Tropical Storm Agatha was no joke this weekend in poor Guatemala:
A deadly storm in Guatemala caused a huge sinkhole in the country’s capital. A photo of the sinkhole was provided by the Guatemalan government. The first named storm of the season, Tropical Storm Agatha, hit Guatemala on Saturday, dumping more than three feet of rain in the country’s mountainous west. According to the government, the storm killed at least 123 people and more than 50 others are still missing.
The water also opened up sinkholes in Guatemala City, including this huge one that ate up a whole intersection.
