I think the fact that Hallie is biracial brings up a whole different animal–like racial identity and confusion.

I can’t say I understand it dead on because I’m not biracial but I can definitely understand where the biracial confusion comes into play. I’ve read some articles about not being “white enough” to fit in with the white kids or “black enough” to fit with the black kids, especially times before now. So I guess can empathize with Hallie and see where that comment came from at least.

I’m definitely not perfect and I’ve been done horribly by black men in my past…while going through some of my relationship woes I did date interracially but it wasn’t driven by my ‘hate’ for black men, I just thought I’d expand my horizons and live a little…but my husband is a wonderful black man who is strong and makes me very happy…I never feel the need to generalize an entire population of people based off a few bad apples…

I dated a French man years ago, and I had the time of my life! Besides the fact that he was beautiful inside and out, he always did his best to put me first. The problem was that he didn’t feel that the same was being reciprocated. While he admired my success, he said he did not want to be “treated like one of my clients.”I’m a successful LEO like Halley, so I understand what “might” be going on in her relationships. lol I don’t regret much, but not adjusting my leo ways, and letting this one get away was my BIGGEST regret yet. I hate to tell you about the U.K. but that whole concept that you state in the U.K. is a farce. The U.K. has a racial problem and blacks and Pakistani’s/Muslims dont really get along in the U.K. This whole race dating is about whites and the colored races because most Pakistani’s/muslims out in the U.K. dont marry blacks. I don’t know who you are trying to fool but in the U.K. everyone wants to be white. They also have a real racial identity problem. The whites live it up, but this whole racial harmony is not what you are making it out to be.
