There are some great posts on this board!

What pisses me off about these people is the fact that they talk about how black men have to stand up and take charge-and when Barack Obama has done that and more-they find fault with him! It’s so astounding that they consider themselves leaders of the black community, but they take turns ‘lynching’ Barack Obama and his work. I cannot even bring myself to name call, because I do not want to be like them. They disgust me, and I will not have the same level of respect I had for them, then.

Mo you are saying nothing, still. There is no research needed. He’s qualified, he’s black, he is in the right place at the right time (rare for a brother), he is getting the job if I can help it. Today, Palin is “skin out” in bikini pics, w a gun in her hand. You won’t find Michelle like that! For him to lose my support at this point, I’d have to see a batty poloroid of Barack! Unless you have one, fall back. Funny thing is, they still have a chance in your eyes. After all their shiz in the past 230+ years. If they still gave OUR people the benefit of the doubt, after OUR repeated f’ups, Blacks wouldnt need a savior in the first place. All you point out she DID… was her JOB! She is no messiah, you are brainwashed (think good cop/bad cop). And at this point I’d usually hit you with the C.E. Negro title, but I’m gonna chill:) He’d NEVER get to where he is today operating like her (pandering) and “Grand-standing up for you”. And judging where he is now, she probably wishes she had done it HIS way. You take those 4H kids away to “expose” them.. Well don’t you think your people need to be exposed to highest office?

You mean to tell me, that if one of those hellions you take on the 4H rowboats, was to escape all the things preventing him from this experience. This in spite of his beginnings in the hood. And, have a chance to run for the top spot.. He wouldnt have your support? Thats where I am, mami.

It goes back to the saying we black people are like CRABS IN A BARREL.

Black poeple are intelligent and other people know it that’s why they fear us but they know our weakness and they play us against one another and we fall for it everytime. We hate on each other so badly (Just black people: rich to the poor; gay to the straight; educated to the uneducated) If we stopped being so envious of one another we would be the most powerful culture imagine how far we could go.

These three negroes might be intelligent, but they are phonier than a 3dollar bill and their hating on BO because what they lack he has. (Cornell West isn’t he married to a white woman) i don’t find anything wrong with it but if you talk the talk walk the walk.

The Jig is up.Peep the name “Smiley”.These so called brothers are worried about staying relevant.Cornel West is indeed a brillant man as far as academics are concerned.His judgement of current events are sorely lacking.These people are not interested in the presidential race.they are trying to keep a buzz before the light goes out.What purpose would their be for a Black leader if the leader of the nation is black.Enjoy your last moments in the sun because twilight is upon you.I don’t remember Dr. King spoeaking much about Marcus Garvey.Marcus Garvey laid the foundation for Ghandi.Dr.king mentions Ghandi”s nonviolent message quite often.Ghandi also is famous for liberating his people a blueprint championed by Marcus Garvey.Lets look at what the agenda of someone who has profitted so much from raceism.Their perspectives, their commentary is all race based.In that same spirit”Hi Hater”.You don’t care about black people you know you’ll be needing a new job soon!!Can the brother do the job before he gets in office?Give him the same opportunity we would give anyone else.We don’t even have a black America.The nation is rallying around a Brother and his own people can’t get on board.You would rather we loose the election just to say on national TV I’m black and I’m proud.LOL,Are you kidding me?I doubt if Obama wins they will allow him to change much.

Big business and their interests move the USA.Good luck Barack.If we are only 15% of the nation and he won the nomination that says alot about the American people.Get with the TIMES CORNY WEST and TAVIS stay SMILEY.Race is the past,there is an economic struggle that does not discriminate.That is what makes us all brothers!!

Datroof… my degrees are actually in Journalism and Political Science. Sorry I’m not up on my drug use instructions. Yes actually I was a part of the city 4-H club, it takes kids out of their environments and exposes to things they’ve never seen before…horseback riding, rafting etc. (we don’t talk about snorting crack there) I do volunteer work with my Sorority at the YMCA shelter for women and children. etc. etc. If you are naive enough to think that his focus will shift to black folks when he’s overwhelmed and inexperienced dealing with balancing the budget..ending the war…national security… and ALL the other issues the President has to deal with you are sadly mistaken. He overlooked you in Illinois…and he will step over you in the White House PERIOD. DUH Hillary Clinton is out of the race, unfortunately. I was merely pointing out that MOST of us were/are too caught up in the hype to RESEARCH the candidate that actually DID for black folks…not just TALKED about doing for ALL. The candidate that wasn’t afraid to lose white votes for speaking up for US. The candidate that was DOING work in the community while YOUR candidate was SNIFFING coke??? Shooting Crack? Maybe you can fill in the blank since your education seems to be in the feasibility of drug use…

p.s. Those 2 degrees must be in Baltimore Indoorism, because I have never seen nor heard anybody snort crack. Its a lil too rocky for the nasal passages.
