Ne-Yo was granted over 700K for his lawsuit against R. Kelly:
The R&B star has scored a nice payday for being dumped from R. Kelly’s road show last year. A Los Angeles judge has ordered Kelly’s promoter to pony up $700,320 to the “Because of You” Grammy winner. Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey made his default judgment after Georgia-based Rowe Entertainment refused to respond to the lawsuit filed by Ne-Yo under his real name, Shaffer Smith. Per his suit, Ne-Yo was supposed to earn $785,000 on the 25-date jaunt, but the 25-year-old performer was canned by Rowe after the second show on Nov. 15 and only received a fraction of the contracted amount. At the time, the promoter blamed the dismissal on Ne-Yo’s camp for not completing the proper paperwork. There was no immediate comment from either Ne-Yo or Rowe on the judge’s ruling. Kelly was not named as a defendant in the suit.
Although he was not the ‘defendant’ in this one, it’s about time the Pied Pedo’s skating ass camp had to pay up for something.

Bossip stop misrepresenting the facts. This was a default judgement against Rowe Entertainment which is probably no where to be found. Neyo will never see a dime. It’s unfortunate Kelly chose a two bit promoter for his tour. That’s the lesson here. Stick with an established promoter.
I was just watching the youtube for this, Ne-Yo said R. Kelly had some “code blue” for when he enter back stage which meant everybody clear the halls and all doors closed. I couldn’t believe it. Good for Ne-Yo, humble pie is quite necessary some times.

singer/songwriter has came out of the closet and announced that he is
gay. The multi-platinum recording artist sat down with Essence Magazine
last week and announced the shocking news stating, “Yes, I am gay, and I
have always been.” After several internet rumors have been circulating
around the internet. He also said, “You now this world we live in is
full of judgement, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so
long to come out of the closet.” Earlier this month, a man by the name
of Derrick Johnson claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the
singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for
months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet
over the ordeal. Worrying that it would destroy his image. Ne-yo
responds sayin g, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer
ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting “That situation
was what inspired me to write the song Unfaithful. But no one knew it
was actually about myself, and our relationship.” He told Essence that
he doesn’t care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to
come clean. Quoting, “the music industry can either except me for who I
am, or desert me.”

@ MAJOR: Whoa!!!! Real Talk??? Damn. I always knew it, but I didn’t expect him to come out the closet and crush his album sales. I mean, damn, right before an album release? You can look at the cat and tell he’s gay, but for him to say it. Wow…I need to read this for myself. That’s crazy.

Disclaimer : – The story seems to be true however do not take this story for what it is. I have contacted Essence magazine to confirm the interview/story. Until they get back to me, I will leave this story as a maybe.
It looks like Ne-Yo pulled a Lance B***** and came out of the closet. I find it surprising that his record label tried to pay him off not to reveal his sexuality but I guess thats business. I believe his cd is still pretty good and he writes awesome songs. If he does come out with another video, my question is, will he still use chicks as the object of his affection?
