I don’t buy it. I think he was bitter that he didn’t get the Vibe cover because he simply isn’t famous enough. There have been White celebrities on the cover before (hell, Robert De Niro was just on it with 50 too long ago) like Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, etc. Notice that those names are A-list though. It has more to do with name recognition than your race, I think he’s being *****umptions. What is going to sell more covers, Ciara or Robin Thicke?

It seems like he has made an effort to understand race, by his comments. But as soon as you take away thier (his) privledge (His right to be on the cover of a magazine). He does what most whites do, *****erts his power by claming “reverse racism”, which is quite possibly the most idiotic phrase ever coined, and claims his been discriminated against. It makes me wonder if he really respects black music to think just because he sings black music he’s owed a cover. This is an industry, Vibe is a business. Be a business man and figure out how to sell some records by innovative and getting a wider appeal (which is why some of these whacker hip hop artist get the covers hip-hop has a wider appeal/moves more units than his “neo-soul” style rnb). Not by insulting your fans and mentors by claiming “reverce racism.” Guess black folks really can’t have *****…except maybe the cover of Vibe!
