I actually live in Flint and just like @infamousjones said there is no news coverage on Flint and there have been many killings and shootings.. Maybe if there was news coverage than Flint could probably become a better city… Last month they were just talkin about having the national guard come into the city because of the shootings and killings that were taking place and there were so many happing in a period… Ashame to say another shooting or death in Flint is another day… Surprising when you don’t hear about a killing or shooting in the “local” news.

guys if you read my post. I said it’s not about race because Flint is majority black and there is never any news coverage for anything that goes on there. Yes there are other races there but when ur there someone is getting murdered almost everyday and the only way you hear about it is from someone close to that person. I definitely agree with what @infamousjones is saying. Being from Detroit and having friends from Flint, i hear about the problems that go on in Flint most of the time. For example, The city of flint layed off most of the fire department. For the next 48hrs, their were a string of home arsons around the city. That didnt get the proper media coverage it deserved. Flint has never had the proper coverage just like Detroit until most recently. But eventually, like Detroit, Flint will begin to get the proper coverage and people will begin to understand how serious the problems are in Flint.

first up you don’t need to cover every thing that happens. There is no rule to that. I know that when a white person goes missing it gets coverage because it feeds a larger demographic and that is where the money is at.
