I gave $100 to the New York Republican Party three years ago. I’ve been receiving a swarm of email ever since. Today I received two emails from a group called Mamas for McCain. They gave me 10 places on the internet where I could post anti-obama messages. This was one of them. And they made several suggestions of hateful things I could say about Obama. I don’t like that sort of politics. McCain is a nice man. I am grateful for his service to our country (although I’m getting tired about constantly hearing about it). But McCain is not the best man for the job. McCain has voted with Bush 95% of the time, and he has voted with his party 90% of the time. I feel terrible that I voted for Bush four years ago. I will not make that mistake this year. I want a REAL change.

He is does not like the fact that a Black man has surp*****ed him in his political career. Talking about upidity, ***** thats word the white folks invented and so what if he is there is no crime against it. I have never in my life heard of a presidential candidate having to explain why he is successful. I thought all presidential candidates were college educated. Now the rules have changed for the black candidate. He has to explain how he & his wife were both able to accomplish the American Dream without rapping, dancing, singing or playing ball.

@ Takealook – I took a look and found that the page you referred us to was full of factual errors. Martin Luther King Jr. was not a republican. If you’ve read his autobiography, then you know that because of his goal to achieve Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity for all, he knew that it would take working across political lines and remainng neutral on things that were not condusive to reaching this goal. In his book “A Measure of a Man” he wrote that as a clergyman well as an activist and had to use all of the weapons in his aresenal at times which caused him to remain neutral. There is no record of him voting for Kennedy but the relationship he had with the Kennedy was a tenuative one, however he was said to have worked very closely and well with LBJ, who signed the civil rights act into law. We was a cl*****ic independent and did not affiliate with either political party. Just ask his children. Martin Luther King Sr. wrote in his autobiography that HE was @ one time a registered republican, but after the Kennedy’s help procure the relesae of his son, he thanked them and started to lean more to the left. It was after Nixon won the white house that King Sr. changed his party affliation to the democratic party and stayed with that party until his death in 1984.
