Chris Brown has the support of Michael Jackson’s brother, following his touching BET Awards tribute. Yesterday we asked if he should be forgiven…. Jermaine says yes! Pop the hood for his words
Jermaine was so touched after Breezy broke down during his rendition of Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’ at the BET Awards, that he expressed his hope that Chris Brown’s critics to forgive him for beating up Rihanna:
“He’s a human being like all others, we all make mistakes. What he did was wrong. I love Rihanna… I’m one of his biggest fans… We can’t condemn him because of what happened. We hope he learns from this,” Jackson told TV news show Extra.
“He (Brown) deserves to perform because it’s healing for him. How can he learn from his mistakes if you don’t give him the chance? He needs that. I support him a thousand per cent; I’m not supporting what he did because it was wrong, but, at the same time, we have to give him a chance,” he added.
Jackson added that he was greatly moved by Brown’s tribute to MJ, “It was very emotional for me… It was just a spectacular moment.”
As we all know, Jermaine is no Michael, still it’s a pretty heavy endorsement. Jermaine Jackson wasn’t the only one pushing for Brown to be allowed to push ahead with his career, although people have been divided over whether or not Breezy was faking the funk with the tears during his Michael tribute.
