My grandma had 5 kids after 30 and she was born in the early 1900's and I just found out her mom had kids after 30 and she was born in the late 1800's. But then again women back in those days didn't take birth control or eat bad foods like they do now so they probably could be fertile longer.

There is TONS of medical research out there that supports the fact that 1. there are alot of women choosing to wait to have children after 30 and even 40, 2. men can have children well into their 70s! I am an OB nurse and I witness it daily; women having babies later in life and the chance for birth defects are slightly higher. But there is a risk in anything. Having children is a big decision and responsibility and one that should be made after careful consideration!
