Wow, this is quite the story:

Police arrested a Long Island corrections officer Wednesday after a shooting spree that left her ex-girlfriend and uncle dead, and her grandfather wounded. The woman also abducted a niece and drove around for hours before surrendering. Kim Wolfe, 43 years old, allegedly shot Stacie Williams multiple times around 1:35 a.m. outside of Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. Ms. Williams had worked at the hospital for 23 years, most recently as a nurse’s aide in the maternity ward. An emergency medical technician carried Ms. Williams, 45, into the hospital’s emergency room where efforts by doctors to revive her were unsuccessful, police said.

Ms. Wolfe and Ms. Williams had been dating but recently broke up, said Det. Lt. John Azzata, head of the Nassau County Homicide Squad. In recent days, there were attempts at reconciliation, he said. On Wednesday morning, he said, Ms. Wolfe brought Ms. Williams food during her break at the hospital when the shooting happened.

Thirty minutes later, Ms. Wolfe pulled up in her Mitsubishi Montero to a house relatives shared on Vermont Avenue in Hempstead, about three miles away from the hospital.

Police said Ms. Wolfe rang the doorbell and told family members who let her in that she had shot Ms. Williams. When Ms. Wolfe’s father, Robert, died a few months ago, Ms. Wolfe took it very hard, neighbors said.

“She changed,” said another neighbor, Gladys Lanier, 64. “She started losing weight. She said she couldn’t eat.” After Stacie Williams’s 28-year-old son, Frederick, learned his mother had been shot, he rushed to the hospital and was hit by a car, police said. He refused to be admitted to the hospital, police said.

Ms. Wolfe, who collapsed after her arrest and was treated at a hospital, is expected to be arraigned on Thursday.

Sounds like some serious lezzbun lovin gone wrong. Damn. R.I.P.
