The damage has been done.I like the idea offered up by a few people with some memory of the Alaska spill: The president can crack the whip on all oil companies that do business in this country to get involved.Even if it’s just skimming & separating.Better than nothing.

What’s going on in the Gulf, is unacceptable on so many levels, it’s embarra$$ing. The Obama Administration from the beginning should’ve set a strict timeframe for BP to seal that leak or they (The Obama Admin.) will step in with the necessary qualified personnel to solve the problem at BP’s expense.

Obama has allowed this disaster to become over politicized, instead of exercising strong leadership which is inherent with the title as POTUS! – TAKE CHARGE AND SOLVE THE DAMN PROBLEM!

It’s not a question of who owns or runs BP, but as POTUS, it’s his responsibility to make sure all avenues are considered in dealing with this ecological disaster – And as such, after a week and half of BP’s inept attempts at trying to seal their leak, The Obama Administration should’ve ordered BP to stand down and let other more qualified engineers (who doesn’t have any vested interest in BP) to step in and solve the problem…Now, over 40+ days after the fact, BP is back to SQUARE ONE in trying to clean up this mess.

I REITERATE, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION NEEDS TO EXERCISE STRONGER LEADERSHIP BY DELEGATING THE PROPER STAFF AND RESOURCES TO STOP THE LEAK!

Uhhh, it’s not a NATURAL DISASTER, it’s a MAN-MADE DISASTER! – And as such, it’ll take a collective effort of brainstorming and strong leadership to solve this problem. BP has proven over the past 40+ days that they were unprepared for this “MAN-MADE” disaster of their own machinations, due in part to their own lack of PROACTIVE thinking.

BOB, this is NOT just BP’s problem anymore. This situation is much bigger than BP. This is turning into a huge mess threatening the health and welfare of people living on the gulf coast and the economies of gulf states. The POTUS should at least act like he gives an eff about what’s going on down here. People’s lives and the lives of wildlife are at risk. There should have been a plan in place to make sure BP solves the problem, and a backup plan for the government to help. I have signed up to help clean beaches should tar reach the coast of Florida, which is my home state. What are YOU doing to be part of the solution and not the problem?
