he would really have to explain his *****ing if he did say it was “racism”.
2. Since when does *****ing black women give a paleface insight into black people think? I following his logic his great-great-great-great-grandfathers must of had a psychic understanding of black folk after all the *****ing they did on the plantation.
3. “What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did.” Does he think Bob had him and his ancestors in mind when he was singing “400 years”, “Get Up, Stand Up”, “Zimbabwe” and “No Woman No Cry”?
It’s not “reverse racism” that’s the issue here it’s reverse tokenism. He thinks he’s earned his ghetto p***** and is *****ed that there’s no spot for a token white a the moment. If Jon B couldn’t get a Vibe cover why does this Jon B knock-off think deserves one? Besides has dude looked in the mirror recently?
@6am,
heres what i saw the last time I was in Houston, broke *****es walking around the galleria mall trying to get *****s to buy them something, magic johnson theatres that you south *****s are trying to tear up, army, navy, airforce recruiting offices, fat *****es in the tightest ***** you’ll ever see, rent a rim stores, advertisements for “real indian hair” weaves, bail reduction services and bailbondsmen who only need 5-7% down instead of 10%, messycans on top of messycans, millions of churches chickens, *****s wearing t-shirts as dresses, watermelon for sale trucks on every corner and nail shops.
And HI aint got the same shyt except they Japanese, Samoan, and phillipino, nicca come better then that. Look nicca I aint got the emotion to argue with you, you got bytch tendancies, I ***** bytches I don’t argue with em!
Damn Its6amHoGetOut you even talking about my state -Texas – but I have to say yeah – its kind of bad out in Houston – it reminds me of Mississippi or some backwoods *****. Hey don’t hate on the Churches Chicken though
San Antonio is nothing like Houston. So I guess I ain’t got too much to say – but I never thought it got like what you’re describin. My god! Like they did in EPA – East Palo Alto California – take all the crap out and replace it with properious things. EPA had a liquor store on every single – and I mean every single corner. Now you go down there – you wouldn’t even reconize it. Small businesses have opened up and the city is now making revenue – maybe this is what Houston needs to do. DAMN!
Oh and DoHerBig,
Konnichiwa is just a greeting, All children over here get some form of training in a foreign language in school…….
What you meant to say was “wataschii wataka schoschi nihongo” that tells her you can understand a lil Japanese, from that point she’ll be impressed then wanna talk to your ***** and teach you more later that night, get a clue *****, you couldnt pick up asian *****es because your grill wasnt shiny enough or they could tell it was nothing more than aluminum and cubic zirconiums, same as Young berg’s chain and pendant.
Love 6am
@6am,
Nicca didn’t you just read what I said? I aint gotta to say shyt to them japanese girls when i am in Tokyo 3 times a year on business homie.
@Candygirl,
Like every city there are good parts and bad parts, This nicca speaking like HI is perfect…lol
OBAMA 2008 YAAL!
@ DoHerBig,
Thats a lot of response for a ***** who dont like to argue, so I guess that makes you the *****BOY huh?
They better give that man the cover!!!!!
Yeah I agree with Robin Thicke and I like the approach that he took. For them to tell him that they don’t put white people on the cover except Eminem….tells me that they are not only racist but ignorant as well.
I guess if Robin Thick had some cornrolls and was selling out his own people then he would be accepted!! It’s a damn shame. As for the comment about him pulling out the race card, I feel he is warranted because racism comes from all genres of people. A racist is a racist point blank.
It’s not about record sales its about respect and the love of music.
For someone who’s in Japan 3 times a year and you cant speak japanese?
When *****s start lyin’ ya’ll cant just tell lil lies huh?
@6am,
How can I argue with a nicca that changes my screen name to do her big, what you wanna see the size of the dyck or how long I use it on her homie?
@6am,
I go to Puerto Rico once a year for vacation and can’t speak a lick of spanish either homie, I do what I do…:)
@6am,
See thats that emotion boiling out you…lol Wheres your fine bytch to keep your anger down homie…lol
@ Southerngirl,
I like san antonio, we got bored and flew to L.A. rented a car and drove across country, one of the places we stopped at was san antonio, the people were nice, we took that riverwalk cruise, and ate really good, I would never wanna move there, but I’d visit again.
Yeah I know – damn when I went there – but I am a woman- I hardly didn’t see no black folks – I guess things done changed since the last time I went to HI. I was just *****ed about them making me pay $7.00 for a damn Whopper with Cheese at BK.
Its only 9:30 here idiot, im at woirk typing on my personal comp if you werent such a liar you’d know that
@ candygirl,
Those Mcdonalds meals are $9.99 in waikiki now, *****’s get *****ed off when they come from the mainland and see that *****, but remember you can get rice at mickie d’s over here.
@6am your job doesnt involve the use of computers, why don’t you have a laptop, that cpu, montior, keyboard and mouse must be heavy, what kind of bag do you carry that shyt in homie?
Hey DoHerBig,
I used to date a girl in Japan so she was either over here or I was over there once a month, so to prove you arent a liar, what airport did you fly into, how long did it take you to reach the city and what company did you work for? Ive been to Japan about 40 times and I just turned 25.
Hey DoHerBig,

Racism is not right coming from anyone. I like him better than those dirty south rappers and they make the cover. We as a people should always guard against projected racism. We should not condone it nor should we act it out. When Obama wins, it is our opportunity to show the world that it’s only about equality and nothing else. Everyone should step up to the plate.
@ evil baby
“If all artists were measured on talent you know there wouldn’t be hardly any white singers reaching the final stages of American Idol.”
Replace “artists” with “students,” “talent” with “intelligence,” “white” with “black,” and “the final stages of American Idol” with “graduation.”
And that’s all I’m saying about that post…
@ DoHerBig,
Im an engineer *****boy, I work for BP and I have a masters from UH, I cant type this ***** on my company comp so I have my personal laptop right on my desk, now lets get back to why some *****boy deep south ***** like you is typing and answering every insult eventhough he says he wont, are you in love with me or just obsessed?

You can’t always expect people to be as color-blind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you.
———————-
Well put Mr. Thick….he spoke on the issue really well. It is racist and thats too bad there are double standards like that. I’ve never heard a white magazine say “we dont put black people on the cover” so blatently. That would be racist. so for them to say that no white people can be on the cover, thats racist.
_____________
OF ALL PUBLICATIONS, HOW THE ***** DO THEY GET OFF WHEN QUINCY JONES HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN WITH A BLACK WOMAN IN MY 29 YEARS OF LIFE AND HAS NO CHILDREN BY A BLACK OR HISPANIC WOMAN?????!!!!!!
PLEASE….SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!!!!!
Co-sign the above comment as well!!!! There is good and bad in all races!!!!
Thank GOD I don’t read VIBE!!!
____________
Nicca,
I aint trying to ***** you, you gets none of my personal info, if you one of them downlow niccas on here soliciting southern dyck on the low, I can’t do shyt for ya man. All I will say is it usually takes me about 45 – an hour to get to tokyo homie.

Its6amHoGetOut
Sorry I’m lame – I just got your web name – ha ha pretty funny – I’ll borrow that sometime. Yeah San Antonio is cool one of the better cities in Texas. Make sure you grab yourself a Whataburger next time.

YEs his wife is black…I believe its paula patton
__________
YES it is Paula Patton and HE is the one that supported HER while she got her career off the ground for the first 10 years of thier relationship!!!!
But….he IS a dog. He cheats and she knows it so she takes the attitude of “If you can’t beat em’ join’ em” and has 3 somes with em in order to not feel he’s cheating on her em SMDH!!!
It’s wild out here in the wild wild west and LA dudes are Scandalous because they can!!!!!
why is he namedropping mary J and Marley? this dude can’t even sing, he uses the tired old falsetto ***** that every white singer needs to make it in black music, get the ***** outta here.
Its6amHoGetOut
Shut up – rice at MickyD’s. No man,
Yep I went to Waikiki and saw that menu and flipped my wig. I can just imagine the prices over there now for BK if the meals at McDonalds are $9.99 – oh heck no. Well thanks for letting me know so when I go back over there next year I’ll bring a $20 instead of a $10.00 when I go to McDonalds or Burger King. One more question – the LV store- Louis Vuitton – when I went (back in the late 90’s) the lines were wrapped around the corner and down the block – is that still happening? SORRY TO GET OFF THE REAL SUBJECT AT HAND YAWL
There is such a thing called “reverse racism.”
If he is not big enough, why did they want an interview with him in the first place?
He could have opted to got the Pop route and reach a larger audience. It’s evident his p*****ion is neo-soul/R&B. And while he doesn’t appeal to all black people he has a substantial following within the black community especially the community that reads Vibe.
I have to give it to him. He did a great job in responding to the situation. You don’t see the a lot. There is one black artist that could learn a lot from his poise in this situation (no names but I’m sure you could guess who I’m talking about).
OK–
Maybe I missed the memo but–what in the gold wig wearin’ hell does Mary have to do with him not making the cover of vibe???????????
@ RoRo
no racism doesn’t come from all races of people it can but realistically it doesn’t …it comes from people with the power to enforce it, other wise it’s just prejudices and preferences… oh and fyi “genre” references types or cl*****es of people such as poor, rich, eman*****ted…. Katrina victims, etc. not specific races of people
Im back, I had to take a ***** ya’ll
FAW–
Izzit veally you?????????????
**adjusting my gl*****es**
“…and to know he has a thing for black women is VERY sexy lol.”

That’s cool, but just let a brutha say that about Kim Kardashian, and he’s the anti-christ. I’m just sayin’….
Anyhow, how long was it b4 Vogue put a black person on their cover? 40-something odd years? Then when they did, they had LeBron James looking like King Kong.
I agree that color shoudn’t matter, but Robin should speak on ALL of it.
OK. OK. NOW my name is correct!
Vocalyonce. That’s it!!!!!
@ Southerngirl,
These japanese, chinese and europeans come over here now because their money is so much better than ours, A Louis Vuitton purse in japan cost about $2,000, here is $1,200, they fly over here with damn near empty suitcases and leave with ***** galore!
Vibe just lost my $$ and I am a black man, but it’s time for a CHANGE! Obama 08′
@ DoHerBig,
It took you too long to look that up *****boy, it only takes 45-hour to get from one airport in japan, which one?
oh no.that is why he keepin that ugly hooker around to drop a white line like this? He “married” to a damn hoe off the curb doing pay time tricks. Doo doo hooker like that ain’t worth mentioning for no good reason cute white dude.
Can’t he take a better picture? I don’t like that one.maybe thats th reason? He loose his looks to the hooker in the house already?
He shouldnt be compairin himself to MARY J. anyway.
Be serious NOW cute white dude. We talkin MARY J. BLIGE! But if they put a suck ***** hoe like Alicia Keys on, you can be there 2—– but take a better picture so I can see yo pretty. Emmenim do real good for a white dude. I like that he real cute 2.I gonna start thinkin bout him again.
Dude has 1 or 2 good songs, but the rest of his music is wack sauce…
Im tired of arguing and insulting lyin’ ***** deep south *****boy *****s, some of you women talk nice to me please!
Deep down Im a really nice beautiful brotha!
Cant we all just get along? Obama needs us!
Bye all, be safe this weekend
I couldn’t agree with Ro Ro more…”Yeah I agree with Robin Thicke and I like the approach that he took.
It’s not about record sales its about respect and the love of music.”
Please. I have known Robin and Paula for years. Oh ***** That that is most dishonest, hateful thing to say. Robin is not a dog and believe you me Paula would not take that *****. He smokes weed, hell I do, and that’s it. It is amazing how people form their own fantasy world. I’m glad they ignore this bull***** and just live their lives. I guess if people can be stupid enough to think Obama is a terrorist, I guess it is only natural to have idiots to sprout ***** on the internet about people they don’t even know.
@ the promised 1
I love you! It seems like i make the same point everyday. So glad some of us have our eyes open!!!
@6am
Love a strong intelligent man. although you don’t really get the nice beautiful brotha from the ho get out, but hey when you have to go to work, that’s how it is sometimes. I work for BP also, wind n solar!!
***** vide cuz robin is dope
*vibe
Uhh could it be because you’re a *****ing *****ODY???? Maybe that’s why you’re not on the cover of VIBE. I think RT is cool and evrything,but Dude! You’re not a star! You’re “C”list at best. Be thankful that your parents are rich and your wife is hot and stop being a whiney lil bytch!
he is a big star…he has sold millions of records and he was even on oprah
Robin Thicke is a great singer. He is married to Paula Patton from the movie Deja Vu with Denzel. Anyways I think it’s sad that they don’t put artist on the cover because of talent. He deserves a spot. I just think we need to try and get over these color lines because at the end of the day we are all human beings and we all bleed the same red blood.
Hey Robin, forget those racist n!ggers! Bunch of hypocrites! Bigger racists than whites!
That’s bull. They put Justin Timberlake on the cover with the title, “Blue-eyed Soul”. Why not Robin Thicke….reverse racism.
Thank you @the promised 1
To those claiming blacks are more racist than whites, why don’t you pick up a damn book and read your history. There is no way in h-e-double hockey sticks blacks could be remotely as racist as SOME whites. Read a book instead of commenting on something you know nothing about. Read articles by Tim Wise (a white man) that breaks down white privilege and the likes and take that b.s. chatter somewhere else. You don’t know a thing about racism. Yes, people can be prejudiced. Get the f outta here w/that nonsense. Racism is ingrained in this country and throughout for centuries, so please why don’t you whining white folks just get over it.
Also, if you’re *****ing about Bossippers being racist, how about taking your ***** over to TMZ and reading other blogs and their racist comments about Obama/Michelle and black people in general and ***** at them.
This has been a public service announcement.
Mary J Blige had more that a few pop hits. Don’t underplay my girl please. Get your facts straight. Now a white person knows how it feels to be treated differently based on color. I think it is fine to only have black people ont he cover of Vibe. White people are on the cover of everything else.
It is not reverse racism. Really, there is no such thing. We are not in the position to oppress anybody so we cannot be racists in the extreme definition of the word. Prejudiced yes, but not racist. “Promised 1″ and “Word to the Wise” broke it down eloquantly enough so I don’t have to expand. Vibe’s past practice shows they HAVE put whites on the cover so Robin’s argument is baseless any way. They cater to the hip hop genre as opposed to neo soul regardless so rather he was Black or White he would not be a good choice for the cover. How many of their regular readers would he attracted to a cover story on him? Dudes music is OK…… it just sounds like he is telling you a secret in all of his songs….. always whispering.
What songs has Robin put out that hit number one? How many awards has he won? I;m sorry I;m having a hard time trying to figue out why he feels the need to be on the cover of VIBE.
Don’t sweat it, Thicke. Black people are so over.
Wasn’t Eminem on the cover of this magazine at one point?
Bossip why are you editing my posts about your white no singing god?? Censorship?? Or are you afraid of the truth???
This ***** Robin Thicke *****tin bricks!! ***** you ain’t hot. Ain’t no body runnin to get yo *****. You probably ranked number 11 or 12 as far as R & B singers go.
If he wasn’t white wouldn’t NO magazine have him on the cover.
Eminem, Gwen, Justin were all on the cover of Vibe, however, the editor that is there now is not the same one who had them on the cover.
Anyway, we got to do better. If he was screaming he was too good for Vibe, you would be up in arms over that. But here is a guy who loves his wife, his music and our culture and wants to be on the cover of our magazine for no other reason but that he loves it and we get an attitude. The man ain’t crying over this, he’s just stating a fact. He knows what his wife goes through so he can understand the hesitation to an extent. He never once said he was entitled to anything.
Obama is the Democratic Presidential nominee and we have a woman as a VP selection for the Republicans. It doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you are on, this is a great moment and time for our nation.
And honestly, if Obama wasn’t running for President, he wouldn’t be on the White folks mags either. Hell, he wouldn’t even been in most of our mags especially since he is a man with principle.
I don’t like this *****ed up ***** but have to admit his latest song Magic Touch is the *****. That breakdown toward the end with the congos was great. It was nice to hear some real instruments on a song besides all these old wack ***** drum machine over produced songs with rappers *****ing them up. R&B artist like Monica, Keisha, Usher and Mary can’t even do a song without some country ***** rapper destroying it.
He ain’t really say nothing wrong. Truth of the matter is Robin Thicke ain’t selling no Vibe Mags on the cover
What nicca is checking a Vibe mag for Robin Thicke. I like his music, the cd before this one was official. He got “soul”, Timberlake is fabricated “soul”
Listen to his music for a minute and watch how quick your woman loses her panties
if going off star status… perhaps he’s not big enough yet. I don’t know his stats, but I think Vibe would put anyone on the cover who will help them sell magazines.
Get over Robin. Its a black magazine so naturally they will put black people on the cover. STFU..
i am stopping to buy vibe magazine,until they put his picture on the cover.robin thicke iz black in my eyes.
so there!!!!!!!!!!!
Justin Timberlake can sing, dance and he is mad cute! Look at that sweet vanilla go! I also like Eminen but Chris Brown I can do without!
I REALLY DNT KNOW WAT TO SAY BOUT THIS…DID VIBE EVER HAVE A WHITE PERSON ON THEIR MAGAZINE??????
BEFORE???/
@ ksdn
you must be blind. Just b/c you sing black music and marry a black woman don’t make you black. I bet he can get a cab in NY no problem
Great, now I have another reason not to buy VIBE!!
@THE TRUTH
He is married to fine ***** Paula Patton, google her.
He shoulda offer the editor some of his wifes been there done that tore down schreaded wheat *****. He probably did and they got offended because of the smell. Keep smiling hoe!!!!!!
Personally,I don’t care for his music, so that issue wouldn’t make it to the register if I had something to do with it. I believe he wasn’t put on the cover bc he’s not as accomplished as others that have had the cover, not bc of his race. Hopefully his black wife-that he had to mention- will explain that to him. Give it time, make some hits, and you’ll get there.
cosign w/Blaq.
He’s not big enought to be on VIBE. Some people just don’t “get it” – like Barack said last night. Come on, Robin Thicke. Do you really think you’ve EARNED a VIBE cover? Every celebrity wants to be on the cover of some magazine. Stop asking and let the editors ask you!! That’s when you know you’ve really made it. Now LL Cool J could be on any cover!!Check out http://www.sony*****potlight.com.
“And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman…”
what nerve!!! and you’re married to a black woman and so what? talking about your wife like she’s some article on display in your house. Speaking of her like a charity case or like she’s some maid. Couldn’t you say “…because I live in a house with my wife?” And FYI, your wife is not black. She’s mixed, a mulatto.
HO SIT THE ***** DOWN!
LMAO, Affirmative Action for WHITE FOLKS
You’ve got white girls calling up Kay Slay so he can feature them in his magazine along with other black video vixens and now you have Robin Thicke.
I’m surprised that Vibe hasn’t granted the cover to white folks outside of Emimen. Robin is a great artist….but I don’t know what to think.
HOLLYWOOD BS
Paula Patton is black. Please stop with the antics. We all know in this country, since slavery, that we operate by the “One Drop Rule”. And since Paula is half black, and identifies herself as such (and is also treated and recognized as black), she is a black woman. This is why black people can’t get it together; because they’re always trying to divide rather than unite.
I agree he should not have thrown that little tidbit out in order to gain some sort of preferential treatment, but Paul Patton is by all means BLACK.
Who cares about how many hits he has? If he hasn’t had that many, it’s that exposure that will help him get where he wants to go. And I hope that they didn’t say that to him because that’s messed up. We’d raise all hell if someone said to a black artist, you can’t be feature in our magazine because you’re black. He’s a good, talented, and respected artist. He actually has good vocals and can play instruments. Most of these artists just go in studio and make beats which anyone can learn to do.
I think it’s good that he through his wife in there because, blacks are always trying to pull a race on whites (for instance the “n” word). He’s not looking for preferantial treatment, he’s just saying that if he is accepting of blacks..they should should be accepting as well. I don’t feel that as blacks we have the right to be ignorant and others don’t. It doesn’t work that way people.
LOL you *****in cracker *****ing a slow ***** yellow hooker didnt buy you enough credit to get on Vibe. Your ***** is corny anyway just like your ***** is corny I done seen that hooker in my hood lookin for some big black ***** She get around and stay giving crackhead *****s your money just so they can ***** her. ***** stink from so much ***** *****in

You’re are real ignorant. What you need to do is get off of these message boards. Especially if that’s how you get your point across. I guess ignorance begets ignorance. Stop the cycle.

Everything you need for a relaxing night is right here waiting.
this papa alright.He got all these beautiful Latinas in his videos with some creamed out pecan bodies they look mighty fine to me son. My girl like him and Im cool with that cause I get to watch them videos with the sexy latinas shaking they beautiful latin bodies. I got to say I think his wife is ugly. Her chin is messed up and they say she was a prostitute before.Not to say disrespect about a black lady I had some beautiful negras in my time before I got serious to my Latina queen but, I don’t like his girl she dont look right and is probably keepin him from success.
Why does he have be on this particular magazine? When you are a big enough star or when you are in STRONG demand, then they chase your fixers down to book you for a cover. HE needs to stay in the studio and earn the right to have a cover (e.g. like Mary J.) Mary J put her time in. She did the work. Folks need to stop thinking that they are entitled and we need to stop catering to them. There are to many other non minority magazines that he can front cover. Why didn’t he highjack them about being on the cover? He needs to go and stick People Magazine or OK Magazine up.
just say no, just say no to drugs
just say yes, just say yes to life
So what.
There was a time when no black person could go to the white people’s bathroom or drink from their water fountain. We still can’t play golf at many of the their country clubs. Just because Obama is going to be our next president doesn’t mean Robin can get the vibe cover. Get some hoses sprayed on you first. Have some dogs bite at your thighs. Have some of your relatives hung from trees. Try being forced to perform at venues where you and your kind couldn’t otherwise visit. Then come holla at me. Just ***** off and enjoy your beautiful black wife and ALL the other things being white allows you to do.
I love Robin Thicke…Vibe…y’all b*tches better stop hatin and put him on the cover …that is Blue-eyed Soul man number one….LOL
Ok he needs 2 go buy his own words. Like he said Mary J never gave up. And it shole didnt take 2 years for her to become a worldwide phenomenon. ROBIN SHUT UP WHILE YOU’RE AHEAD!!!!
yall let these white boys get ahead of themselves.
i’m baffled about his comments, mary j blige, only a few hits….stupidity
Why in the world did Pizza Hut call their new pasta Tuscani pasta when it tastes like Hamburger Helper?)

But why do I buy it errr chance I get?

@ Kenya–
R U still here?
this fool mention his wife like that ***** got him in straight up no questions. First of all everybody know that ***** is for rent wha big surprise? we all been done seen that old hoe crawling around the club scene beggin for *****s to ***** on her back while more *****s line up to ***** her 3 or 4 at a time. scratched up knees and what not. What you got at home nicca? somethin good? LOL damn fool.
You got that trash livin up in you *****e why don’t you just get a good solid doormat to wipe your dirty ***** on. Oh my bad then you couldnt drop a mention of a “black woman” just in time to promote your latest hit or miss record.
Robin Thicke brings sincere greatness to R&B and soul music. And he has loved and been devoted since high school to the black woman he’s married to. Eminiem is rap royalty but he did call his black ex-girlfriend the n-word on a demo. Vibe is all kinds of wrong excluding Robin Thicke from a cover especially if they can include Eminem.
HO SIT DOWN…
He is just lost with no clue.
and loosing his looks fast.
I Like Robin Thike as an artist, but If this is true I will lose respect for him. For him to even imply that VIBE would be racist towrds him is WRONG!!!
He’s just not poppin as of now, and as a reader of VIBE if I would have seen him on the cover my immidiate reaction would have been: “WTF?”
VIBE WOULDN’T PUT YOU ON THE COVER BECAUSE YOU SUCK AND SHOULD’VE NEVER BEEN A PERFORMER.
@ Nita…see I knew if I waited long enough, there was going to be someone validating Eminem to the letter. Must couldn’t recollect what was said as far as what came out of Marshall Mathers’ mouth not too long ago.
In addition, I, like many other well rounded women on this board would appreciate a man who presents himself as being rather refined moreso than trailer trash anyway who just got lucky anyway.
Random question from left field…
How did you guys get those freakin gravatr pictures???? I want mine to look cool too!
Ms. Toson…what did Eminem say recently?? tell me tell me!
I never took Paula Patton to be black…..EVER. She looks like a white women. And thats the God’s honest truth!
WHEN DO I GET MMMYY VIBE COVER??
That is so wrong I love Robin Thicke and he has every right to be on the cover vibe as any of the black artist, samething goes to racist white magazines that don’t like to put black ppl on the covers bc they claim they don’t sale.
Robin Thicke is not on the cover of Vibe because he sucks and he is ugly
I’m black and I think Vibe is flipping the script and NOT in a good way. Robin’s got soul and embodies what Vibe is supposed to be all about.
Not cool Vibe, not cool at all.
I like Robin Thicke. People need to realise there are racists in EVERY single race. Yes, some white people are racist towards blacks, but really, people need to accept that alot of black people are racist toward white people who didn’t do ***** to them. It’s a cycle … which needs to stop.

THE DARKSIDE OF INTERACIAL RELATIONSHIPS
Interracial relationships has been on the rise for years and years now, which most logically minded people would agree that it’s a good thing, it shows that as a society we’ve manage to grow and see beyond skin pigmentation like the other lower species on the animal kingdom hierarchy. Unfortunately, it is not the case.
Great deals of people who are involved in interracial relationships are themselves racist, who suffers from internalized racism, similar to a hate mongering separatist. Often, A lot of people in interracial relationship have an infatuation for the other races and perceive the other races as being some how better or even superior to their own, they don’t like the person that their with for the individual that he/she is but rather for the race to which the partner belongs to. For example a white woman who’s involved in such a relationship with a black men, she’s not with “Jerome” for who he is but likes him for his race and vice versa, which is no different from a Neo ***** who hates a person not for the individual he is but simply for his race. In both cir*****stances, no one sees the person for who they are but rather their race. As we’ve all learned, there’s a thin line between love and hate.
A recent interracial phenomenon is black women with white men, who is really nothing new, such pairing dates back since the cotton picking plantation days, but more recently it’s received a lot of attention curtsey of Oprah and Tyra Banks shows that did a segment on that topic. More and more black women are with white men, especially the “professional” black women who cries that there’s no good eligible black men, spitting out the same rhetoric that a Grand Dragon of the KKK would that “they’re in jail, most are homosexuals and most prefers white women” which is all a pile of horse manure, there’s good men and bad men in every race, such claims is used to justified their own racist sentiment and negative perception that they have toward black men and due to that they’re with other men, not because they love that individual but because they despise his black counterpart, these women are white supremacist in dark skin, they hold the same negative stereotype toward black men as that of a imperial wizard of the Klan and utters the same vile comments.
Often these flaccid relationships are base purely on a sick fetish and lust like the Spike Lee film states it’s “Jungle Fever”, evidence of that is the racist comment that we all are familiar with that both blacks and whites say “I’ll go out with a person of another race, but I’ll never marry a person of another race”, such comments can simply be stated as being *****ed up. Basically, that familiar comment means that “I can satisfy my animalistic urges with a person of another race, but I can never have a person of another race be the mother/father of my children.” One has to be a racist to hold such feelings or say such thing and too often we’ve all heard that comment being uttered and that notion has been the starting point for a lot of relationships, which is purely sick.
The worst thing is that people that are involved in interracial relationships for race sakes gives a bad name to all the good people that are with someone that they truly love and it comes out that person is of another race. The problem is not interracial relationships, it’s intra-racial racism”, because anyone who dates any race exclusively needs a shrink
HA! THIS IS FUNNY TO ME BECAUSE HE FELT THE NEED TO ASK THEM COULD HE BE ON THE COVER!LOL THAT GOES TO SHOW YOU RIGHT THERE HE’S LOOKING TO START SOME BULL SHYIT!
NO ONE ASKS TO BE ON THE COVER, THE MAGAZINE CHOOSES WHOM THEY WANT, SO EVEDENTLY THEY DIDN’T CHOOSE YOU FOR THE COVER MAN QUIT CRYING LIKE A DAMN 3 YEAR OLD! YOU KNOW HOW MANY OTHER ARTISTS IN YOUR SAME POSITION WITH MORE HIT SONGS HAVE YET TO MAKE THE COVER OF A MAGAZINE??
BEING MARRIED TO A SISTER DOES NOT GET YOU ON THE COVER OF A MAGAZINE DUDE! I HATE *****S LIKE THIS QUIT TRYING TO USE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE MARRIED TO A SISTER AS A MARKETING TOOL!
DO U KNOW HOW MANY AFRICAN AMERICANS HAVE NEVER OR VERY SELDOM GRACED THE COVER OF RESPECTED CAUCASIAN MAGAZINES???
GET THE ***** OUT OF HERE WITH THAT NON SENSE, I HAVE ABSOLUTELY “NO” RESPECT FOR THIS LAME NOW! SHE’S YOUR WOMAN NOT YOUR CASH COW, U FRUAD A$$ SIMPLETON!
If someone at Vibe told him he can’t have the cover because he’s white then they were obviously pulling his leg. Eminem is not the only white person to have graced the cover of Vibe. It may be a case of reverse discrimination, but not in the way he thinks. Just like black folks have to work harder than whites to reach the same goal in corporate America, whites have to be huge to get the cover of Vibe. A black person can get the cover of Vibe as long as they have a pretty huge hit at the time of the cover or they are just currently hott in general with no regard to actual record sales. Black folks get the cover simply because they have an album coming out. A white person has to be a multi platinum artist to get it. Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aquillara (she’s damn sure closer to white than black and maybe the whitest latina on the planet) have all been on the cover. So I think ole Robin needs a mega hit to get the cover because he is white. Not that he’ll never get it because he is white.
Well if that’s what they really told him, that was incredibly trifling of them. But Robin Thicke doesn’t deserve the Vibe cover. I thought you actually had to do something to get that.
Re: THE DARKSIDE OF INTERACIAL RELATIONSHIPS
Ice T and Coco. Does it get any darker than that? Enough said!
Asking for the cover – Every artist and PR rep is always asking how they can get on the cover. This is nothing new or out of the ordinary.
Vibe is just plain wrong on this one. Now they’ll go out and put CoCo and Ice T on the cover to put an end to all this negative press. Ha!
Re: THE DARKSIDE OF INTERRACIAL RELATIONSHIPS
I forgot about Sug Night and his girlfriend of 3 years and Jermaine Jackson and his ex-wife who was his brother’s baby-mama.
Seriously, the piece about the darkside of interracial relationships was flawed at best. Black men have long chased and married white women the minute their pockets got fat, e.g. Kobe Bryant,Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pipen, etc.. Now that black women are following the brothas’ lead, interracial dating has a darkside.
Why don’t we just let people love and marry whom they like and stop trying to maintain a double-standard for black women?
I saw Robin Thicke in concert and it was a horrible show. He can’t sing and he can’t dance. It was embar*****ing and to top it all off, we waited for almost two hours to see his stank *****. He deserves the cover of no magazine, especially considering his biggest hit sounds like he ripped off Maxwell at best. Oh, and about that black wife-I could care less who he’s married to. Talent is talent, and he just isn’t in the same league as most of the entertainers who have been on the cover of Vibe magazine. Keep trying, Mr. Thicke. I know your reading cause you don’t have too much else going on right about now!
somebody made a comment that white magazines dont say we dont put black people on magazines. well they dont have to, they jus do it. thats why we have predominitly black magazines so that we can have an opportunity to be on magazine covers. but i do like robin thick though. he touched on some things. but us black people have such a struggle with so many things. he would never understaand.
WTF! R SERIOUS WITH THIS. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN? THIS IS ABSOLUTE RACISM. YOU KNOW DAMN WELL IF THE TABLES WERE REVERSED ALL HELL WOULD BREAK LOOSE. WAKE THE ***** UP AND REALIZE THAT WE ARE NO LONGER THE VICTIMS WE ARE THE CONTRIBUTORS AND IN SOME CASES, ACTUALLY MOST CASES THE MOST RACIST ONES.
I am harding a time believing that Vibe told him that is why he was not put on the cover. It had to be a joke. I mean when was the last time you heard anything from him? His wife should slap him for using her race as an excuse to be on the cover. Plus, they had Eminem and Gwen Stefani on the cover but then again, they are very big stars and he is not.
What a *****ing *****hole! He is Timerlake/Elvis light! Singing black music, getting paid and then biting the hand that feeds him.
I have some questions?
Why can’t Barack be a great politician instead of a good, black politician without experience?
Why doesn’t Sam Jackson have an Oscar, especially as Gator in Jungle Fever?
Why doesn’t Spike Lee have an Oscar?
How is it most companies in America that sell to blacks (15% of the population, 33% of consumer dollars) employ about 2-3% of blacks in corporate positions?
Why are there fewer black head football coaches in D-1 football than in the NFL?
How many times has the Roots or Jill Scott or Mos Def been on the Rolling Stone cover?
For a white man to call racisim is sad, stupid and a joke. He can be a white, Frank Sinatra knock-off tomorrow and be a mainstream artist. Look at that punk Timberlake….when he and Janet got caught up in “*****y-gate”, JT became the whitest guy in the world. When Janet took all the heat, he could become “black” again.
*****HOLES!
If that’s Actually what VIBE told him, tough luck I guess.
Robin Thicke could so get it!
somebody p***** me that fiddle
are we forgetting that mariah carey,britney spears,jlo,pink,etc.. have all been on the vibe cover in the last p***** years anyways maybe he wasnt saying it like that and as i recalled wasnt biossip up here posting stuff about how usweekly,intouch dosent offer black people cover that much so thats like the pot calling the kitter black
PINK, DENIRO, GWEN STEFANI, EMINEM, B SPEARS, JLO AND MORE WHITES HAVE BEEN ON VIBES COVER.
MR THICKE YOU HAVE ONE HIT..HENCE No COVEr.
IT DOES AMAZE ME ALL THE BLACK WOMEN DEFE4NDING HIS AKWARD *****….
FASHION MAGAZINES ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THAT, BUT TO MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT IS IGNORANT ..MR THICKE YOUR IGNORANT.
I don’t get how some of you act like racism only happens to black people! Thats not what the word means. Racism happens to all people of all cultures, backgrounds, and even celebrities.
YES, Vibe was wrong for that because Robin Thicke is a successful artist, not the most successful in the world but his last album sold more than Usher’s most recent I’m sure. Vibe, one of the black community’s most looked upon mags talks about the wrongs of rasicm but yet dished it out! Black people don’t want to be called the n word and stuff like that but want to treat other people beneath them just because of the past.
his wife is only touting that she’s black cuz’ she wants to be the next halle berry.
FAT CHANCE…..she can’t even act.
He’s not interesting nor talented enough to warrant Vibe’s cover and this coming from someone who hasn’t even read vibe since the 90’s!
Racism! Puhleeze him and his wife trying to pimp her slice of blackness to the hilt, meanwhile neither has enough talent to barely warrant the attention that they’ve already acheived.
Agree with memchee he wouldn’t sell the magazine if he was on the cover, he doesn’t even sell records, has he even gone gold??? There is also something very HOW U DOIN?? about Mr. Thicke mmmmm
1. Why doesn’t he explain that he’s actually MARRIED to a black woman. 2. He’s just not that popular with Vibe’s hip hop audience. Sorry dude. You’re not famous enough yet.
EMINEM WAS ON THE COVER OF VIBE. HE’S WHITE. HE’S ALSO POPULAR, LOSER. I’m a black woman who liked robin thicke until he said this stupid nonsense.
This is sad! they apparently are not keep track of the way the world is changing. This is 2008 and we ae people need to realize that if we continue with what is real and still exsist in the world “Racism” it will never change. I don’t know if editors at VIBE are black or white. But they really need to realize this world will only change when we realize everyone matters and should always get a chance….They are WRONG for real!!!!! Love ya ROBIN
WTF he is way out of pocket.
1. Robin Thicke wouldn’t have a record deal if he were black. Give a black man the exact same voice and songs and he would be singing lead in somebodies church. Don’t believe me? Go to any church in any metropolitan city and you will find at least 3 better voices than Robin Thickes unfortunately they’ll be coming from a black body.
2. Robin Thicke is not popular enough to be on a vibe cover. Covers sell magazines what Vibe reader would see Robin Thicke and say “oooh I gotta get that!”
3. With all the rich boy nepotism he’s been priviledged enough to recieve he should just shut up and be thankful *****ody notices he’s either mimmicking or mocking black artists.
GTFOH
Dag y’all tearing this white dude up! So what’s it gonna be? No more love for it? yall ain’t gonna let him grow to be a pop icon for the black community? He do look upsetting lately maybe hes catching on that his girl hoe skank hooker status is affecting his image negatively within the celebrity insider crowd and beyond.
Because dont *****ody like her now he feelin the heat and instead of having a black hoe on his payroll that will help his image it is damaging his reputation more and more each time. He must not know that black people can’t get fooled so easy by undercover hookers. Too many good Baptists that can see a hooker coming from a mile away dont matter that she got a big smile or that she got some jewlery on loan from the ***** shop or elsewhere somewhere bigger or even that she stand up next to white folks WE SMART ENOUGH TO SEE THAT SHE IS JUST A HOOKER DONE UP AND GLOSSED OVER and that is no good for *****ody not even you you cute white dude Robin Thicke.
he’s playing the card= I’m white+MODEST talent=Spectacular. They aint in thes game for theyre health-Vibe put big people on the cover to sell get numbers. Until then, he might be likeable like Tom Cruise but with No isht to back up his mouth. If Cruise wanted to be on the cover of Vibe, they’ll make it work, look right. Thicke, be a white boy with sense, talk real about the cash angle.
“I won’t use the word racism- it’s a tough fight”
Dumb*****!
A tough fight for a hippy singer turned Justin Timberlake clone, product of nepotism to claim his percieved birth right to the cover of a black magazine!?
What does he say when People magazine doesn’t put him on the cover? Are they racist against white people too? or my bad- tough? How the hell does he figure he is automatically popular or important enough to the black community to warrant cover artist status.
I see this with a lot of white men who date black women they not only feel as if they are honorary members of the black community but that they are the creme de le creme. Why would he be on the cover before Usher, The Dream, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, J Holliday, Ray-J, Mario etc I could go on. If he’s looking for a racist he needs to look in the mirror- he seems to think he is the king of black people and the fact that he thought so highly of a lowly black woman should move all of us to worship and adore him even before and certainly above and beyond the adulation we give our own artist! SMH
you guys talk alot of *****
Sounds false to me.
I have close friends at VIBE, and they all say it’s bs.
FYI – is Mariah Carey white? She’s been on the cover of VIBE…
@tj
I agree w/ you 100%
This really makes me hate him. I am stil thinking about this!
Maybe it’s cause I hate the editor of this magazine with a p*****ion.
But really what the ***** does your black woman have to do with anything and how would she know anything about how black people feel? When’s the last time she spoke to one. And even if she has did she speak to all 30 million of us because that’s the only way to be sure we all are okat with “what it is” whatever exactly it is Dumb*****!
And HOW DARE YOU compare yourself to Bob Marley and Mary J Blige. His talents are restrained at best some might even say imaginary. He can’t even think about approaching Mary and Bob Marley either in scope, or appeal. If he knows so much about black people from his (sorta sometimes) black wife then he should know better than to so rudely breathe his name in the same breath as two icons of our culture. He would never compare himself to Elvis or the Beatles. This some old bullish.
You better go host a game show and stick to what your family knows.
@tj
wow you are on a roll…. Hahaha You are speaking the truth though.
Tj
Has anyone ever told you that you have a striking resemblance to the adult film star Marie Luv? The only difference is you *****ounced receding hairline. Too many lace-fronts, perhaps?
I don’t like this artist, really, but reading some of the comments, i would just emphasize that you either are against racism or you aren’t. You can’t have double standards like Vibe not putting whites on the cover and say, well, that’s okay, but then be outraged if Rolling Stone didn’t do the same thing. That is called HYPOCRISY, and it is unvarnished hypocrisy. Grow up.

I bet they’d put kim kardashian’s white ***** on there. Or any other white woman.
I wish I could have a stronger opinion about this …but truth is I dont really give a damn..I got nothing..in fact Im yawning right now BOOO Bossip, ive seen more compelling material on the back of a cough syrup bottle…next->
Mariah Carey did the cover of VIBE as well.
I’m sorry i just don’t believe that they told him some blatant racial crap like that, maybe he’s just twisting thier words out of spite because he didn’t make the cover. They also offered to do an interview with Kimora Simmons they said that KLS is not “hip-hop”, but her pr guy was like her fashion is hip hop and she got the cover. she fought for the cover, maybe he should have been more diligent.
HOLLY BERRY IS MIX WITH BLACK AND WHITE SO STOP CALLING HER BLACK

Uh i’ve noticed that you have a hard-on for my girl, Paula, and i also *****ume that you’re the person who shows up everytime there’s a post relating to Paula, you infer that she’s a prostitute – Why is that? Did she still me from you. Were you at one time fixated on me from afar only to have your hopes and dreams of spending your life with me torn asunder? Get over it, move on. All this irrational hate is toxic and counter-productive. All the time you spent creating that my*****e link with the sole purpose of disparaging my wifes character and reputation borders on the psychotic. I realize that Paula is a public figure and obsessive fans comes with the territory, but there are limits, and you’ve crossed it. Please for you own mental health, seek some counseling.
Bossip y’all suck!!! Bossip edits posts critical of their white god Thicke. ***** Bossip,and their master Thicke.
Pat Boone
Aww ***** why don’t you go and do some more whitewash remakes of Little Richard songs for the bible-belt sect.
Go robin go
CAN WE GET A NEW POST BOSSIP???? HOW ABOUT A POST RELATING TO SPORTS SINCE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTED. GO CRIMSON TIDE, WE DESTROYED CLEMSON EARLIER!!!
sorry about the caps, i wanted to emphasize my point
What he said is true. Vibe changed editors a couple of years ago and there was a controversy because Christina Aguilera was promised a cover and the new editor backed out of the agreement and put her inside the magazine and refused to do the cover. I remember at the time that the editor was on television trying to defend the decision and that Christina’s management and record label were *****ed. She really had no other reason except that Christina wasn’t black. Vibe was and is wrong for pulling some bs like this in 2008. And we shouldn’t be *****ing about racism and discrimination and turn around and justify when we do it. We’re better than that.
Why does the onus of “BEING BETTER THAN THAT” always fall on black folks? No one takes white magazine publishers to task when they don’t give a cover to black celebrities. People Magazine and others are guilty of the same thing. Sometimes you have to forgo the Sydney Portier GOOD NEGRO routine and say “F*&K WHAT’S RIGHT”.
damn, thats messed up because Robin Thicke`s a good artist.
but what black women is he livin with?
his wife is that ldy from Mirrors [from what i`ve heard].
- confused. lol
boo hoo.many men and women of colour who are models, actors or singers have problems getting onto the front cover of a mainstream magazines. Anyway it is probably because of his skin colour that he coulden’t get on the colour of vibe also. certain magazines only churn out certain images because they want to appeal to their main audience. magazines can be too safe though. i don’t think most white women would be offended to see gabriel union on the cover of cosmo. i also think that black people would still but vibe evan with robin thicke on the cover.
also he isen’t as big as eminem, maybe that is also why he didn’t make the cover.
Why should his no-talent one hit wonder can’t sing ***** be on there? So if Jay Z isn’t on the cover of Time thats racism? GTFOOH
1) not true, as others have pointed out, there have been other whiteys on the cover, including Robert DeNiro
2) he CAN sing. both of his albums are very good
3) I would actually buy an issue of that wack ***** magazine if Robin Thicke was on the cover. otherwise, that ***** is lame and no one reads it
4) there’s no such thing as “reverse” racism, b/c racism is racism
5) Christina Milian IS black. Look at her. Many people considered Latino/-a are black because they have all kinda African up in there. That makes them black, just like it makes us black
Robin Thicke: “Vibe Wouldn’t Put Me On the Cover Because I’m White”
Because here black the community, and white people here should not be!!!!!!
Impudent white, everywhere wish to be!!!!!
He sucks *****
lets wait for the next album

I believe anyone should be with the person they chose but I despise it when some white person thinks laying up with a random black person gives them a PHD in what black folks think
By the way white bread, I ain’t a fan, just a brother among many more brothers doing they time, who respect they Black and the African Queens who bring forth our children enough to call a spade a spade, and that is Word. Just killin some time homey, just like you. What you ain’t got nothin better to do than read this ***** here? cause I don’t. All that other talk wsn’t me but when you roll like that ***** be rollin, my brother, people talk all the way from here to kingston and back again. Thanks for the advice but it is irrelevant at this time. What I will take in the place of that is a good looking out Black and a G for my stash. How about it? I got your back, you got mine?
After JFK,Jr., he is a sexy white boy. I am not into white boys, but he is so sexy. I love his music. Maybe one day he will be popular enough to make the cover. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. As far as cheating, if he is that’s between he & Paula. Does your man/woman cheat? The majority do until they realize the best thing for them is at home & not in the streets. Dogs want pu$$y & *****e$ want money.
THIS MANS MUSIC IS HOTT AND SOULFUL IF YOU HAVENT HEARD IT YOU NEED TO TAKE A LISTEN THEN JUDGE HIM I RESPECT HIM AND WHAT HE HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE INCIDENT LIKE HE SAID HE LIVES IN A HOUSE WITH A BLACK WOMAN AND I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE THAT HE CAN RELATE TO HER ON THAT LEVEL AND UNDERSTAND AND NOT BE MAD ABOUT IT THOUGH ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT HE COULDNT GET THE COVER CAUSE HE SOUNDS GREAT LOVE HIS MUSIC.
was that comment by Robin Thicke at 11:55 pm actually by Robin Thicke? Naw that would be funny do he even really care about that ugly stupid***** video hooker? the only people who do would be prisoners and crackheads_right up her alley anyway that *****in ugly***** crackhead hooka and only because they already had her begging on her hands and knees for ***** and crack viles in PJ hallways and so now since they got some time on they hands lockdown .What he think that bich is a star or some*****? Someone get a waaambulance for Robin Thicke.
Wanna whine? There is always Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, etc. Lots of magazines that put white people on the cover but don’t bat an eyelash at black folk unless it’s in a stereotypical context.
Seriously, white privilege isn’t going to work ALL the damn time for you. You’ve only had one song, Robin. Sit down.
The man has a few hits and thinks he deserves the Vibe Cover? LMAO! You need to sell a few million more. Just because your wife is black and you’re trying to sing R&B doesn’t give you a p*****. You’ve got to work for it like everyone else. Vibe isn’t racist, but they’re not stupid either. At the end of the day it’s about sales. If your album isn’t selling like hotcakes, neither will their magazine with you on the cover. NO FREE P*****ES!
Robin you have a girl’s name. You sound like a crybay. Your voice is forgettable. Your only famous because of your dad and because your a white boy immitating blacks.

People of color cannot be racists. Racism is an ism, just like many others where POWER is the source of control. Since whites hold societal/cultural power people of color cannot be racists. You have to have the power to do that. With that said. Robin Thicke is a whining priveldged white man (his father is tv star Allen Thicke). It seems like he has made an effort to understand race, by his comments. But as soon as you take away thier (his) privledge (His right to be on the cover of a magazine). He does what most whites do, *****erts his power by claming “reverse racism”, which is quite possibly the most idiotic phrase ever coined, and claims his been discriminated against. It makes me wonder if he really respects black music to think just because he sings black music he’s owed a cover. This is an industry, Vibe is a business. Be a business man and figure out how to sell some records by innovative and getting a wider appeal (which is why some of these whacker hip hop artist get the covers hip-hop has a wider appeal/moves more units than his “neo-soul” style rnb). Not by insulting your fans and mentors by claiming “reverce racism.” Guess black folks really can’t have *****…except maybe the cover of Vibe!
Please read about european colonization. Anywhere it’s taken placed you will find “uppity n*ggers” and thats word wide.
All you have to do is look at the Internet to see what 8 years of Bush has done to the youth of America who grew up with terrible educations since the beginning of his administration. So happy the dumbing down of American culture will soon change. All this ignorance is unacceptable and will be noted in our culture as such while we shift away from embracing ignorance. Tick tock tick tock. Scared?
…..”People of color cannot be racists. Racism is an ism, just like many others where POWER is the source of control. Since whites hold societal/cultural power people of color cannot be racists. You have to have the power to do that”.
READ THE CAPS….IM NOT THE IGNORANT ONE…….retard
Racism

Racism, by its simplest definition, is discrimination based on the racial groups to which people belong. People with racist beliefs might hate certain groups of people according to their racial groups. In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or get preferential treatment. Racism typically points out taxonomic differences between different groups of people, EVEN THOUGH ANYBODY can be RACIALISED, independently of their somatic differences. According to the United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination.
Retard? Way to discriminate against those with mental delay.
I reiterate.
Institutionalized racism in the U.S and other eurocolonized nations benefit whites. Your point holds no standing and your pure hate,anger and ignorance amuses me.
In this argument, Thicke is wrong. Your enraged reaction to him being “discriminated against” is wrong.
Your understanding of race needs some soul searching not regurgitation of definitions given by white westernized writers.
And your insidious citation of Wikipedia is just plain hilarious.
You won’t get any enlightenment by name calling. Just ask Mcsame supporters come November.
Can’t he just buy the cover spot of Vibe if he want it so bad? Money talks right? Know the right people and put yourself there sparky or talk to your man and make the arrangements winky wink.
do you even understand what your writing…sounds like you just picked up a thesauraus and started filling in words. and i tend to call mentally challeged people mentally challenged people…and call retards..retards. Retard. and just to clarify …im not hateful or angry. none of what your saying makes any dam sense regardless. and my… “enraged reaction to him being “discriminated against”..?? just proves your a *****ing retard..cus i never once said he was being discriminated against nor made it a point to. i could give a ***** less if he made the cover of a BLACK magazine …or didnt…that doesnt mean ***** to me…but i did attend to point out that there are a whoooole bunch of ignorant..lazy…and downright RASCIST BLACK AMERICANS in this country! thanks *****et
I don’t buy it. I think he was bitter that he didn’t get the Vibe cover because he simply isn’t famous enough. There have been White celebrities on the cover before (hell, Robert De Niro was just on it with 50 too long ago) like Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, etc. Notice that those names are A-list though. It has more to do with name recognition than your race, I think he’s being *****umptions. What is going to sell more covers, Ciara or Robin Thicke?
That said: Jon B & Robin Thicke >>>>>>>> Justin Timberlake.
>>>>>>>> = light years.
He needz to sit him self dwn and be thankfull for what he has got instead of whining damn !
***** these white ppl how could the cry wolf, look how many white magazines put black ppl on thier covers and get back to me thats some bull*****, he thinks he all of a sudden deserves to be on vibe because he has a black wife? come on now if theres a white singer that deserves to be on vibe its jon b. get to his level robin, then mayb they might give your cracker ***** a shot.
