Ho Sit Down

Posted by Bossip Staff

Does any of the old heads out there remember Dan Quayle, the lightweight who couldn’t spell potato? Well, that’s what political geeks around the web are calling that Shady McCain’s VP pick. When Palin was asked about the VP spot recently, she said the following:

But as for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does everyday? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.

It looks more like he was thinking about tapping that or exploiting the Hillary/Obama beef more than finding the best person for the country.

“Does any of the old heads out there remember Dan Quayle, the lightweight who couldn’t spell potato? Well, that’s what political geeks around the web are calling that Shady McCain’s VP pick.”

Dang!! Now y didn’t I make that comparison?

  6. Mrs. D'angelo

I can’t believe he is trying to play on the Hillary supporters what a dirt doppler he is ugh!

  7. Aziajs

    1. I agree, Justmoi, his choice is very transparent.

    2. I’m with her. What does the VP do? Nothing. If she is being honest she could probably accomplish more in her current position than being a token for McCain to exploit.

  8. HF

My question is a simple 1:

If a MAN had Palin’s political resume, would Jur*****ic John have picked HIM 2 b his running mate?

    Let that simmer 4 a min…

  9. versace

Why is she is a Ho, bossip? She is a Governor. This woman did work hard to be a governor of the United States. What is your political status. YOu are so *****ing disrespectful!

  10. jj

Obama can suck face with Biden’s wife, no prob. McCain chooses a female VP and he’s f-ing her? Yeah, that makes ALOT of sense. Morons

  11. Just Sayin

    He likes em young…

they will have sex if they have not already

  14. Okay Im kinda confused…how can McCain pick a female candidate when he needs to get support from Conservative Republicans…also, his VP is not guaranteed to clench the “Hilary” vote…is this not a conundrum?

  15. HF

    Lady Shady

they will have sex if they have not already

  18. HF

    @ Nikki

Ostensibly he picked her because she’s a pro-life supporting, gun-toting, god-fearing, life-long member of the NRA who loves her country unquestionably.

Realistically, he desperately needed 2 court bitter Hillary supporters -even if it meant throwing his strongest argument against Obama under the bus -because he knows he’s going 2 otherwise lose.

I kinda expected this 2 b honest with u. Here’s another prediction: the McSame camp has 1 more card 2 play in desperation… the race-baiting card.

    Don’t think it won’t happen… just watch.

  19. Blk James Bond

Don’t front…this was smart. The silent majority will be in full effect on Nov. 4th. Damn…

  22. HF….

Would that involve promising a black Cabinet or a homosexual Secretary of State?

  23. Jaye

As a woman I am truly insulted by McCain’s VP selection. Women everywhere especially Hillary supporters should be OUTRAGED! McCain had FAR better candidates to choose from! As a woman I would LOVE to see another woman sworn in as President or VP… but not like this! The woman is a shameful token for the Republican Party’s political machine. And anyone who can’t see through this BLEEP’in sham of “change” should have their voting rights REVOKED for being mentally challenged!

    I am disgusted!

  24. My son's parole officer said it's gonna be alright!

WOOOOOOOOOOW. OBAMA SHOULD USE HER STATEMENT IN HIS COMMECIAL. LOL.

  25. Sydney

I’m still a little incoherent from my late night (the Obama speech was phenomenal, just phenomenal, and it’s getting rave reviews). I’m going to start first with this, which I’m re-posting from another blog:

“‘With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he’s been a governor for three years, he’s been able but undistinguished. I don’t think people could really name a big, important thing that he’s done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America. And again, with all due respect to Richmond, Virginia, it’s smaller than Chula Vista, California; Aurora, Colorado; Mesa or Gilbert, Arizona; north Las Vegas or Henderson, Nevada. It’s not a big town.’

–Karl Rove, August 10, ‘Face the Nation’

Tim Kaine’s service as governor: three years

Sarah Palin’s service as governor: twenty months

    Population, Richmond, VA: 200,123

    Population, Wasilla, AK: 9,780″

  26. Grippa

McInsane picks a woman who was mayor of a town of 8000 and less than 2 years as Governor of Alaska with 700 thousand people. She is an NRA member, hunter, fisherwoman, pro-life, pro-oil companies, under investigation for corruption,no experience on the federal stage. WTF !!! McInsane is truly senile.

    Picture him winning the presidency.

McInsane wins this election ,starts a war with Russia and Iran while V.P. Palin is fascinated by all the fancy cars in the big city.

    Obama/Biden 08 or DIE !!!

  27. Shavon Denise

LOL!! OMG their backs are really agaisnt the wall and its obvious that they are willing to do anything to win. All the reporters last night said that this woman was not any where near qualified like the other candidates. If people fall for this! If those people who are for Hillary vote for McCain is now solidified because of this VP pick, than its nothing BUT a race thing.

  28. Sydney

Then let’s review some details about Gov. Palin. First, she happens to be under an ethics investigation in Alaska. Then there’s the little matter of her lack of experience, which becomes a major matter when you consider McCain’s age (he turns 72 today) and his health. Is a woman who is a first-term governor and was the major of a small Alaskan town really qualified to be president of this nation?

Even Texas Gov. Kay Bailey Hutchison, a prominent Republican, admitted to CNN that she knows little about Palin. This choice is a smack in the face to those who admire and respect Hillary and others like her who champion the causes of women.

More about the ethics probe: “An issue for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin that is already drawing attention in the opening moments of her debut as the Republican vice presidential pick is an ongoing state ethics probe that was launched just a few weeks ago. An independent investigator appointed by a panel of state legislators earlier this month is looking into whether Mrs. Palin dismissed a top law enforcement official in her administration because he failed to fire a state trooper, Mike Wooten, who went through a messy divorce with Mrs. Palin’s sister. The investigation follows on the heels of Mrs. Palin’s abrupt decision in mid-July to dismiss Walt Monegan, her Public Safety Commissioner. Mrs. Palin said she wanted to take the department in a different direction, but questions emerged after Mr. Monegan said he felt pressured to fire Mr. Wooten.”

  29. i am sorry to say this does not look good.

the conservatives that hate mccain now have an easy reason to vote for him. the fact that Barack did not choose a woman (or Richardson, the LatinAmerican choice) gave mccain an easy choice here.

She got real conservative street cred, and she’s a former beauty queen. That corruption case? wait till u hear the details. She tried to get her ex bro-in-law fired after he tasered his own 11 yo son. and he was only susupended-still working (a cop)

and she’s a former beauty queen oh wait alread said that.

last nights speech gave me a little hope (i’ve had a bed feeling for a while now) but now? shiiiiiiit….

Whats up NIKKI U have a great weekend! I’m cutting down on the posting time to make that cheeese!

  30. tscombo

It was a smart move, seriously. She is very conservative and republicans that weren’t supportive of McCain will like this alot. She is a succesful woman, married, 5 kids (one going to Iraq), and an outsider of Washington. Not to mention being easy on the eyes and few years younger than Obama. It’s completely out of left field.

If the other side keeps calling her a ‘ho’ it won’t help get the female vote.

  31. ugottalisen

You do realize 2012 is almost upon us, right? The end of the world and all that. Just happens to be an election year too. Think about it… LOL. But seriously she’s really hot looking if that is her. She might even sway some young voters to vote Republican just to see that piece of ***** on the news all day.

  32. BadNewsBrown…

Im not mad at that Pepper Jack boy…have a good one :)

  33. Jay

Unfortunately, it was shrewd. It is a direct rebuttal to Obama’s claim that a McCain administration will be a third Bush term. He (McCain) clearly has a lot of guts.

Let’s see how she stands up over the next 60 days.

And no, calling her a “ho” is not in the spirit of the Obama candidacy.

  34. me

Funny how barack is now bringing up her experience.. like the pot calling the kettle black.. no that’s not meant to offend..

Her 730 days leading an actual state is a bunch more than barry’s 177 days doing nothing, especially voting, in the senate. She is more qualified than barry to be president.

  35. Certain

Hmmm. Seems McCain thought Hilary was going to get the nod and this was his counter. But I tell you, I think this my hurt the Dems. I mean, there are going to be a lot of women that were upset about the whole primary race and then upset that Hilary didn’t get the VP nod. I guess I should say it could be detrimental. I don’t know if the people that were upset about Hilary not getting the nod will be upset enough to vote for the Republican ticket.

  36. nicaw

I’m not going to discount her political record. Evidently she has a strong following in Alaska and that’s great. It’s a smart and very strategic move for the Republican party to sway the votes of Hillary Clinton supporters who are on the fence.

Plus the Republicans needed to set a precedence in history as well. She is the first woman on the Republican national ticket.

  37. Sydney

The decision may play well with conservatives, and even with some Clinton supporters who want to see a woman have a shot at the White House, but for anyone who takes the causes of women seriously, reproductive rights being among them, it’s a slap in the face. Dee Dee Myers called Palin the “Double-X Dan Quayle” in a commentary today on vanityfair(dot)com.

She may be “hot,” but can she be president?

McCain wanted to steal the thunder from Obama and make history himself, but I hope people will see through this as a deliberate ploy to pander to women voters, and not a very good one at that. There are much more impressive Republican women whom McCain could have picked.

This is from Catherine A. (Kiki) McLean, Senior adviser to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and a prin*****l with the Dewey Square Group: “Women don’t vote for women because they are women. Women have high expectations — and have always had to meet them. The McCain campaign should not *****ume that adding Sarah Palin to its ticket will attract female voters in margins large enough to turn the Obama tide. In fact, this choice might be yet another example that he is out of touch.”

  38. MM

Forget the real reason why he picked her. I am taking Bossip off my favorite sites because as much as I like the pictures and gossip you have here, calling her a H* was an absolutely stupid and ignorant move that crossed a line. Too bad you weren’t nominated VP.

  39. NEWbagNcoupe

Well I been in the White chat rooms all morning and the Democarts see Brack winning for real by a land slide after this news . The very few Hiliary supporters that were in the Chat room., said off the back that MCcain moved pushed them more to vote Barck. They see McCAIN MOVE AS A insult to Hiliary in some many ways. People is taking into considerations that if Mccain gets sick we are leaving our country in the hands of a 1yr experience Governer !! I see this as a gain for Barack ! People want Hiliary not a knock-off-verison. Not to add Biden is going to take it too her during the live Debate. She has nothing to go off! Also if you seen her speech this morning she looks very nervous about something I just couldn’t put my finger on it!She knows she isn’t ready for that tyoe of position !!

  40. DAMN MCCAIN JUST GAVE OBAMA THE WHITE HOUSE

  41. Just Sayin

If Obama was skreet, he might say somethin like dis:

Awrite tavis, Aww, you MF. Okay. Alright. I’m putting cases on you *****es. Huh. You think you can do this *****… tavis. You think you can do this to us? You MF, you’ll will be playing basketball in Pelican Bay when I get finished with you.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has just issued this statement: “We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin’s historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain. While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Governor Palin will add an important new voice to the debate.”

  47. Davari

First Things First. Most of in here are Obama supporters, but thet Ho comment on Gov.Palin’s picture was some ignorant, disrespectful ***** and whoever is responsible for it needs to grow the ***** up.I agree that it’s a dumb pick and a desperate move to try to win over Hillary supporters, but most of them aren’t stupid enough to fall for that and the same Men in this country who wouldn’t vote for Hillary sure as Hell won’t vote for a woman who is far less more qualified as she was. McCain is 72 years old and Palin is 44 with ZERO foreign policy expierience whatsoever not to mention that she’s Pro-life which will turn off most of the supporters of Hillary Clinton that they’re so desperate to get.I believe that they know that they can’t win and are just trying to make it look good so they can dump the last 8 years worth of garbage into the Democrats lap.

  48. me

you wanna go to jail or do you wanna go home..

its not what you know, its what you can prove.. hehehhe

  49. seriously

In my opnion if obama loses thos election. Clearly race still is a MJAOR issue.

Mcain VP picks makes no damn sense really. IF these hillary clinton supports fall for this. Then they deserve the four more years of bullshyt they SHALL receive!!

The ruplicans bitxhed for a year that OBAMA has no experience and look who they chose for V.P.

Not to mention she has a new born baby with down sendrome. Women should be indepent and strong.

    T

here is no way in hell I am gonna leave my new born baby to pursue some poltical career. That baby is just 4 months OLD….DAMN!!!!

Baby probably dont even know what she smells like???

  50. Sydney

I agree — the misogynistic name-calling isn’t necessary. I may not agree with some of Gov. Palin’s positions, but she’s certaintly not a “h*.”

Here’s the official statement from the Obama-Biden campaign on Gov. Palin, by the way: “We send our congratulations to Governor Sarah Palin and her family on her designation as the republican nominee for Vice President. It is yet another encouraging sign that old barriers are falling in our politics. While we obviously have differences over how best to lead this country forward Governor Palin is an admirable person and will add a compelling new voice to this campaign,” said Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden.

  53. Lisa

I definitely agree that this seems to exploit the Obama/Hillary beef and seems intended to entice Hillary’s voting base. It was shrewd for sure but that is not what we need right now. This shows me that McCain is indeed a soldier with the sole objective of victory instead of the common good of the working cl***** of America.

  54. baeyaki

uhh this is more example that being white and pretty in america is all that it takes sometimes….this chick has a journalism degree and started her political career in the PTA!!!!

And lets keep it real, she is from Alaska….that place screams diversity!!

  55. Nita

Bossip wrote, “It looks more like he was thinking about tapping that or exploiting the Hillary/Obama beef more than finding the best person for the country.”

There’s already youtube videos out of McCain checking out Palin’s *****.

Obama doesn’t check out other women’s *****es. He checks out Michelle’s *****, though, all the time. And he sure as hell wouldn’t be offering her up to no biker topless contest — like McCain did to Cindy.

Anyway, if McCain was going to try to appeal to PUMA dumb*****es, he p*****ed over several well qualified, better qualified FEMALE candidates in the party, to pick Palin. They were older though. And we all know how McCain feels about women when they start to get ‘too old’.

Also, I’m starting to believe the rumor that the baby is actually her grandbaby, because the time line for when her water allegedly broke, she continued to give a speech in Texas, she then went on an airplane (huh? after your water has broken?) and flew to Alaska. The official reason is because she didn’t want her baby born on Texas soil (!!! seriously). But the story doesn’t sound right to women who have actually gone through labor.

All that to say, Palin has some good points, if you’re a true conservative. But McCain picked her for all the wrong reasons and p*****ed over better true conservative candidates in order to do it. The question right now is:

Was the Palin pick really the result of 6 months of vetting? If it was, why did it come so out of left field? Is she really the best candidate for VP?

    Is Palin a puppet?

  56. Nita

  60. hanibal. U are hilarious! Are u getting worked up over sarah? lmaooooooooooooooooo

    anyway

this is what I have to say:

It is called a gimmick. McCain is deeply worried about how well Obama is doing and after such a great convention, he decided that he needed a little trick to drum up some fake publicity for himself.

Does he really think that Hillary supporters (women who actually care about other women and their RIGHTS) would be so foolish and idiotic and just jump on his bandwagon now because he picked a woman! He is still the same jack*ss who does not care about the economy, womens rights, our global standing, the environment, etc, etc, etc…………

She is the exact OPPOSITE of Hillary and any woman would be a fool if they switched sides because he picked a ***** pro-life, anti-climate, pro-oil glorified beauty queen as his running mate!

Nice try McCain. We don’t need the female version of yourself.

And what a joke that he says that Obama has no experience! Yes, I would feel so secure with this woman who has no experience running our country if he should just drop dead (a real possibility at his age) I am glad those years in the local PTA will come in handy, and walking down the beauty queen stage, when she needs to deal with global leaders.

McCain questions Obama’s judgement and he turns around an chooses a person so amazingly unqualified to be his president, and possible commander in chief of the most powerful country in the world……..he is more senile, desperate, and out of the touch then I thought.

Women are not so stupid that all the look at is the gender of the party running!

“Oh, look, a woman VP!! Goody, Goody!!! I am now voting for McCain and going against everything I believe in!”

  61. STOP TRIPPING!

hell, barack obama was a commmunity organizer who made a speech and he hasn’t ***** since! she’s more qualified than obama because she’s a governor. if you are supporting obama fine but don’t insult this accomplished woman. obama had less than two years of experience before he announced that he was running president.

  62. Sydney

    @Nita

“There’s already youtube videos out of McCain checking out Palin’s *****.”

Wow, really? Not surprising, unfortunately. I think Cindy should watch her back — McCain was still married when they started dating, no? Once a philanderer, always a philanderer. . .

Also, like you, I’m also wondering if she was vetted because I read today that her own press secretary didn’t know she was in the running until she received an early morning call today. Interesting. . .and some people are peeved that Pawlenty and Romney served as decoys. But I have to give it to McCain — I think this threw a LOT of people off guard and, once again, put the Obama camp in the defensive position of having to respond quickly. This is true politics, and this campaign is historic in so many ways.

    @HF

I agree that referring to Gov. Palin by that offensive term is definitely not in the spirit of the Obama-Biden campaign. We can do better.

Yes, it is a very smart move, but it’s a smart move for all the wrong reasons… and it may end up biting McCain in the ***** in ways that are unforseeable now which will continue to lift Palin up while bringing he himself down.

As for the woman vote, Sarah Palin is anti-abortion/pro-life. I’ve known several Republican women who flip the party script when it comes to abortion. Will ‘the female vote’ pull the lever for a woman who is anti-abortion?

Palin is a GREAT choice for people who need an excuse not to vote for a black man and don’t care how their ‘firsts’ are achieved, just as long as they get it.

Palin is a live-with-able choice if you’re a conservative who hates John McCain, considers him fake, but can’t stand Obama or Biden. Palin is nicely conservative instead of an outright RINO. And she did apparently throw down against her own party, when it came to Republican corruptness in Alaska and removing them from positions of power.

I’m not liking this choice because it can work to McCain’s advantage more than Obama’s as people get used to the idea.

Democratic women are already talking about how much they hate the choice because it reminds them of all the times a qualified woman was p*****ed over for a newer, prettier, younger but less experienced model. And that anti-abortion issue is a killer. There are people already talking about this being McCain’s Trophy VP, like a Trophy wife. He hasn’t won over many Democratic women at all, if that was his intent in trying to pander to Clintonistas and PUMA. We’ll see, though.

It’s going to come down to the debates. How can Biden disarm this ***** without looking like a cad himself?

  64. USC Alum

I can see how selecting Ms. Palin as VP can have any added value to the republican ticket. Not a good move at all! Just my .02 cents

  65. Sydney

Here’s some info from Politico on how McCain chose Palin:

John McCain first met Governor Sarah Palin at the National Governors *****ociation meeting in Washington in February of 2008 and came away extraordinarily impressed. John McCain followed her career and admired her tenacity and her many accomplishments. She was scheduled for a high profile speaking role at our convention and included in the VP selection process because of his admiration for her strong reform credentials. Last Sunday, Governor Palin and John McCain had a conversation over the phone. Governor Palin was at the Alaska State Fair, and John McCain was at his home at Phoenix. Previously, Rick Davis, John McCain’s campaign manager, had also been in regular contact with the Governor as part of the on-going selection process. This past week, Governor Palin arrived with Kris Perry in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Wednesday evening. Upon arrival, Governor Palin and her longtime aide Kris Perry met with Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter of the McCain campaign at Mr. Bob Delgado’s home in Flagstaff. Mr. Delgado is the CEO of the Hensley corporation, which is Mrs. Cindy McCain’s family business. On Thursday morning, Governor Palin and staff were joined by Mrs. Cindy McCain and later joined by John McCain at the McCain family home in Sedona, Arizona. At approximately 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 28, 2008, John McCain formally invited Governor Sarah Palin to join the Republican ticket as the vice presidential nominee on the deck of the McCain family home.

McCain’s answer to Hillary, electing a woman, since she could not get nominated, so he can get her voters, to support him…Smart move, I dk know if it’ll work, but smart move…Another thing, if he says “Barack is not ready to lead because of his age and experience, isn’t this contradicing his own argument, by having a vp basically with the same issues….Just food for thought…

  67. If McCain respects and admires women so much, then why has he engaged in extramarital affairs? Why does he cite the breakup of his first marriage as his greatest failure? Furthermore, why won’t he allow a woman to make her own choice as to what she decides to do with her body?

and would of been better if he would of chose Condalezza rice?

  68. dont be mad if McCain and His VP win. Bossip is a hater!!!!!!!!!

  69. Nita

@Sydney, yep. He got caught. It’s funny as hell, to me, because his eyes keep going down, and then they pop back up! finally, the camera moves so that it only focuses on Palin’s face.

    But damn, McCain was blatant.

But the biggest thing that got me is that he’s fiddling with his ring finger of his left hand!

  70. I doubt it tony

Btw: obama is leading in the polls

  71. Sydney

    @Nita

I think Biden will have to be careful about how he “disarms” Palin. Biden can be an attack dog, but if he goes after Palin in a certain manner, it could make him look like a bully in the eyes of women who believe this campaign has been tinged with sexism all along. It’s going to be a balancing act. All of this factored into McCain’s decision to choose her. Don’t forget, he and Biden are close friends, and he knows Biden’s debating style. He chose someone who will force Biden to think carefully about his words and arguments.

  72. Sydney

    @Nita

*shaking my hand* He’s something else, isn’t he? I’m still trying to verify the “c*nt* comment he reportedly made against Cindy a while ago. He’s known for his bad temper.

On a side note, did you hear that Cindy’s half-sister has said that she’s supporting Obama?

    @Ms. Sugar Walls

If Condi had been picked, I think that would have caused an even bigger quagmire for both women and black voters. She can certainly be tied to Bush and his policies, but she also has a proven record of experience and knowledge. There are other well-qualified Republican women as well.

  73. ET

Gotta say Bossip is it necessary to call her out, b4 she even offends anyone. I’m also glad to see that there other bossip readers, who can think outside the liberal box. Funny, isn’t it; that out of the 4, she is the only one who’s actually worked in the private sector, ran a business and been in charge government office!

  74. Nita

@ Sydney, girl, that’s what I’ve been saying all morning, since the Palin news broke, about how careful Biden has to be when it comes to debating Palin. You make me feel not so alone.

The ***** remark may or may not be real. It depends on whether or not Cliff Schecter was telling the truth, or if he pulled a Jerome Corsi (the *****hole who wrote misrepresentations about Obama and his family) on McCain. Wonkette writes that, according to Cliff Schecter in his book, ‘The Real McCain’, back in 1992, the following incident occurred:

” Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain’s intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, “You’re getting a little thin up there.” McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you *****.” McCain’s excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days. “

  75. Nita

Sugar Walls, they’re really trying to take the bounce away from Obama.

It’s all gonna come down to the debates. Pretty only goes so far when it comes to the presidency. As long as McCain doesn’t cheat like he did at Saddleback,…… I’m just going to leave it to God, and vote, and make sure everybody I know votes.

  76. Sydney

    @Nita

Thanks for that excerpt — I read that recently, and I really don’t want to believe it’s true because it’s just so disgustingly ugly. I think anger may be McCain’s Achilles heel.

On the subject of Palin, it’s so interesting to me that he made the announcement, hours after Obama’s monumental speech and on the third anniversary of Katrina (I saw a statement today from Obama, by the way, but I haven’t seen one from McCain yet — again, no surprise there). I thought he went ballistic during Obama’s overseas trip recently when he put out the Paris Hilton ad and attacked all the attention he was getting. Now this comes out the day after Obama spoke before more than 80,000 people in a beautiful display of unity and purpose. It’s like he couldn’t let him have the spotlight, lol. This morning was all about Obama, and now it’s all about Palin.

    Just some observations. . .

  77. JorgeOoOoOo

Obama is in trouble now…he should have picked hillary instead of making a dumb move picking joe biden.

Isn’t there anymore refined and experienced female candidates in the republican party? This choice is an insult to all woman. Talking about good insight and judgement…hummm. that flew right out the window. I believe she was a quick decision choice made by somebody else.

  89. Not a Gimmick or a joke. First to Sydney. The selection is made today 1) because it MC Cain’s birthday & 2) it grabs the media that has been stuck all week in Denver on 3 day holliday weekend. She is non beltway person, a real change maker. As to you Hillary folk, she earned her offices. Hillary instead has rode Bill’s coat tails for 25 years. Palin shures up the GOP base that was luke warm to McCain. She Appeals exactly to the voters Obama has been losing for 5 months. She has the plusses of a Romney, without the baggage. It also plays to the Domestic affairs side of the ticket. Mc Cain’s other choices did not do that.

    WHITE WOMAN

  94. Is this guy *****ing serious? I’m really offended that this is the bull he came back with. Is this supposed to be a stab at the democrats? wait.. OOOHHHHHHHHHH! I GET IT!

He doesn’t really want to be president but this whole thing went way farther than he expected so he needed to do something to make absolutely certain he wouldn’t win. Of Course!

  95. McCain is so desperate to be accepted that he will just take any woman to be his vice president, that’s scary. I’m sorry that woman looks grimmy/crazy. I am sure she got a lot of bones in her closet, the truth will eventually be revealed. I feel a scandal coming on.

  96. Seriously, any Hillary supporter would be slow enough to switch parties because she didn’t win, obviously missed whole point. On majority of the issues, she agreed with Obama and, ultimately, the democratic party. To jump and say that you’re a republican just bcause tere a woman on the ticket is idiotic and as a woman, I’m offended at the gesture. It’s like he’s figures that all of us weak minded women wll give him our vote because he got a girl. ***** you, McCain! I’m smart enough to bull***** when I see it.

  97. dayg715

mccain may as well concede now.

    OBAMA ‘08

  98. Bohwe

This is the biggest joke in American history, seriously. This woman has 5 kids, 4 are most likely living at home, living the Suburban Family life, the one that is always the blueprint for t.v. She’s living in Alaska, a state that really has no ties to the U.S. accept for being apart of the Union.

Why would she want to leave the comfort of Alaska for what she will face dealing with those sharks in Washington? They won’t respect her, they won’t like her, and they will disrespect her to her face. Really, when the ol’ boys in Washington are having their power meetings , getting deals made, back talking, and cutting up like men, how will she survive in that environment. She can be conservative and have stauch republican beliefs, but it won’t mean jack because they won’t listen to her, nor respect her. They will treat her like an outsider. I feel sorry for her, why would she want to put her husband a man that works on the oil rigs or something through that? And that environment isn’t for the weak, and listening to her speech and reading her non-existent meaning of what a VP is, the ol boys club will have a field day. The Beauty pageant days are over, she needs to be prepared for men to hate her for leaving her children at home , especially one that isn’t well, Obama and Biden can just sit back and watch her own party destroy her. Alaskan politics isn’t real politics, she just entered into a warzone, and having a Elisabeth Haselback personality, won’t cut it.

BTW: as a woman I’m giving Biden my 100% support to spank that booty during the debates. Please.

She’s woman enough to play a man’s game, she’s woman enough to take the spanking.

  99. Supasuzi

It is a shame when other women jump on the bandwagon of hating another woman because she is a woman. Down grading her by saying she must be sleeping with the man above her or calling her a ho…..Have a real reason to put people down other than trying to lift yourself up….

  100. HoneyChile

We all know McCain is just trying to get the vote of the American women! He’s a joke!!

  101. Sharpton's Perm

I just realized this chick is a former beauty queen as well as Cindy Mccain.

Guess we know the standard of women they like on the repub side.

Michelle Obama is an Lawyer with degrees from Princeton and Harvard.

    you do the math

  102. SimplyLee

McCain is not the youngest man around. I do NOT think I would want this woman to run the country in the event of his unfortunate demise. They pick at Obama’s experience? Pahleaaazzeeee. She was mayor in godforsaken ALASKA in a town with a population about equal to Mayberry. I have no idea HOW she got to become Governor but she has only been doing THAT for a year and a half. A BACHELOR’S degree in JOURNALISM from the University of IDAHO??? Come on….Am I on Candid Camera? I have been looking for the camera all day long.

  103. Calling this woman who has risen to the governorship of a state is just stupid. I won’t say insulting, it’s just ignant. People like Bossip who have not been involved in politics and don’t know how to present discord in a respectful manner are why Obama may be derailed. These are the same “supporters” who claimed racism by the Clintons. THAT was stupid. If you support a candidate, you don’t do him any favors by doing stupid ***** like this, just ask Ludacris. Just shut the f*** up and let the man win. He has it in the bag if his so called “supporters” would stop trying to help.

  104. Jaycee

Y’all, we cannot underestimate the McCain/Palin ticket. If we don’t take Palin seriously, we may slack up and allow them to win the election.

She has beatened more experienced candidates to become Governor.

  105. blck repub

HAHA STOP HATING BOSSIP THIS CHICK GONNA HAND BARRACK AND BIDEN AN ***** WHOOPIN

  114. Sydney

    @Tiger

Oh, I understand completely whey McCain chose Palin, and a campaign ploy, it was brilliant — the afterglow of Obama’s speech was quickly overshadowed by the buzz about this largely unknown governor of Alaska. But although Palin would make history if she and McCain win the election, I believe it would also put our nation at great risk. We are in a time of great crisis — we are at war, the economy is steadily deteriorating, and many people are suffering. McCain turned 72 yesterday, has had cancer, and his health is a serious concern. Should the worst happen, Palin, a first-term governor with no observable foreign policy experience, would be president. She is, as Dee Dee Myers described yesterday, the “X-Chromosome Dan Quayle.” Can we, in this time of great domestic/international turmoil, afford to take such a gamble?

Also, I’m an Obama supporter, but I’ve been an admirer of Hillary for years, and, yes, I see this choice as an insult for everything she stands for. This woman even opposes the choice of abortion for women who have been raped or are the victims of incest. Her views run directly counter to many of Hillary’s positions. Unlike what McCain and other Republicans believe, it takes more than putting someone with ***** on the ticket to garner women’s votes. Most of us are smarter than that. I wouldn’t vote for an African American I thought wasn’t qualified for the job, and I certainly won’t vote for a woman whom I believe is unprepared to lead this nation.

Sarah Palin is no Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Pure comedy. This is playing out like a made for tv movie. This country looks pathetic. Just get ready for more drama to unfold.

  117. Willie

Exactly, let’s look at the facts.

McCain released that congratulations commercial to Obama to draw attention to the fact that he is black. (I think Obama should release a commercial wishing McCain Happy Birthday).

McCain picks Palin to pander to Hillary Supporters. Let the chunk yard dog out; Let Hillary go after McCain for this choice.

If Obama and Biden take the bait it will get ugly.

I love Obama, but his style is non confrontational and republicans are desperate.

He can’t get bogged down with the VP choice; He has to keep hitting McCain.

McCain and Rove picked Palin on Thursday night when Obama gave that electrifying speech. Desperate, but they figure at the very least it puts Obama in a quagmire if he attacks her experience or if Biden goes after her to hard they will be called sexist and

    Elitist.

McCain has proven he will do anything to get elected by picking Palin, he’s almost surely going to die before a second term and this is who he picks to take his place?

I can’t wait until November 4th so I can celebrate this victory.

    YES WE CAN

I have to admit that was very smart of him but i know thatthere are alot more qualified republican women out ther more qualified then her! SHE IS NO HILLARY and does not have enough experience to pick up all Hillary’s suppoter! If he wanted to be really spiteful he should havr picke a black women that wouldve really scared Barrack and Biden both.lol GO OBAMA!!!

  121. Flawdagurl~tell em'

    @Willie

cosign%120000-I was thinking the same damn thing he is what 75 years old or something like that but i don’t wish death on anyone but can she really run this country if something happens to McCain? I mean at least Hillary had experience in the white house and she’s been the senator of New York While 9/11 was in effect and handle her city withease and confident. Now who is PALIN?

  122. memchee

    McCain made a desperate choice.

the guy is old and he chose someone younger and less expereinced than just about everyone in the u.s house of reps and the senate.

This choice should solidify a landslide victory for Obama.

  123. Al-Anon

Ya’ll don’t understand the SUPER POWERS” of a beautiful white woman.

Why do you think they use them to sell everything? Pretty white women get “free opportunities” all the time. It’s a given

She has 5 children from age 19 years old to 5 months old. The baby who was born in April has Downs Syndrome. She works full time and has time to be a soccer mom and PTA president. Furthermore, she runs the great state of Alaska. She’s a superwoman. Being Vice President will be a piece of cake.

Besides McCain being 72 years old and having to take his daily naps, she’ll be running things anyway. She’ll be Presidential material real soon.

Then she can apply for the position of god. That’s god with a little “g”!

  124. sniper

    Palin !

  125. Sunshine

Hurry and view the website, though, because even the website for Alaskan Government has taken down all pictures of Gov. Palin when she was supposedly pregnant. This is all over the internet.

  126. When the economy is the biggest concern with the american public why not pick Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska, instead of Mitt Romney, a man who has bailed 4 major companies out of Bankrupcy? Stupid, stupid move on McCain’s part. He just handed the election to Obama.

  127. it is being alleged that Sarah Palin “faked” the pregnancy of her last child, a baby born with Down’s Syndrome. The claim is that it was her teenaged daughter’s child, not hers

  128. Sydney

There are also reports that McCain met Palin ONCE before picking her as his vp candidate this week. And there’s speculation about how well she was vetted. I also read about the pregnancy rumor online, but I haven’t been able to find any solid confirmation. I think more will come out soon on Palin, and this may be the worst political misstep McCain has ever made. But who knows? After all, this is the same nation that elected Dubya not once, but twice. Anything’s possible. We have two months and there’s still much work to be done.

And am I the only one who finds it wildly ironic that on the even of the GOP convention in the Twin Cities, Hurricane Gustav. which is now a Category 4, is predicted to hit the Gulf Coast by early next week? People are evacuating New Orleans today. It could be very serious and the region has not rebounded yet from Katrina. People’s lives are still in disarray from three years ago.

  129. Sydney

Even journalists in Alaska are second-guessing the selection of Palin as a vp candidate:

A reporter for the Anchorage daily, Gregg Erickson, even did an online chat with the Washington Post, in which he revealed that Palin’s approval rating in the state was not the much-touted 80%, but 65% and sinking — and that among journalists who followed her it might be in the “teens.” He added: “I have a hard time seeing how her qualifications stack up against the duties and responsibilities of being president…. I expect her to stick with simple truths. When asked about continued American troop presence in Iraq, she said she knows only one thing about that (I paraphrase): no one has attacked the American homeland since George Bush took the war to Iraq.”

  130. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Al Qaeda is quaking in their sandals

  131. Sydney

    @Ms. Sugar Walls

Have you read yesterday’s People magazine interview with her? It’s frightening. If elected, McCain would be the oldest first-term president in history, if I’m not mistaken.

Given her young age and relatively short resume, why is she any more ready to be president than Sen. Barack Obama?

JOHN: I don’t think it’s a short resume. She first ran for office back in 1992. I don’t know what Senator Obama was doing then, but the first time she ran was 1992. That’s 16 years. I think that’s a pretty, pretty event-filled and record-filled resume.

SARAH: And I haven’t had too many years other than that to fill up yet.

    JOHN: There you go.

Do you feel ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

SARAH: Absolutely. Yup, yup. Especially with a good team around us.

  132. STEFANY

Who is Sarah Palin? Here’s some basic background:

She was elected Alaska ’s governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

She’s doesn’t think humans are the cause of climate change.5

She’s solidly in line with John McCain’s “Big Oil first” energy policy. She’s pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won’t be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.

  133. Imoonah

John McCain looked high and low for someone to fit a profile that his team had in mind 1) someone to be his yes person 2) white female with kids 3) some political background

She does not have to have experience which is very clear just an image on his ticket… One of her sons is in the army also a plus he believes

John wants Hilary’s votes… anything to help get him elected into the office. This is not about the best man/women for the job it is very clear to anyone with some sense that it is about positioning himself before the election. It will probably work with some of the narrow minded people that stood behind Hilary but won’t stand behind Barack simply because he is Black.

  134. Sydney

    From Politico:

We knew McCain is a politician who relishes improvisation, and likes to go with his gut. But it is remarkable that someone who has repeatedly emphasized experience in this campaign named an inexperienced governor he barely knew to be his No. 2. Whatever you think of the pick, here are six things it tells us about McCain:

    1. He’s desperate. Let’s stop pretending this race is as close as national polling suggests. The truth is McCain is essentially tied or trailing in every swing state that matters — and too close for comfort in several states like Indiana and Montana the GOP usually wins pretty easily in presidential races. On top of that, voters seem very inclined to elect Democrats in general this election — and very sick of the Bush years.

McCain could easily lose in an electoral landslide. That is the private view of Democrats and Republicans alike.

McCain’s pick shows he is not pretending. Politicians, even “mavericks” like McCain, play it safe when they think they are winning — or see an easy path to winning. They roll the dice only when they know that the risks of conventionality are greater than the risks of boldness.

The Republican brand is a mess. McCain is reasonably concluding that it won’t work to replicate George W. Bush and Karl Rove’s electoral formula, based around national security and a big advantage among Y chromosomes, from 2004.

  135. p1tey1

This will either go down as one of the biggest blunders in political history, or a brilliant move on McCain’s part. Only time will tell. But my support of Barack Obama and Joe Biden is UNWAVERING!

  136. big boss

this ho just got picked cause she’s a white ***** and she’s anti abortion…i can’t wait for all the scandals to break out. looks like mccain is giving this election to obama and sparing guys like romney from embarr*****ment in november. meanwhile, palin’s career will be shot to hell.

  137. Pretty Poison

Palin doesn’t deserve the blatant disrespect, Bossip. Being a female conservative Republican governor doesn’t make her a “ho”.

I never heard of this woman until yesterday, and I am not worried about her. Tons of insecure, sexist, white men will rather see Biden take over. McCain is too old and unhealthy, and sadly Obama is very “*****asination *****e”. The fact that the V.P. choice is so heated and controversial right now, tells me that many people are not confident that either McCain or Obama will complete their elected terms in office. *sigh*

Behind the scenes of the Republican party are just as split as the Dems were earlier this week. They are not happy. The GOP is shaking their heads and they say Mitt Romeny is furious. I can’t wait to see the acting job done next week at their convention. Mitt got p*****ed over for a beauty queen with a journalism degree. That is basically the most simple degree given out.

Goes back to what Chris Rock said, “A white man with a C-average can be president of the U.S.” The Obamas spend day one of the convention explaining why they were successful but not elitist. I have never in history heard of such nonsense. No other presidential nominee in history had to do that. Not even John Kerry & his rich ***** wife. The GOP respected the Kerry’s wealth but would NOT respect the Obama’s ivy league education.

  139. Somer

This woman is from a state that has very few minorities and do not have an illegal immigration problem. This ***** and her family are going to be shell shocked when they start campaigning in these urban cities.

  140. Real Conservative

Obama and the dems talk about change yet they pick a 35 yr washington senator..dems have made ppl think they are the part y of change and equality by saying it so much..whereas republicans actually are the party of change because they DO bring in minorities..republicans freed the slaves, republicans appointed first black justice of supreme cout clarence thomas, first black secatary of state colin powell first african american woman condoleeza rice alberto gonzales a hispanic to attorney general and noe sarah palin for vp..Palin has actually led a government for two years..sens obama and biden (and Mccain to be honest) have signed bills and had a staff of aides to read over all the details for them..Palin has had to make choices that affect ppl everyday..liberals are for tolerance as long as you only tolerate their views and no one elses..im not a huge mccain guy but i will vote for him over all flash no substance obama..can anyone name one specific thing he has DONE? i wanted Huckabee myself a man of Christian values and character who demonstrates the way to conduct a christian campaign.

  141. Jaycee

    ====================

I agree with Sydney’s post. John McCain’s pick of Palin is his version of a “Hail Mary p*****.” Picking Palin gives him the opportunity to get more of his base energized instead of staying home on election day. He was going to get a percentage of Hillary voters regardless of who he picked, but I don’t think he increased the numbers. Whether you like HRC or not, she is a brilliant, accomplished woman.

I don’t know Sarah Palin, but running the state of Alaska is no where near the complexity of being a senator from New York or a mayor from a large city like Los Angeles, Chicago, or Houston. Managing resources supporting 700,000 citizens is a tad different than managing the resources supporting 301 million citizens. I am not even factoring the diversity of US citizens, Congress, and international politics.

  142. Moreaces

Stevie Wonder can see what this move is all about.

  143. Ignorance is Contagious

While I do not agree with her political views, Bossip really needs to figure out a better way of communicating their thoughts about women besides the word, “hoe” this is the reason that regardless of a womans sexual choices, I do not use the word because it creates a culture that promotes disrespectful language against women. Hence, Bossip calling everyone “hoes” ranging from women who are victims of domestic violence (the Suge story and beyond) to politcans.

  144. Robin Thicke

    Ignorance is Contagious

So are you implying that *****es who go out with *****s like Suge aren’t hoes? ***** pleeze, stop rationalyzing bull*****.

  145. DieVerse

Hahahha, girl had no ambitions! hope she ends up helping Obama win the election.

ps- but fo real why is bossip always calling people a ho??

  146. Willie

    @Flawdagurl~tell em’

We eye to eye on this one!

People have to understand that McCain thinks it’s his turn, period.

That’s how most of the Washington cats think.

He forgot that pedigree trump’s service in the republican party of 2000 when he lost to Bush. Now he can’t believe that he’s about to be upstaged by a black man.

“Palin the *****” will not change this!

    1. The very base that she was brought in to mobilize has issues with women leading anything but a baking contest!

    2. You’ve successfully alienated all other bases in the US, Blacks, Women, Gays, Hispanics, immigrants, venture capitalist, doctors, scientist, young and *****ing, etc.

    3. Any feminist worth her salt will not vote for an Ex. beauty Queen. A Runner up at that!

    4. What does creationism have to do with factory jobs being shipped over seas, or women making less money for equal work???

In the debates I hope that Biden walks carefully but, I still want him to take her to task.

Gay Marriage, Abortion, and creationism are individual matters that can be handled family to family; the economy, war, foreign policy, and government are the real issues so once again it boils down to Obama and McCain difference of issues.

I have to say were becoming mighty desperate in this our 999th year of life, ……………eh McCain!

    It’s a set-up!

    We didn’t take the bait!

    YES WE CAN

  147. On March 5th, 2008 Alaska”s Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.

Palin”s daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended cl***** with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.

Palin does not appear pregnant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

And there”s more ” check out the photo above taken with Palin”s daughter having a bulge in her stomach.

And even more. Since these rumors have begun circulating, the Alaska Department of State has taken down ALL PHOTOS of the governor and her family from the state”s website.

I’m not knocking the lady for trying to protect her daughter. But if you have that kind of scandal in your recent past, you really have no business running for vice president. If that”s what she wanted to do, she could have done like Janet and Rebe and just stayed out of the limelight for a minute

The MSM/Press is chicken to report this, this reporter has learned that The National Enquirer is all over this one. Expect the scandal to get bigger

  148. *****in amazing

that picture isnt of sarah pallin… but sarah is an absolutely gorgeous woman……. i currently live in alaska and everyone here is excited to actually be recognized on the map….

id feel safer about my country being left in the hands of mccain/pallin than with obama/biden…. my husband is military and right now i want someone who has his best interests at heart both physically and monetary…. obama is looking into the interest of other countries before the united states…….. both mccain and pallin have kids who are on the front lines fighting this war alongside all the smiths, lopez’s and washingtons…… thats 100x better than bush and cheney’s corrupted ***** not caring about people dying but worrying about keeping there wallets full……

  149. *****in amazing

oops sorry…thats an older picture of her… i stand corrected

  150. Jaycee

Biden has a child serving the military as well.

  151. Mel B

WHy are we calling females “Ho’s” we were jumping up & down for Hillary. This is another historic moment. Either way, History will be made with either candidate… I’m surprise this website would call a woman a “Hoe” whose running for VP but wouldn’t call Joe Bidens an old Hoe for kissing Obama in every pic… biased reporting at it’s best.

  152. Palin has two sons (Track, 19; and Trig, four months) and three daughters (Bristol, 17; Willow, 14; and Piper, 7) [Ages as of August 2008].[91]

“She gave birth to Trig on April 18, 2008, while in office as governor, and returned to the office three days afterward.[92][26] The baby, as prenatal genetic testing had shown, has Down syndrome;[93]”

With a special-needs child, she returned to work three days after giving birth?

Personally, I think this takes the Republican “tough enough” stance too far.

  153. It amounts to this:

She has 20 months as a governor with no national or international training to speak of.

Obama served as a member of the Illinois senate for 7 years. Then as Illinois senator for more than 3 years. Obama also has national and international experience. Works in Washington. Has earned two more educational degrees beyond Palin (he graduated magna ***** laude from Harvard). He also is a seasoned professor teaching law for 12 years at University of Chicago.

She is a fly on the wall compared to him.

  154. D.P

She nice mature, educated, sexy look.. I aint mad at McCain

  155. *****in amazing

    Jaycee(Check me out!)

Biden has a child serving the military as well.

His son is Judge Advocate General Corps (Military Lawyer) who yes is in iraq is nowhere near the frontlines…… pallin’s son who deploys from Ft. Wainwright, AK on or around September 15th will be fighting the front lines…. he enlisted as an infantry man…..Biden’s son has a reduced chance of being injured, hurt or killed

  156. Here’s why:

I am offended that the Republicans and John McCain underestimate my intelligence as a woman. Sarah Palin is a cheap attempt to appeal to female voters.

I was really hoping that McCain picks Romney, instead he chose Sarah Palin. I was hoping to see a match between the Dem and Rep. SP alone has weakened the Rep position and acted as further proof that Republicans underestimate the intelligence of the American people.

I can imagine the long, drone out meetings that led up to the current choice. The discussions were surely heated. People had different favorites and each was justified in their own right. The fact that Hillary C was popular amongst women and blue collar workers came up quite a few times. Maybe more than a few times… That is why Sarah Palin seemed like such an obvious choice to the Rep party. She’s a woman and she’s from a blue collar town… (that happens to have oil that we desperately want to drill for).

Well THIS woman is not having any of it. Just because I share similar chromosomes with Sarah does not mean that we share the same values.

Sarah is a card-totin’ member of the NRA, is anti abortion and likes Moose Stew. She has 5 children named Bristol, Piper, Track, Willow, and Trig. Those names sound more like nicknames. “Trig” isn’t even complete… as if by her fifth child Sarah was too tired to fully name him/her. Maybe she was going to name him/her “Trigger” since she is an avid hunter? I don’t have the answer for that one… Anyway I digress.

Her qualifications consist of a few years as mayor of a small town of 9,000 people in Alaska and less than two years as governor of that state. The small town she left behind is now in financial ruin. This woman seems to have less experience than Obama, which was a major issue for the Republicans. Can Sarah take over as president if McCain d*es of old age? Is this woman ready to lead a nation? McCain is 72. By the time his eight years are up he’ll be 80. Will he live to that ripe old age? Well maybe, we only need to look at Cheney — he is bionic.

She has no experience in politics …. let alone international politics… has this woman ever left Alaska? Maybe she’s been to Paris — the one in Las Vegas that is. LOL

McCain – may I recommend myself for VP status? At least I’ve lived in Europe… that qualifies as international experience. I’ve been to Israel… surely Lieberman (who lives in CT five minutes away from me) would approve.

Back to Sarah with an “h” though… she wants creation science to be taught in public school. Lets fix the US school system before we go ahead with that plan. Kids in public schools can barely read these days. One thing at a time lady.

I have to ask… what is up with her hair… she looks like a waitress at a truck stop. Maybe that explains the reasons of choice in regards to her children’s name. I bet she calls McCain “sweetheart”. I can’t relate to women with no choice of style. Michelle Obama has style. .

Back to Sarah with an “h”… can’t wait for Tina Fey to start doing Sarah impersonations on Saturday night live. SNL just got funnier with the Rep VP choice. I thank the Rep party for doing the impossible – making SNL funny again.

I am still mad. Don’t get distracted by the jokes.

Sarah is a hunter who is for drilling in Alaska… maybe through the corpse of a polar bear for all I know. Sounds like she wants to improve the economy of Alaska not the world.

The final part of my rant is that SP is sending of one of her sons to go fight in the American war. I’ve stopped calling it the Iraq war a while ago. I think the new name is better suited for the situation (bush’s personal war, that his dad didn’t finish. Well SP does have 5 kids. One of them must be disposable. It must be “Trig”. She doesn’t even love the kid enough to give it (he or she I do not know the names are androgynous) a full name, or stay at home during a important part in his life. Yes women work and leave their babies at home, but a down sydrome baby? I don’t think so.

Now ask yourselves… how can a mother send of her child to war. What does it say about the character of a mother that does so… I am sure it is a difficult decision at best. No mother wants to put her child in harms way. Does the family need money… after all is 30k worth giving your life for? A job at Starbucks pays as much and is less dangerous… surely in this day and age there are other options than war… Does Sarah’s family need money? It can’t be the money…She is filthy rich.

How can a mother send of her child to a war I ask… How does she sleep at night? Does she still have the right to be called “mother’?

YOU MIGHT BE A WOMAN SARAH PALIN BUT YOU ARE NOT LIKE ME.

Talk amongst yourselves… while we still have the freedom of speech… oh I think Sarah Palin is against that too SMDH

PPS: If anyone cares I am a registered independent and much to everyones dismay can not run for president since I was not born in the US. Never-the-less I value it’s freedom of speech and hope to one day run for congress/senate

    So with that being said

    GO OBAMA/BIDEN

thanks mccain for helping me make up my mind

  157. Suckrack Yomama

He is an arrogant liberal *****.

He hides his SAN FRANCISCO LIBERALISM behind “moderate” sounding rhetoric. Yet even the National Journal (a liberal publication) voted Obama as the MOST LIBERAL member of Congress!!!

Yeah, Obama is an arrogant ***** trying to beguile the world with his sneaky brand of politics. He cleverly disguises his social views behind closed door promises with lib-tards in San Fran — because he knows that NO ONE WOULD VOTE FOR HIM if they realized just how liberal he really is! But wait until the RNC convention! I think that there is an EXPOSE coming with Obama’s liberal weeney posted all over it! LOL!

  158. white fools!

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

    suck on mcsame’s ***** bustas

  159. That’s the new buzzword from the rethugs “misogyny” and THE reason why he picked her. In hopes that democrats will be labeled misogynists. Why DIDN’T he pick Kay Hutchinson? Too old, but way more qualified. We won’t fall for this misogyny crap.

  160. Sydney

    @Ms. Sugar Walls

The National Enquirer is all over the Palin pregnancy rumor? The same National Enquirer that broke the John Edwards scandal? Wow. . .

OK, so we have an ex-beauty pageant runner-up for vp and we have a hurricane that could be worse than Katrina approaching the Gulf Coast this minute while the GOP gets ready to open its convention tomorrow. The Republicans are really making a name for themselves — they truly are out-of-touch.

As Hillary said, No Way, No How, No McCain.

More on Gustav. Please keep the people of the Gulf Coast in your thoughts and prayers:

Warning that Hurricane Gustav is the “mother of all storms,” Mayor Ray Nagin late Saturday ordered a mandatory evacuation of the West Bank of New Orleans for 8 a.m. Sunday and the east bank for noon.

“We want 100 percent evacuation,” Nagin said. “It has the potential to impact every area of this metropolitan area.”

Katrina had a footprint of about 400 miles, he said. Gustav is about 900 miles and growing, Nagin said.

“This is worse than a Betsy, worse than a Katrina,” he said.

  161. Sydney

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President George W. Bush will not likely go to the Republican National Convention on Monday because Hurricane Gustav is expected to strike Louisiana that day, the White House said on Sunday.

  162. Sydney

This should give serious pause to anyone who supports the right of women to choose. The Palin has energized conservatives on the Far, Far Right. If McCain wins, the possibility that Roe v. Wade will be overturned is very real:

“I’ve talked to two prominent social conservative leaders in the past 24 hours who told me they had previously not planned to attend the convention, but were now coming to Minneapolis after the Palin pick,” wrote Ralph Reed, a Christian conservative leader who has tangled with McCain, in an email. “One scrambled to find a hotel room and is coming tomorrow; the other re-arranged his schedule and is flying in Wednesday. I got a call this afternoon from an evangelical business leader who told me he was contacting the McCain campaign and offering to host a fundraiser with his friends for McCain (sans the candidate) before the Thursday deadline [when McCain shifts to the public financing system]. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a veep pick energize the gr*****roots like this.”

Rush Limbaugh, who exulted on the air this week, summed up the response he’s gotten from his loyal listeners: “Home f***ing run.”

“Palin=Guns, Babies, Jesus,” he wrote in an email. “Contrast that to Obama’s bitter clingers. Obama just lost blue-collar, white Democratic voters in Pennsylvania and other states.”

  163. Suckrack Yomama

Obama is just an arrogant ***** who thought he was “qualified enough” to run for President after 143 days in Washington. But like Hillary said, “Senator McCain has 25 years of experience with foreign policy, and Barack Obama had a speech he gave in 2006.”

Believe it or not, I was actually pulling for McCain to ask Hillary to be his VP running mate. Although I disagree with her on many issues, she is intelligent enough to reposition herself to the center…and experienced enough to lead as the President.

Obama? He is just wise in his own eyes…and he is still a very arrogant *****.

  164. Abortion Rights = Bull*****!

As evidenced by the fact that when a woman chooses to get pregnant she doesn’t say “I have a m***** of fetal tissue attached to my uterus that could–under the right cir*****stances–potentially develop into a human being” no she say’s “I’m having a baby.” Why is it that when a woman wants to have a baby it’s a child and when she doesn’t it suddenly becomes “something else”? P.S. Oh and if you want to bring science into it the baby is technically made up of half the father’s genetic material so at the very least shouldn’t the dude have a say?

  165. Abortion Rights = Bull*****!

Oh, and one last rant. I love that in his speech the other night, Obama noted “John McCain likes to say he’ll walk through Hell to get Osama Bin Laden, but the truth is he won’t even go to his cave!”

Gimme a f*cking break. Such chest-thumping, tough guy jingo-istic words might have had some meaning and weight if they had actually came from a guy who had served in the military (which Obama was too chicken ***** to do in comparison to McCain) AND if they weren’t coming from a guy who has repeatedly voted against military appropriations to support our troops, not to mention if those words also weren’t also coming from a buffoon who vocally stated again and again that he was against the Surge. Which by the way has clearly worked and yet Obama is STILL too much a spineless weasel to ADMIT it worked or to give proper credit to General Patreus or our troops overseas for its execution.

Oh, but that’s right — for Obama to acknowledge that the Surge worked he’d ALSO have to admit that he was against it all along, and thus admit that his Commander in Chief instincts are for *****. And it would mean that Obama would have to admit that HIS idea for an American military unit engaged in combat means dropping instantly your weapons and running with your hands over your heads like a squealing 2-year old as you retreat with your tail between your legs at all times.

Obama’s cave reference was the low point of his candidacy so far. It was a truly LAUGHABLE line and a true cheap shot. Not to mention, if Obama is a senator…and McCain is a senator…and each has one vote in the Senate…just HOW the f*ck does Obama figure that McCain somehow controls the military? That they’re his chess pieces to push around, while Obama is left out in the cold with no say?

For crying out loud, could it possibly be any more clear that Obama is an inexperienced, ill-prepared, whiny little *****? Then again maybe he’s just mad that Oprah can’t write a check and buy the Oval Office for him…

  166. Real Conservative

GET SOCIALIST BASED SCIENCE OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS!

Thank God for Sarah! Finnally, someone who can stand up to reason and logic and put the TRUTH back into our schools. And she is brave enough to take a stand against all the worlds leading scientists that say the Global Warming is a fact! We know that its just a leftist agenda to bring Socialism into America. God Bless the South! God Bless America.

  167. Suckrack Yomama

If Obama’s not man enought to have Hillary as VP,

He’s not man enough to face down Vladimir Putin. After all, Palin at least has been in charge of something. I still don’t understand what a community organizer is except that it must be some leftist excuse for a job.

  168. Suckrack Yomama

MORE PROOF OF THE OBAMA/BRITNEY COMPARISON:

It was reported last Wednesday that Britney’s set director designed the Obama stage. Another stroke of genius by the Camp McCain. Brilliant!

  169. daughtercreole

people we need to register to vote and vote for Obama bc there are many racist people in states most people never heard of b4 in any situation Sarah Palin 16 year old daughter recently had a baby in March 2008 and Sarah p*****ed the baby off as her child not her grandchild… America this ***** is shady and if McCain needs his d**k suck fine but keep your w***** to urself don’t rep a b***h as ur VP wat a f**kin a**hole

  170. Jay

Umm thats not even Sarah Palin, its Sabine Ehrenfeld, the Overstock.com spokesmodel. Can you at least get a correct pic! Ya slippin’ Bossip ;-)

  171. P

Lol at the McCain idiots trying to troll here.

    ENJOY YOUR LOSS in November.

  172. P

McCain can’t even tell Sunni from Shiite, he’s too old to mentally hold the position.

Also, he’s flip flopped on so many issues, you idiots don;t know what he’ll do once he gets in.

He selects the MOST COMPLETELY WRONG, inept, and radical right wing nutjob possible for the VP job….a sessionist? REALLY? LOL.

He has no economic plan besides continue the polocies that have run the middle cl***** into the ground for 8 years.

He has no health care plan except to give insurance companies more customers to whom they can deny coverage.

He has no plan to help companies keep job in America except to train US workers in more jobs that just might also get shipped off overseas.

McCain has NOTHING and his shift from REAL TALK to REAL BULL***** proves it. Can’t wait from November, and I know BOSSIP AGREES!

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!! YES WE CAN!

  173. Shereece

I’m not sure if someone brought it up before but that pic is not of Sarah Palin.
