Reggie Bush has probably seen better days. First, he was spotted causing a scene this weekend at the Haqq-McCray wedding trying to get Kim Kardashian to get back with him, and now his Heisman Trophy that was awarded to him back in 2005 will be returned due to USC and their shady a$s shenanigans.
They’re even removing all athletic jerseys, murals, and memorabilia of Bush’s from the school’s premises. Pop the hood for more details on both…
A memo written by USC incoming President Max Nikias:
The Trojan family honors and respects the USC sporting careers of those persons whose actions did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes. Accordingly, I have instructed the senior vice president for administration to remove athletic jerseys and murals displayed in recognition of (former basketball star) O.J. Mayo and Reggie Bush by mid-August — before the incoming class of students moves on campus — from Heritage Hall, the Galen Center and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The university also will return Mr. Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust in August.
Damn, Reggie. SMH.
According to reports, the Heisman Trophy Trust will meet next week to determine what it will do with the award won by Bush. The NCAA has banned USC from bowl games for two years and imposed severe scholarship restrictions following an investigation surrounding Bush.
USC has appealed, claiming the sanctions are too severe and “inconsistent with precedent.” The school did say it will accept a bowl ban for the upcoming season and certain scholarship penalties in football. Trojan officials have asked for the two-year postseason ban to be reduced to a one-year ban. The fallout over Bush, Mayo and their coaches began to really hit the fan when the NCAA cited USC for a lack of institutional control in its long-awaited report, which highlighted a number of violations primarily involving Bush and Mayo.
The NCAA discovered that Bush, identified as a “former football student-athlete,” was ineligible beginning at least by December 2004. The NCAA ordered USC to vacate every victory in which Bush participated while ineligible. USC beat Oklahoma in the BCS championship game in January of 2005, and won 12 games during Bush’s Heisman-winning 2005 season, which culminated with a loss to Texas in the Rose Bowl.
“I have a great love for the University of Southern California and I very much regret the turn that this matter has taken, not only for USC, but for the fans and players,” Bush said in an earlier statement.
And if all this wasn’t bad enough, sources snitched to BOSSIP that Reggie has been desperately attempting to get back with ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian:
According to sources, Reggie Bush admitted that his fling with Amber Rose was all to ‘get back at’ Kim for dating Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys. The football star even went so far to say that he was ready for marriage, children, and the whole nine yards….he was also continuously yelling “Miles will never be me! I’m #1!”
Sounds like someone’s little ego is getting crushed on a regular basis these days. Poor thang.
On another note, we hear Reggie’s been sporting around a lil Latina thang…Mayra Veronica, so he must not be too serious with the whole get back with Kimmy Cakes thing:
