In between bites (probably), Rosie O’Donnell gave her two cents about President Obama’s appearance on The View. According to her, high powered politicians are like salads on her plate, they have no place there.
Ousted former co-host Rosie is still offering her unsolicited opinion. She recently told reporters she disagreed with President Obama having a chit chat with the ladies from The View. The day before the show was scheduled to appear, she told the audience of her Sirius XM radio show she she had “mixed feelings” about the show. “I don’t really think sitting presidents should go do fluffy daytime TV shows. Maybe an hour on Oprah or something.” She complained.
The Presidents appearance on the view covered entertainment gossip ranging from Mel Gibson’s rants to Lindsey Lohan’s incarceration. During his interview Obama did manage to squeeze in some discussion of important political and social issues as well.
What y’all think? Is it okay to blur the line between politics and entertainment? Or is there nothing funny about recession, war, health care and civil rights?
