The body of 48-year-old Jan Keller was found dismembered with her head, feet and hands missing.

Police officials discovered the decapitated body under a tarp at the home she shared with her 51-year-old boyfriend Timothy Rose. Officials interviewed Rose who reported he last seen Keller leaving a restaurant on a Sunday and her family reported her missing on Monday. Police became suspicious of Rose’s statements and went to the house that the two shared. That is where they discovered an unconscious Rose with empty pill bottles and a shotgun. Rose is being charged with the murder of his girlfriend. Police found her body and went into the woods to later find her head, feet and hands in a plastic bag buried in a shallow grave.

County Sheriff David Shoar said, “This is probably one of the most heinous crimes that I have been involved in.”

There still is no known motive but Rose has a history of domestic violence.
