The people God use aren’t perfect, only he is. Their job is to relay the message and try to live up to his standards. They will have to go before the judge themselves. What I don’t like about these types of reports is that it gives the immature and undiscerning reason to not try to co-op with God and abide by his rules.

1. Rev. Wright was correct in his assessment of the US govt. AND 9-11. The fact that his “divisive” (damn America) sermon was recorded right after 9-11 and that many of his contemporaries, both white and black, were saying a lot of controversial things in those trying days has been overlooked.

2. I’m a brotha who lives in Chicago and I frequently converse with some of Obama’s former church members and it’s well-known that when Wright’s “old sermons” came into the national spotlight Obama wouldn’t even accept Wright’s phone calls as to how to squash the matter. Even though some of the videos were 6 or 7 years old! IMO the damage to his campaign wasn’t Wright’s fault. Although this recent shady azz adultery sh!t is very wrong, Wright cannot be blamed for the sermon videos…that is what he’s always done and Obama really didn’t have to apologize for it. Just another example of him foot-shuffling for middle America.

3. STOP RIDIN OBAMA’S NUTZ! Yes, he is better than McCain because he’ll be able to usher in some much-needed programs stateside but he’ll keep the war machine rolling as evidenced by his talks of Afghanistan and Iran and his non-mention of the recent Georgia embarrassment. Obama is merely a tool of the CFR and the elite groups that control them. Why do you think Biden was tapped for VP??? As for the situation concerning Rev Wright; I feel we are all living in God’s waiting room, in terms of finding out what happens after life here on earth. I am in no way shape or form perfect, I am not a leader of a church, and don’t want to be. Not out of fear, or anything but because I feel the perspectives having gotten out of line, not in all churches neither. I feel the church is supposed to be the ER, and that we are supposed to go to the ER when we feel it is severe enough to need some assistance. I feel God has given us a medicine cabinet (Bible) to have with us everywhere we are so that we can never be without help (church closed). I know God has given us preachers, and teachers who are also in the waiting room just as we are. They are merely RN’s for God, they can’t provide the healing, they cannot provide power, however they receive the prescription as to what is needed from the healer, and they only can give it to us as it is written. It is on us to take it or leave it, it is also up to us to read it and make sure it’s fulfilled. That’s on our personal time. Now with that being said, I feel they (preachers, teachers, and prophets) get in trouble when they don’t take the medicine that they are prescribing to us, because they need it to. They get in trouble when they try to play the role as healer (God), which causes self-inflicted wounds. These wounds don’t only cause them to fall sick in sin, but oozes out scrutiny once they are seen sitting in sin in the ER, because the question becomes, why weren’t you treating and checking out yourself, you suppose to work here at the hospital (church)? Not that they are without it, but God’s word says that with the same measure you judge you shall also be judged. So the point is not that they were suppose to live sinless, but that they were supposed to be seen by the physician (God), before they started prescribing things to others. Why, that’s how stuff spreads!

“I’ve partied with him (Track) for years,” a source disclosed. “I’ve seen him snort cocaine, snort and smoke OxyContin, drink booze and smoke weed.”

After reading these comments, I will never look at most black men the same. I am so glad not having to manuever thru all this “new age” crap. I hate to say this, segregation was better, everybody stuck together out of necessity. Now there’s “freedom’ and everybody forgot about home, their black mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, they only worry about “something new”..At some point, no matter how open minded you are, this stuff gets sickening and very frustrating. I have faith that there are good black men out there because for one I was raised by one and my brothers,uncles, cousins, and church family are great examples of them.

I can recall back in the day when I was a little girl the black men of the community were much more respectful of their women, yes men cheated but they at least made a better effort to keep it hidden from home and would dare a chick to violate their wife (not that they were in the right anyhow) but it was about family

I can recall men giving me genuine compliments that had to do with the complexion of my skin (I”m a hershey sister) and would compliment me on my intelligence and tell me that when I grew up that I would make my parents proud, so my early experiences with black men was very positive & all about genuine love….not the heated and vile debate that takes place on this blog between brothas and sistas

Not all the brothas are like the ones myself and smdh describe but too many men and women condone the behavior of those men but are quick to judge and criticize black women for their shortcomings-we all have a long way to go but to me -the black woman is the most common denominator in our community we are strong and nurturing and I am going to continue to put my best foot forward and demand my sisters and brothers to do the same, and hopefully somewhere along the way I will meet that strong black brother that I can join & continue fighting to make our community a better place as a “strong black family unit”

and just because I love my race doesn’t mean I hate the others-it’s about self-preservation we are in a crisis and my skills and energy would be of better use to my own at this moment, because we need it the most.

Black men are a important part of our heritage, I’m glad to see you waiting on the right one, which I am sure that you will find, but when I hear that a man “feels like a man because the look on a white woman’s face is priceless, that just lets me know that we are still caught up, on the wrong stuff…Priorities aren’t straight, I believe very strongly, in the black family unit, but sometimes, I don’t know if that’s becoming a part of the past, too. Everyone glorifies interracial relationships. I don’t hate people who do that. I attend Friendship West, and have been out of town since this came out. I feel for Pastor Haynes, he looks up to, and is close to Jeremiah Wright. I hope the church will be able to kind of stay out of the spotlight as this goes on. Fortunately, there are bigger stories in the news, so this should be glazed over as we get closer to the election.

I’ve only seen this woman in person once, and it wasn’t at church, but I’m sorry, I don’t think she’s black. Possibly Latina, but she has a drop of something in her blood…
