As a black man, I used to use texturizers to give myself waves, until I saw the significance and learned to see my natural hair as ‘good.’ That has a subtle impact on the self esteem of every black god or goddess. S/N: people get so caught up in CULTURE, when it actuality, how many of us that are BLACK are 100% black and what right is that you tell me I have to embrace only one part of my culture? If I want blond hair then why is it a problem when a percentage of me may be white or of Indian descent?
