So she gets into an arguement with her baby’s daddy and because he more than likely walked out on her, she puts her baby in a Microwave? (Hey, that’s what the paper’s said).

The woman obviously needs mental help. You don’t kill your child to get the attention of your baby’s father.

This is sad, but this is niether the first OR the last time that you’ll be hearing stories like this.

I hope she gets some serious help.

AND to that mother and grandmother whose son set the grandmother’s apartment on fire because she wouldn’t let him go outside – THAT LITTLE BOY NEEDS SOME MENTAL HELP, TOO!

Don’t sleep! That boy voiced what he was going to do and the he followed up and actually did it. He needs help.

We as black people need to stop being IN DENIAL.

@wordtothewise you said…Oshie, you are right on with this. People make too many excuses for people’s wrong doings. I have no sympathy for this woman whatsoever. Oh, by the way, there is no reading enjoyment with this case AT ALL.

I, myself, am not trying to excuses for anyone. That baby was made by BOTH PARENTS and BOTH PARENTS should be held accountable for the child’s wellbeing, or lack thereof. Re: “reading enjoyment”, that is speaking of the slanted view presented to the reader to evoke biased emotion, such as “fry her and burn her”, without providing all the information to the reader to make their OWN decision. SENSATIONALISM at it’s finest.

@ anon Sept 10 11:45P I totally agree with you. These blogs are not putting it all out there. Looking at evidence, I don’t believe she did it. I believe it was one of the kids. As far as her being negligient, THEY ALL WERE. China was tore up, Talley (the baby’s dad) was getting high in the “spot” and knew she was in the house tore up, the paternal aunt went home, a couple of houses down, to take care of her own children. I mean, how many times have folks have been at home tipsy (or smoking–for weed and “other” smokers) and the kids are sleep and think I’ll just sleep it off??? Well, this time, something went horribly wrong and everyone is paying the price!!!

Thx for your information.. man what a story. How and why did they sentence her so quickly? w/ the info u presented do u think the ruling can be overturned any time soon?

The jury couldn’t come up with a sentence. They went a few days and were hung. Honestly, with the information that is out, I think she will get another trial only because all the evidence wasn’t presented AND the prosecutors witness has stated she was offered something and she did not tell the truth i.e that China stated she put the baby in the microwave and she just fit right in. The witness for the prosecution has changed her story more than once. Sandra Troll is stating on her website this woman told the prosecution she put the baby in the microwave. SHE HAS NEVER STATED NOR CONFESSED TO THE PROSECUTION TO PUTTING THAT BABY IN THE MICROWAVE. Sandra made the ish up!

I highly doubt they would convict a young boy especially if he’s not at the age of accountability. If this child had a problem with putting things in the microwave, somebody should’ve been watching him. There’s negligence all around this case, but the bottom line is obviously the jury didn’t buy the story b/c they gave her life w/no parole.

@anolod, I couldn’t have said it better…Sensationalism. When you hear the details of the case, you start to see that it’s likely she did not kill her daughter, ONE OF THE LITTLE BOYS IN THE HOUSE DID. Do I think she’s responsible for her child, yes. Was she guilty of negligence, yes. Did she microwave her baby, no. People wanna believe the story, urban baby-mama kills kid in microwave out of fear that baby’s dad will find out baby isn’t his…That’s storybook CSI, people watch too much TV and not enough of the details. I would never come to the defense of a murderer, but lets charge her with being negligent, irresponsible, maybe even crazy but if the evidence points at another person committing the crime, then tune out of Law and Order and consider the facts even if that means possibly convicting a young boy.
