Ellen leaves Idol

All it took was one year for Ellen to chuck up the deuces to ‘American Idol’!

Say it isn’t so for the show that once held America by the balls three nights a week, to see what nameless lame would make it to Hollywood. It seems with the departure of the slightly gay Simon Cowell and now the all the way gay Ellen from American Idol–could this show be losing it’s zest? Ellen went to her Twitter to announce that she will be taking her talents to South Beach next year! Well not really but she won’t be on ‘Idol’ that’s for sure. Ellen tweeted,

“Dim the lights…I’ve voted myself off American Idol.”

DeGeneres released a statement saying,

“I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Somewhere Paula Adul is going stir crazy waiting for her phone to ring! Now that Ellen is out the door that makes Ryan GaySeacrest the only girl on the show!

    I never thought Ellen was a proper replacement for Paula.
    Ellen is a stand up comic turned talk show host.She wasn’t qualified to judge a singing contest.

    The show is finished. I think she knows it. Without Simon its done. Ratings will drop more then one half this season. This is the final season, if not the year after for sure.

    Yeah, I heard J-low is Cara’s replacement. Why J-low? She cant sing! She should be judging a dancing show not a singing show. Now they are saying Steven Taylor may replace Simon. I hope this is the last season

    And if J-Lo isn’t qualified to be a judge, I don’t think Randy is, either, “dawg” — he was a backup singer and musician.
