With the economy looking like it’s about to fall off a cliff, Obama is murking the old man in the latest polls:
The size of Obama’s lead in the new poll — 52 percent to 43 percent among likely voters — will draw plenty of attention. It’s the first time Obama has been over the 50-percent mark in a Post-ABC News poll, and easily outside the margin of error.
It’s time for our generation to finally do something with some impact and go full blast by registering as many people as you can.

I don’t believe he should have to single out what he’d do for any race.
I believe that when he addresses low income and middle class families, as well as factory workers, victims of the subprime mortgage crisis, he’s addressing African Americans with the rest of Americans.
We, as African Americans, don’t face any challenges that no other race faces. Yes, we may be discriminated against, but I don’t see him saying, “White people, I’m going to help you keep your houses.” “White people, I’m going to bring your jobs back into America.”
As for the Latinos, he’s addressing the issue of Immigration. Most of my Latino friends believe they are above the immigration discussion because their families have been in America for generations. I believe the immigration laws should be reformed and that fence at the border should not continue to be built. It’s inhumane and sends the wrong message to the rest of the world.
Barack should not have to stop and look at Black people and say anything special to us. He’s striving to become President of the United States, and is having to work hard to be seen as an American and be treated as an American.

(AP) Chemical and drug maker Bayer AG said Thursday it acted “responsibly, ethically and humanely” during the 1980s in selling a blood-clotting product that stopped potentially fatal bleeding in hemophiliacs but was linked to the risk of HIV infection.
The company’s statement was in response to a New York Times report that it sold millions of dollars worth of an older version of the medication in Latin America and Asia while marketing a newer, safer product in the United States and Europe.
Bayer division Cutter Biological continued selling old stocks of the medicine for more than a year after it introduced a version in February 1984 that was heat-treated to kill HIV, according to documents obtained by the Times.
The medicine, called Factor VIII concentrate, can stop or prevent potentially fatal bleeding in people with hemophilia, a genetic condition that prevents blood from clotting normally.
Early in the AIDS epidemic, the medicine was made using plasma from 10,000 or more donors. There was not yet a screening test for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, so even a small number of HIV-positive donors could taint a large pool of plasma recipients.
As a result, thousands of hemophiliacs became infected with HIV. Bayer and three other companies that made the concentrate have paid about $600 million to settle more than 15 years of lawsuits accusing them of making a dangerous product, the newspaper said.
The documents from that litigation, examined by the Times, include internal memos, minutes of marketing meetings and telexes to foreign distributors.
Bayer, based in the western German city of Leverkusen, said Cutter continued selling the older version because some customers doubted the new one’s effectiveness, and because some countries were slow to approve its sale. It said there were initially concerns that heat-treating might make the drug less safe or less effective.
“Bayer has always behaved responsibly, ethically, and humanely to provide lifesaving products for the global hemophilia community,” the statement said.
“Decisions made nearly two decades ago were based on the best scientific information of the time and were consistent with the regulations in place. They cannot be judged on the information available today.”
The Times said at least 100 hemophiliacs in Hong Kong and Taiwan alone contracted AIDS after using the older product, and that many have since died. Li Wei-chun said her son, who died in 1996 at the age of 23, was among the victims.
“They did not care about the lives in Asia,” she said. “It was racial discrimination.”
Cutter also sold the older medicine in Argentina, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore after February 1984, according to the documents. The newspaper said Cutter shipped more than 100,000 vials of unheated concentrate, worth more than $4 million, after it began selling the safer product.
The sales continued partly because of Cutter’s desire to deplete stocks of the older medicine, and partly because of fixed-price contracts, for which the company believed the older product would be cheaper to make, the newspaper said.
In March 1983, the federal Centers for Disease Control warned that blood products appeared responsible for AIDS among hemophiliacs. Three months later, Cutter sent a letter to distributors in nearly two dozen nations saying that AIDS was “the center of irrational response in many countries.”
In late 1984, as Hong Kong hemophiliacs began testing positive for HIV, some doctors wondered whether Cutter was sending “AIDS-tainted” medicine into less-developed nations.
But the company assured its distributor that the unheated product posed “no severe hazard” and was the “same fine product we have supplied for years.”
In May 1985, Dr. Harry M. Meyer Jr., the Food and Drug Administration’s blood-products official, called the companies to a meeting, believing they had broken an agreement to stop selling the older medicine, the Times said. But Meyer decided to handle the matter quietly instead of notifying the public, the newspaper said.

In a 2005 video Daniel Mudd, at the time the interim CEO of the catastrophically failed mortgage lender Fannie Mae, affirmed his fealty and that of Fannie Mae to the Congressional Black Caucus. The top three campaign donation recipients were Democrats, number two of which was Barack Obama, yet the media is laying mum on these facts. One wonders what would be going on in the media if John McCain were a top recipient of campaign donations from a market crashing, government bail-out getting organization like Fannie Mae?
The three top campaign donation recipients from Fannie Mae were all Democrats. Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) got $165,000, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) was given $126,349, and failed presidential candidate Senator John Kerry (D-MA) took $111,000 from the folks at Fannie Mae. Is this information getting out there?
Most of the top Fannie executives were also Democrats each of whom worked closely with Democratic presidents and Barack Obama. Franklin Raines, Clinton White House budget director, ran Fannie Mae and pocketed $50 million. Jamie Gorelick was a Clinton Justice Department Official (famous for adding to our intelligence failures helping cause the attacks on 9/11) was paid $26 million. Jim Johnson, who most recently served on Obama’s VP search committee, was the CEO of Fannie Mae and has also made millions. These Clinton/Obama associates sat at the head of a failing financial agency all the while raking in millions and donating hundreds of thousands to top Democrats.
So what, you may ask? Well, there is a reason that these Fannie Mae officials donated to Democrats. It was because Democrats continued to stymie Republican efforts to fix these failing lending agencies. Democrats protected these rotten lending practices and the Fannie Mae executives knew who were the sugar daddies that needed greasing.

Unfortunately, the majority of politicians at all levels have received some form of endorsement or support from someone that worked for Freddie or Fannie. It’s how the mortgage giants were able to stay in play. It’s been going on for years. With that being said, please post information about McCain’s ties to Fannie and Freddie.

On November 16, The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons publicly condemned the forced vaccinations of children in Prince Georges County which is located in Maryland. Presently there are 1600 parents in Prince Georges County who have not had their child immunized for a variety of reasons. The position of the association comes at the heels of a court order by the state’s attorney general’s office in which the parents were ordered to appear in court so that their children could receive up to 17 doses of immunizations. If the parents choose not to attend they could be fined up to $50 for every day that their child is out of compliance.
The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons liken this incident to cattle herding and states that forcing a parent to have their child immunized completely negates informed consent and parental rights. Furthermore, the association feels that the act is reckless and puts children in danger because medical records should be taken into account as well as careful screening of each child should occur. It was also noted that the high number of vaccinations given at one time could also be dangerous. The association then stated that it would do everything possible in order to support those parents who do not wish to have their child immunized.
The guiding force behind the vaccination order is apparently money. The school district could lose a large amount of funding if the parents do not comply with the vaccination order. What perhaps makes the situation even worse is that Mr. Ivey has refused the hepatitis B vaccine for his children, but is forcing other children in the county to have it. The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons refers to this as “galling hypocrisy” and states that this proves not every vaccine is for every child.

Loan Titans Paid McCain Adviser Nearly $2 Million

Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.
Mr. McCain, the Republican candidate for president, has recently begun campaigning as a critic of the two companies and the lobbying army that helped them evade greater regulation as they began buying riskier mortgages with implicit federal backing. He and his Democratic rival, Senator Barack Obama, have donors and advisers who are tied to the companies.
But last week the McCain campaign stepped up a running battle of guilt by association when it began broadcasting commercials trying to link Mr. Obama directly to the government bailout of the mortgage giants this month by charging that he takes advice from Fannie Mae’s former chief executive, Franklin Raines, an assertion both Mr. Raines and the Obama campaign dispute.
Incensed by the advertisements, several current and former executives of the companies came forward to discuss the role that Rick Davis, Mr. McCain’s campaign manager and longtime adviser, played in helping Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac beat back regulatory challenges when he served as president of their advocacy group, the Homeownership Alliance, formed in the summer of 2000. Some who came forward were Democrats, but Republicans, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed their descriptions.
“The value that he brought to the relationship was the closeness to Senator McCain and the possibility that Senator McCain was going to run for president again,” said Robert McCarson, a former spokesman for Fannie Mae, who said that while he worked there from 2000 to 2002, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac together paid Mr. Davis’s firm $35,000 a month. Mr. Davis “didn’t really do anything,” Mr. McCarson, a Democrat, said.
Mr. Davis’s role with the group has bubbled up as an issue in the campaign, but the extent of his compensation and the details of his role have not been reported previously.
Mr. McCain was never a leading critic or defender of the mortgage giants, although several former executives of the companies said Mr. Davis did draw Mr. McCain to a 2004 awards banquet that the companies’ Homeownership Alliance held in a Senate office building. The organization printed a photograph of Mr. McCain at the event in its 2004 annual report, bolstering its clout and credibility. The event honored several other elected officials, including at least two Democrats, Gov. Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania and Representative Artur Davis of Alabama.
In an interview Sunday night with CNBC and The New York Times, Mr. McCain noted that Mr. Davis was no longer working on behalf of the mortgage giants. He said Mr. Davis “has had nothing to do with it since, and I’ll be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it.”
Asked about the reports of Mr. Davis’s role, a spokesman for Mr. McCain said that during the time when Mr. Davis ran the Homeownership Alliance, the senator had backed legislation to increase oversight of the mortgage companies’ accounting and executive compensation. The legislation, however, did not seek to change their anomalous structure as private companies with federal support.
The spokesman, Tucker Bounds, also noted that the Homeownership Alliance included nonprofit organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Urban League. “It’s not controversial to promote homeownership and minority homeownership,” Mr. Bounds said. More than a half-dozen current and former executives, however, said the Homeownership Alliance was set up mainly to defend Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by promoting their role in the housing market, and the two companies paid almost the entire cost of the group’s operations.
“They were financed largely, possibly exclusively, by Fannie and Freddie,” said William R. Maloni, a Democrat who is a former head of industry relations for Fannie Mae. “We thought it would be helpful to have someone who was a broadly recognized Republican to be the face of the organization, and that person became Rick Davis.” Mr. Maloni added, “Rick, for that purpose, turned out to be quite good.” (Several executives said Mr. Davis’s compensation was not unusual for the companies’ well-connected consultants.)
The federal bailout of the two mortgage giants has become an emblem of what critics say is the outdated or inadequate regulatory system that allowed the financial system to slide into crisis this summer.
At the time that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac recruited Mr. Davis to run the Homeownership Alliance in 2000, they were under new pressure from private industry rivals and deregulation-minded Republicans who argued that the two companies’ federal sponsorship gave them an unfair advantage and put taxpayers at risk. Critics of the companies had formed their own Washington-based advocacy group, FM Watch. They were pushing for regulations that would deter the companies from expanding into new areas, including riskier and more profitable mortgages.
Mr. Davis had recently returned to his lobbying firm from running Mr. McCain’s unexpectedly strong 2000 Republican primary campaign, which elevated Mr. McCain’s profile as a legislator and Mr. Davis’s as a lobbyist.
“You can say what you want about free-market distortions, but people like the system because it gets them into houses cheap,” Mr. Davis said to Institutional Investor magazine in 2000, adding that he would run the advocacy group out of his Alexandria, Va., lobbying firm.
The organization also hired Public Strategies, a communications firm that included former Bush adviser Mark McKinnon. Mr. Davis wrote letters and gave speeches for the group. In April 2001, he sent out a press release headlined, “It’s Tax Day — Do You Know Where Your Deductions Are? For Most Americans, They’re in Your Home.”
But by the end of 2005, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were recovering from accounting problems and re-examining costs, former executives said. The companies decided the Homeownership Alliance had outlived its usefulness, and it disappeared.

November 2, 2005 1430 PST (FTW): Since 9/11 the Bush Administration has been consistently eroding citizens’ rights to choose what treatments we put into our bloodstreams. If the Biodefense and Pandemic Vaccine and Drug Development Act of 2005 becomes law, that erosion of health freedom will be entering its final stage.
The Homeland Security Act of 2002 gives the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) the right to authorize mandatory vaccinations and drugging once a state of emergency is implemented. This new act will exempt pharmaceutical companies from any liability for death or injury as long as their drug or vaccine has been designated as a “countermeasure.”1
UPI has just reported that an experimental – and seemingly deadly – anthrax vaccine being tested by both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and HHS may have already been added to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) for emergency use.2 If this new law is enacted, the controversial AIG (anthrax immune globulin) vaccine could be labeled as a “countermeasure,” giving its manufacturer impunity if it is deployed from the SNS. Unfortunately, such a scenario would not be the first time an anthrax vaccine caused injury and death to humans.3
FTW recommends everyone read the UPI report thoroughly and carefully.
Some contenders for the coveted “countermeasure” title would include the anti-viral drug Tamiflu, BioPort’s despicable anthrax vaccine, VaxGen’s “next generation” anthrax vaccine, the ABthrax anthrax drug4 , multiple smallpox vaccines, and Cipro, to name a few.
If a “countermeasure” kills or injures people, the victims and their families will have no legal recourse in the courts. If the proposed act becomes law, the injured parties will have to plead their case to the Secretary of HHS. He alone determines whether any compensation might be warranted.
But there is a gigantic catch.
It must be proven that not only is the pharmaceutical company in question guilty of wrongdoing, but that they did so willfully. So if it is deemed an accident, a mistake, or incompetence that caused death or injury, there is no liability whatsoever. It is almost impossible to prove a pharmaceutical manufacturer willfully caused harm through their product, especially once the process is removed from the legal system and placed in the Whitehouse. This “accountability” clause has been added for the Senate to save face even though it does not protect citizens’ rights and is effectively useless.
If the legislation is passed, it will set up the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Agency (BARDA). This agency will operate secretly, exempt from the Freedom of Information Act. BARDA is the marriage of Big Pharma and Big Government, with the happy couple reigning side by side as they determine which drugs and vaccines will be anointed as “countermeasures.”
Biowarfare expert Jerome Hauer, who was named as a “person of interest” in the crimes of 9/11 by Michael Ruppert in Crossing the Rubicon, has just left his position as assistant secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness at HHS. FTW believes he is likely preparing to become a member of BARDA. The legislation that will create BARDA is on fast track in the Senate, and there is no individual in the country more “qualified” to be a member of this agency if, or when, it is created.5
BARDA eliminates what the industry calls the “valley of death” in biomedical research. According to Mary M. Shaffrey writing in JournalNow.com, the term refers to the gap between the point when companies have found potential medicines and vaccines for such diseases as smallpox or anthrax, but before they are ready to be verified in clinical trials.6
So does this mean we are the guinea pigs now? Shaffrey writes:
One key aspect of the bill is that the government will cover the liability risk for companies that manufacture drugs for use in a bioterror attack. Because the testing for these countermeasures will be limited, it will be unclear whether they are 100 percent effective until they are needed after an attack. [emphasis added]7
It is also unclear how many deaths and injuries each “countermeasure” will cause. They continue:
Over the course of the typical 10-year period from a drug’s conception to full government approval, a company can expect to make billions off a single drug, and that’s before it’s sold on the wide scale.8

The Senate is Big Pharma’s best friend, and while everyone is thoroughly distracted by the fact that the Bush Administration is finally in hot water, this bill is all but certain to become law. The indictment of Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Dick Cheney’s former Chief of Staff, is blinding everyone to the fact that Big Pharma is about to have its deepest, darkest dream come true – immunity from lawsuits. And those in the Senate who are actually criticizing the bill are only doing so from the standpoint that it does not address the bird flu “epidemic” with more fervor.
BIRD FLU
Obviously this legislation is related to the current media flurry surrounding H5N1 avian flu. But the facts are being intentionally muddied by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other interests who clearly have an ulterior agenda.
This “epidemic” of bird flu has killed a mere 67 people throughout the world since 1997, while other flu strains kill 40,000 people a year in this country alone. Bird flu exists, and it could indeed mutate toward a pandemic-inducing level of infectivity in humans. But it appears that the virus has yet to be properly isolated.
Thus far H5N1 (bird flu) has only been “isolated” through PCR — polymerase chain reaction — a powerful analytic technique whose inventor, Kary Mullis, was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1993. Dr. Mullis has been unwavering in his position that PCR cannot be used to properly and accurately isolate a virus. Only isolation through purification is considered the gold standard in virology.9
FTW interviewed medical researchers and microbiologists and found that thus far, no scientific papers have been published showing that H5N1 has been properly isolated through purification in any of the 67 human deaths attributed to bird flu. Only PCR has been used. If anyone can show this statement to be incorrect, please do so immediately by providing citations to the scientific paper(s) showing H5N1 has been isolated through purification.
Assuming such scientific documentation doesn’t exist (as it appears not to), just what is going on?
The WHO is forcing the pieces to fit into a pre-determined puzzle – an alternative agenda. The 67 deaths supposedly caused by bird flu need to be thoroughly examined and the virus itself needs to be isolated via purification before any discussion of treatment can begin. But this is not the intent of the WHO, the U.S. Government, or Big Pharma.
While this reporter does not always agree with the conclusions of Dr. Leonard Horowitz, he was entirely correct when he recently wrote:
Little to no data is available on these [67] individuals [the alleged victims of bird flu] who most commonly had immune-compromising medical conditions. Further, all deaths were in Asian countries with questionable health services.10
$8 billion of emergency government funding has been allotted towards whatever the next “super flu” will be, whether it is H5N1 or something else. Secretary of HHS Michael Levitt was recently quoted as saying, “If it isn‘t the current H5N1 virus that leads to an influenza pandemic, at some point in our nation‘s future another virus will.” 11
Tamiflu, the drug expected to reap the biggest financial gain from bird flu, will also benefit the current Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who owns stock in the company that originally patented the drug. Rumsfeld’s stake in Gilead Sciences Inc. is reportedly between $5 and $25 million, and as the bird flu scare has spread through the media the stock has risen dramatically.12
We are seeing a culmination of greed, fear, and lies comparable to that which brought our military onto Iraqi soil. This gravy train is on a deadly rush-to-market collision course with public health; its victims will be American citizens considered collateral damage in the “war on terror.”
Big Pharma needs the liability bailouts given by the Biodefense and Pandemic Vaccine and Drug Development Act of 2005 because they know their products will cause deaths. And if their “countermeasures” merely sit and rot in the Strategic National Stockpile, they are sure to make even more money filling the SNS all over again.

The goal is to promote the patently false idea that we have a nation of children with undiagnosed mental disorders crying out for treatment.
One obvious beneficiary of the proposal is the pharmaceutical industry, which is eager to sell the psychotropic drugs that undoubtedly will be prescribed to millions of American schoolchildren under the new screening program. Of course a tiny minority of children suffer from legitimate mental illnesses, but the widespread use of Ritalin and other drugs on youngsters who simply exhibit typical rambunctious, fidgety, and impatient behavior is nothing short of criminal. It may be easier to teach and parent drugged kids, but convenience is no justification for endangering them. Children’s brains are still developing, and the truth is we have no idea what the long-term side effects of psychiatric drugs may be. Medical science has not even exhaustively identified every possible brain chemical, even as we alter those chemicals with drugs.
Dr. Karen Effrem, a physician who strongly opposes mandatory mental health screening, warns us that “America’s children should not be medicated by expensive, ineffective, and dangerous medications based on vague and dubious diagnoses.” She points out that psychiatric diagnoses are inherently subjective, as authors of the diagnostic manuals admit. She also is concerned that mental health screening could be used to label children whose attitudes, religious beliefs, and political views conflict with the secular orthodoxy that dominates our schools.
The greater issue, however, is not whether youth mental health screening is appropriate. The real issue is whether the state owns your kids. When the government orders “universal” mental health screening in schools, it really means “mandatory.” Parents, children, and their private doctors should decide whether a child has mental health problems, not government bureaucrats. That this even needs to be stated is a sign of just how obedient our society has become toward government. What kind of free people would turn their children’s most intimate health matters over to government strangers? How in the world have we allowed government to become so powerful and arrogant that it assumes it can force children to accept psychiatric treatment whether parents object or not?
Parents must do everything possible to retain responsibility and control over their children’s well-being. There is no end to the bureaucratic appetite to rule every aspect of our lives, including how we raise our children. Forced mental health screening is just the latest of many state usurpations of parental authority: compulsory education laws, politically-correct school curricula, mandatory vaccines, and interference with discipline through phony “social services” agencies all represent assaults on families. The political right has now joined the political left in seeking the de facto nationalization of children, and only informed resistance by parents can stop it. The federal government is slowly but surely destroying real families, but it is hardly a benevolent surrogate parent.

I know we’re all telling everyone who will listen to vote but please also make sure to tell everyone to double check where they should be voting. Some states require an ID to vote. Other states scrubbed the voting rolls buy removing people who haven’t voted in a while. There’s a cut off period so get this done. If you haven’t checked any of this and you get there and can’t vote then it’s on you. Let’s get it together.

Also i am from Louisiana and I have seen the Fema trailer parks, but i dont feel sorry for them. You will see a fema trailer, with a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe parked on side of it. I am not saying everyone but i know alot of N.O. people who have blew thousands of dollars. I have family who lived in new orleans, my brother got $75,000 from Road home to rebuild his house. He bought 2 new cars and trying to invest in a club, while his house in still in disrepair. His mother in law, got over $30,000 and wasted in on trips and good weed but now at this point she is looking for an apartment to rent.
I am just a firm believer that if you can get it yourself you dont need it. Edward Mandell House
The Council on Foreign Relations was founded in 1921 by Edward Mandell House, who had been the chief advisor of President Woodrow Wilson. Actually, he was more than just a prominent aide of the President; he dominated the President. He was referred to as Wilson’s “alter ego” (other self), and was credited for being the most powerful individual in the United States during the Wilson Administration from 1913 until 1921.
House was a Marxist whose goal was to socialize the United States. In 1912, House wrote the book “Philip Dru: Administrator” in which he stated that he was working for “Socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx.” In this book, House laid out a plan for the conquest of America, telling how both the Democratic and Republican Parties would be controlled, and be used as instruments in the creation of a socialistic government. And he asked for the establishment of a state-controlled central bank, which were both proposed in “The Communist Manifesto”. And it was in 1913, during the very first year of the House-dominated Wilson Administration, that both of these proposals became law. The Federal Reserve Act was passed, which brought into power a private central bank to create the money of the United States, taking this power away from the united States Congress. And the 16th Amendment to the United States Constitution, the graduated income tax as proposed by Karl Marx, was also ratified.

In 1921, House and his friends formed the Council on Foreign Relations whose purpose right from its conception was to destroy the freedom and independence of the United States, and to lead the country into a one-world government.
Right from its beginning, in 1921, the CFR began to attract men of power and influence. In the late 1920’s, important financing for the CFR came from the Rockefeller Foundation and the Carnegie Foundation. In 1940, at the invitation of President Roosevelt, members of the CFR gained domination over the State Department, and they have maintained this domination ever since.

Susan Molinari, another member of the steering committee of women for McCain, made $300,000 lobbying for Hyundai in 2001 and 2002.
“When John McCain tells Michigan voters that their jobs aren’t coming back, he’s apparently speaking with inside information,” said David Donnelly, director of Campaign Money Watch. “He is receiving fundraising help and advice from a half dozen lobbyists who have also made millions working for foreign car manufacturers.”
All of the entities that these advisers and aides lobbied for were U.S. subsidiaries of foreign manufacturers. And both of these companies have thousands of American-based employees. In all likelihood, McCain’s cars were built in the United States and not overseas. But domestic car companies, and the workers they employ, are naturally skittish of the foreign competition. And as the Obama campaign signaled this morning, they will take advantage of any potential to shift votes in Michigan. As such, it would not be a huge surprise to see the Illinois Democrat point out the lobbyist connections that McCain has to these foreign producers.

So, John McCain has reportedly paid more than $5,500 to Tifanie White, the makeup artist who works on “American Idol,” for similar cosmetic services. It is yet another incident of a politician — regardless of ideological stripe — coughing up a lot of money for the sake of good looks.
Earlier this cycle, one may recall, former Sen. John Edwards was subjected to days of ridicule over the fact that he had made two separate payments of $400 for two haircuts. Leading the charge was the media — keen on pointing out that a self-professed man of the people was spending the equivalent of a months rent, in some places, on personal grooming. The Associated Press ran a story that began: “Looking pretty is costing John Edwards’ presidential campaign a lot of pennies.”
But several high-ranking and prominent conservatives were also leveling the mockery. Rush Limbaugh asked whether the North Carolinian would be our nation’s “first female President.”
Mike Huckabee quipped that Democrats had the propensity to spend “more than John Edwards in a beauty shop.”
The Republican National Committee put together a document calling Edwards a “pricey haircut enthusiast” and declaring that “the former North Carolina senator’s populist drive has hit a series of troubling land mines” because of his two expenditures.
And Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) went to New Hampshire and, in a dig at Edwards, got a $400 haircut of his own. The normal price was $17; the difference between the amounts was given to charity.
So now that McCain has spent 13 times as much on makeup as Edwards did on haircuts, will we be hearing from these folks again? Undoubtedly, no.
Republican officials have been caught ponying up big bucks for superficial items before — Mitt Romney spent $300 on makeup during the primary — and little has been made of it. And while McCain has taken lumps for the number of houses he owns (or for forgetting how many houses he owns), the fact remains that the media sees more contradiction when it is a populist politician making these types of payments. Pollster Mark Mellman’s declaration in the wake of the Edwards haircut flap seems still valid today:
“Voters vote mainly on who the person is. He’s trying to communicate a message about who he is, a person who does not forget where he comes from… The haircut issue is significant in that context; it cuts against the story.”

It has emerged that Obama’s press entourage were not informed of his secret meeting with Hillary Clinton in Northern Virginia until they were literally locked inside a plane that was taxiing down the runway on its way to Chicago.
The press reacted angrily to the way in which Obama’s campaign organizers covered up the meeting, which is now suspected by many to have been planned in conjunction with the secretive 2008 Bilderberg Group meeting of around 140 corporate and political luminaries.
Reporters were duped into believing that they were getting on a plane back to the campaign headquarters in Chicago with the presumptive nominee, while in reality Obama’s motorcade instead sped off in secrecy to Northern Virginia.
“Why were we not told about this meeting until we were on the plane, the doors were shut and the plane was about to taxi to take off?” one reporter asked Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs in a heated exchange that was caught on camera by CNN.
“Senator Obama had a desire to do some meetings, others had a desire to meet with him tonight in a private way and that is what we are doing.” Gibbs replied.
“Is there more than one meeting, is there more than one person with whom he is meeting” asked another reporter.
“I am not going to get into all the details of the meeting.” Gibbs fired back.

Gibbs denied that the secret meetings were planned beforehand and indicated Obama’s attendance was a last minute rearrangement.
“There was a desire to do some meetings tonight, he was interested in doing them, others were interested in doing them, and to do them in a way that was private.” Gibbs repeated.
“If the president goes bike riding, we go with him. If he goes out to dinner or goes to visit a friend three blocks up the road, we go with him in the motorcade,” another reporter told Gibbs. “That’s the expectation in a general election, and that’s the way it’s been with previous candidates…That’s the way it is done.”

“You could tell the media you’re having a private meeting and give them the option of not getting on the plane.” came another comment. Of course, had this transpired, the media would most probably have connected the location of the Obama/Hillary meeting with that of the Bilderberg group.
The last thing the Bilderberg elite would have wanted was a confused and inquisitive mob of journalists at their Marriott hotel doorstep, along with scores of protesters and alternative media reporters such as Infowars’ Alex Jones, American Free Press Editor Jim Tucker and We Are Change’s Luke Rudkowski.
Following an unusual solitary press release this morning, a full list of the attendees of this year’s Bilderberg meeting has been released. It would hardly be surprising to find Obama and Clinton rubbing shoulders with the likes of Condoleeza Rice, Fed chairman Ben Bernanke, former White House advisor Richard Perle and former Deputy Secretary of Defense and President of the World Bank Paul Wolfowitz.
Also in attendance is Bilderberg luminary and top corporate elitist James A. Johnson, who, as we reported last month, will select Obama’s running mate for the 2008 election and in turn potentially act as kingmaker for America’s future President.
It is now seems increasingly likely that the secret meetings with Bilderberg this weekend will herald the decision to name Hillary Clinton as Obama’s VP candidate.

According to news reports, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton went out of their way to hold their long-awaited private meeting in a very specific location – not at Hillary’s mansion in Washington – but in Northern Virginia, which also just happens to be the scene of the 2008 Bilderberg meeting.
Obama’s spokesman Robert Gibbs told the media that Obama and Clinton held a private meeting last night but he refused to disclose where it taken place, except that it was not at Clinton’s home in Washington, as had been widely reported. Hillary campaign managers also refused to disclose the location of the rendezvous.
“Reporters traveling with Obama sensed something might be happening between the pair when they arrived at Dulles International Airport after an event in Northern Virginia and Obama was not aboard the airplane,” reports the Associated Press.
Dulles just happens to be walking distance from the Westfields Marriott hotel in Chantilly where Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller and the rest of the Bilderberg globalists are convening.

“Asked at the time about the Illinois senator’s whereabouts, Gibbs smiled and declined to comment,” the reports adds.
What is the only political “event” taking place in Northern Virginia at the moment? The Bilderberg Group meeting of course. Rather than taking the easier option of meeting at Clinton’s Washington mansion, Obama and Hillary went out of their way to grace the Bilderberg elitists with their presence.
The neo-liberal website Wonkette, which had previously ridiculed “conspiracy theorists” for ascribing power to Bilderberg, seemed to take a somewhat different tone when it made the connection between Obama and Hillary’s meeting and the Bilderberg Group.
“Guess who had a very private talky-talk in (maybe) romantic Northern Virginia tonight, probably at the Bilderberg Group meeting in Chantilly? Your Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton!,” states the blog. “They really met and talked, in private, Thursday night. And really, it sounds like they did this at that creepy Bilderberg Group meeting, which is happening now, and which is so secret that nobody will admit they’re going, even though everybody who is anybody goes to Bilderberg.”
To have the potential future President and Vice-President of America attend a conference that debunkers have dismissed as a mere talking shop for old white men once again underscores the real influence that Bilderberg enjoys.
Not one U.S. corporate media outlet has made the connection between the location of the Bilderberg Group conference this year and Obama and Hillary’s decision to venture out to Chantilly for their confidential “tet a tet”.
Not one U.S. corporate media outlet has yet uttered one word about 125 of the world’s most influential power brokers meeting behind closed doors to discuss the future of the planet on U.S. soil – while being met by the probable future President of the United States.
Both Hillary and Obama have deep rooted connections to the Bilderberg elitists.
Bill Clinton attended the 1991 meeting in Germany shortly before becoming President and he attended again in 1999 when the conference was held in Sintra, Portugal (despite Clinton’s lie that he had not attended in 15 years).
Hillary herself was rumored to have attended the 2006 meeting in Ottawa, Canada.
As we reported last month, Bilderberg luminary and top corporate elitist James A. Johnson will select Democratic candidate Barack Obama’s running mate for the 2008 election and in turn potentially act as kingmaker for America’s future President.
Johnson also selected John Kerry’s running mate John Edwards in 2004 after Edwards had impressed Bilderberg elitists Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller with a speech he gave at the globalist confab in Italy that year.
Johnson, who attended last year’s Bilderberg meeting in Turkey, is a representative for Friends of Bilderberg, an offshoot group that organizes Bilderberg’s annual meeting.

McCain suspends campaign to work on Wall Street plan

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Republican presidential candidate John McCain said on Wednesday he will break off from campaigning to help on a Wall Street rescue plan and asked that a Friday debate with Democrat Barack Obama be postponed.
McCain, in a statement to reporters, said he would suspend his campaign on Thursday to return to Washington.
He added he did not believe the Bush administration’s proposed legislation on a $700 billion bailout plan for the financial industry would pass the U.S. Congress in its current form.
McCain, an Arizona senator, called on Obama to join him in working together on a plan and said he had spoken to the Democrat about doing so. He said a consensus agreement on a bailout plan is needed by the time the financial markets open on Monday.
Obama, an Illinois senator, planned to make a statement on the issue shortly.
“It’s time for both parties to come together to solve this problem,” McCain said. “We must meet as Americans, not as Democrats or Republicans, and we must meet until this crisis is resolved.”
The Bush administration is pushing the plan hard in Congress. The White House welcomed McCain’s announcement.
Dana Perino said, “We are making progress in negotiations on the financial markets rescue legislation, but we have not finished it yet.”
McCain’s dramatic move, aimed at projecting leadership during the greatest U.S. financial crisis since the Great Depression, came at a time when Americans have been telling pollsters they believed Obama could handle the economy better than McCain.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said Obama had called McCain on Wednesday morning to ask if he would join him in issuing a joint statement aimed at taking a bipartisan approach to the endangered $700 billion bailout.
The aim, said Burton, would be to act in a bipartisan manner to pass a proposal.
“At 2:30 this afternoon, Senator McCain returned Senator Obama’s call and agreed to join him in issuing such a statement. The two campaigns are currently working together on the details,” Burton said.
McCain urged President George W. Bush to call for a bipartisan meeting of congressional leaders, including him and Obama, to try to find an agreement.
The debate scheduled on Friday in Oxford, Mississippi, is supposed to be the first of three face-to-face sessions between McCain and Obama, who face off in the presidential election on November 4.
“I am directing my campaign to work with the Obama campaign and the Commission on Presidential Debates to delay Friday night’s debate until we have taken action to address this crisis,” McCain said.
McCain said it was essential to pass legislation to deal with what he called a “historic crisis.”
“If we do not, credit will dry up, with devastating consequences for our economy. People will no longer be able to buy homes and their life savings will be at stake,” he said.
McCain senior adviser Mark Salter said the campaign suspension would include pulling McCain’s television ads.

A Background to Bilderberg
Sunday, June 8, 2008, marked the last day of this year’s annual Bilderberg meeting, which took place in Chantilly, Virginia. The American Friends of Bilderberg, an American Bilderberg front group, which organizes the American participant list for the annual Bilderberg conference, issued a rare press release this year. It stated that, “The Conference will deal mainly with a nuclear free world, cyber terrorism, Africa, Russia, finance, protectionism, US-EU relations, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Islam and Iran. Approximately 140 participants will attend.”1
Bilderberg, which has been meeting annually since 1954, is a highly secretive international think tank and some say, policy-forming group made up of representatives from North America and Western Europe and was founded by Joseph Retinger, Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and Belgian Prime Minister Paul Van Zeeland. The Bilderberg Steering Committee, made up of around 30 people, (with no official list available), “decided that it would invite 100 of the most powerful people in Europe and North America every year to meet behind closed doors at a different five-star resort. The group stresses secrecy: What’s said at a Bilderberg conference stays at a Bilderberg conference.”2
Usually, the Bilderberg Conference is held in Europe for three years in a row, with the fourth year holding a meeting in North America. However, the previous North American conference was held in 2006 in Ottawa. So why did they break tradition to hold the conference in North America this year? Speculation abounds around a discussion of a possible attack on Iran, the American-centered global financial crisis, as well as the current US Presidential elections.
First Meeting of the Bilderberg in 1954
Bilderberg has long been an important forum for up-and-coming politicians of Western nations to be introduced to the global financial elite; the heads of the major multinational corporations, international banks, world financial institutions, global governing bodies, think tanks, and powerful individuals of the likes of David Rockefeller and various European monarchs, including Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, daughter of founding member, Prince Bernhard, as well as Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos of Spain.
According to The Globe and Mail, such Canadian Prime Ministers have, in the past, (often before becoming Prime Minister), attended a Bilderberg Conference as a guest, including Pierre Trudeau, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin and Stephen Harper.3 Tony Blair attended Bilderberg before becoming Prime Minister,4 as did the current British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, who also recently called for the establishment of a “new world order.”5
Interestingly, as the Washington Post reported, Vernon E. Jordon, a high-powered American executive, who sits on several corporate boards, including American Express, Xerox, J.C. Penney, Dow Jones, and Sara Lee, to name a few, also happens to be a very close friend of former President Bill Clinton. However, “it was Jordan who first introduced then-Gov. Clinton to world leaders at their annual Bilderberg gathering in Germany in 1991. Plenty of governors try to make that scene; only Clinton got taken seriously at that meeting, because Vernon Jordan said he was okay.”6 Clinton subsequently became President.
Barack and Bilderberg
Recently, there has been much discussion about Barack Obama having possibly attended the recent Bilderberg conference in Virginia. This speculation arose when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton sneaked off for a secretive meeting while in Virginia. As the AP reported, “Reporters traveling with Obama sensed something might be happening between the pair when they arrived at Dulles International Airport after an event in Northern Virginia and Obama was not aboard the airplane. Asked at the time about the Illinois senator’s whereabouts, [Obama spokesman Robert] Gibbs smiled and declined to comment.”7
The press that had been traveling with Obama were not made aware of the secretive meeting until the plane that they assumed Obama would be present on was moving down the runway, prompting many angry questions from the press towards Obama’s spokesman, Robert Gibbs. One reported asked Gibbs, “Why were we not told about this meeting until we were on the plane, the doors were shut and the plane was about to taxi to take off?” to which he responded, “Senator Obama had a desire to do some meetings, others had a desire to meet with him tonight in a private way and that is what we are doing.” This preceded another question, “Is there more than one meeting, is there more than one person with whom he is meeting?” Gibbs simply replied, “I am not going to get into all the details of the meeting.” He again later repeated that, “There was a desire to do some meetings tonight, he was interested in doing them, others were interested in doing them, and to do them in a way that was private.”8
On Friday, June 6, it was reported that Bilderberg tracker, Jim Tucker, “called Obama’s office today to ask if he had attended Bilderberg. A campaign spokeswoman refused to discuss the matter but would not deny that Obama had attended Bilderberg.”9
Bilderberg to Pick Obama’s Vice President
As the Financial Times reported in May of this year, Barack Obama appointed James A. Johnson, the former CEO of Fannie Mae, “to head a secret committee to produce a shortlist for his vice-presidential running mate.” A short list was discussed by the article, which listed, other than Hillary Clinton, “Jim Webb, the former secretary of the navy, Vietnam veteran and senator for Virginia; Tim Kaine, the governor of Virginia; John Edwards, the former vice-presidential candidate in 2004; Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio; and Kathleen Sebelius, the governor of Kansas.” Other potential nominees include “Sam Nunn, the former chairman of the Senate armed services committee; and Wesley Clark, the former head of Nato in Europe.”10
James A. Johnson, the man Obama asked to pick his running mate, played the same role for John Kerry back in 2004, and he selected John Edwards. As the New York Times reported, “Several people pointed to the secretive and exclusive Bilderberg conference of some 120 people that this year drew the likes of Henry A. Kissinger, Melinda Gates and Richard A. Perle to Stresa, Italy, in early June, as helping [Edwards] win Mr. Kerry’s heart. Mr. Edwards spoke so well in a debate on American politics with the Republican Ralph Reed that participants broke Bilderberg rules to clap before the end of the session.” The Times further reported, “His performance at Bilderberg was important,” said a friend of Mr. Kerry who was there. ”He reported back directly to Kerry. There were other reports on his performance. Whether they reported directly or indirectly, I have no doubt the word got back to Mr. Kerry about how well he did.”11
James A. Johnson, Vice Chairman of Perseus, a merchant banking firm, is also a director of Goldman Sachs, Forestar Real Estate Group, Inc., KB Home, Target Corporation and UnitedHealth Group Inc., is also a member of the American Friends of Bilderberg, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and is an honorary trustee of the Brookings Institution.12 It is likely that Obama’s running mate will be chosen by Johnson at this years Bilderberg Conference.
Notable among this year’s Bilderberg guests are Kansas Governor, Kathleen Sebelius, who the Financial Times reported was on Johnson’s short list of nominees. In fact, Sebelius is the only person mentioned as a possible running mate in the Financial Times article that was officially listed on the Bilderberg list of attendees.13 Could this be a sign that she may be the chosen one? Time will tell. However, another Democratic politician present at the meeting was Tom Daschle, so perhaps he is working his way back into politics.
Don’t Forget McCain
Just because Obama’s popularity dwarfs that of McCain’s, is not reason enough to ignore the other candidate. After all, the elite never ignore both candidates, and in fact, ensure they have them both neatly packed in their back pockets. Among the guests at the Bilderberg meeting this year, included Republican Governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford, as well as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice,14 which would be a smart political pick for McCain, going up against the first black presidential candidate.
McCain has also received endorsements from former Secretaries of State, Henry Kissinger, General Alexander Haig, Lawrence Eagleburger and George P. Shultz.15 These are not men without influence, as Henry Kissinger and George Shultz were also present at this years meeting.16 Also interesting to note is that George P. Shultz “associated himself with the Bush presidency early on, introducing the Texas governor to Condoleezza Rice at the Hoover Institution in 1998.” Could Condi be in the process of being groomed for higher office, or is she simply at the meeting for foreign policy discussions?
Also important to note, is that McCain had a fundraiser in London held for him, which was hosted “by kind permission of Lord Rothschild OM GBE [Order of Merit and the Knight Grand Cross of the British Empire] and the Hon Nathaniel Rothschild.” As the Washington Post reported, “Tickets to the invitation-only event cost $1,000 to $2,300.”18 The Post later reported, “Aides refused to talk about the fundraiser, or to say how much money was raised, and McCain dashed through the rain away from reporters after emerging. One guest said there were about 100 people at the luncheon. If they all gave the maximum, the event would have raised about $230,000 for the campaign.”19

I’ve been watching FOX News, and they confirmed that the debate is cancelled. Obama wants the debate to continue as scheduled. The media is awaiting Obama’s response, and he’s suppose to address these issues at 4:45 pm. I was really looking forward to the debate.

Recently, there has been much discussion about Barack Obama having possibly attended the recent Bilderberg conference in Virginia. This speculation arose when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton sneaked off for a secretive meeting while in Virginia. As the AP reported, “Reporters traveling with Obama sensed something might be happening between the pair when they arrived at Dulles International Airport after an event in Northern Virginia and Obama was not aboard the airplane. Asked at the time about the Illinois senator’s whereabouts, [Obama spokesman Robert] Gibbs smiled and declined to comment.”7
The press that had been traveling with Obama were not made aware of the secretive meeting until the plane that they assumed Obama would be present on was moving down the runway, prompting many angry questions from the press towards Obama’s spokesman, Robert Gibbs. One reported asked Gibbs, “Why were we not told about this meeting until we were on the plane, the doors were shut and the plane was about to taxi to take off?” to which he responded, “Senator Obama had a desire to do some meetings, others had a desire to meet with him tonight in a private way and that is what we are doing.” This preceded another question, “Is there more than one meeting, is there more than one person with whom he is meeting?” Gibbs simply replied, “I am not going to get into all the details of the meeting.” He again later repeated that, “There was a desire to do some meetings tonight, he was interested in doing them, others were interested in doing them, and to do them in a way that was private.”8
On Friday, June 6, it was reported that Bilderberg tracker, Jim Tucker, “called Obama’s office today to ask if he had attended Bilderberg. A campaign spokeswoman refused to discuss the matter but would not deny that Obama had attended Bilderberg.”9
Bilderberg to Pick Obama’s Vice President
As the Financial Times reported in May of this year, Barack Obama appointed James A. Johnson, the former CEO of Fannie Mae, “to head a secret committee to produce a shortlist for his vice-presidential running mate.” A short list was discussed by the article, which listed, other than Hillary Clinton, “Jim Webb, the former secretary of the navy, Vietnam veteran and senator for Virginia; Tim Kaine, the governor of Virginia; John Edwards, the former vice-presidential candidate in 2004; Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio; and Kathleen Sebelius, the governor of Kansas.” Other potential nominees include “Sam Nunn, the former chairman of the Senate armed services committee; and Wesley Clark, the former head of Nato in Europe.”10
James A. Johnson, the man Obama asked to pick his running mate, played the same role for John Kerry back in 2004, and he selected John Edwards. As the New York Times reported, “Several people pointed to the secretive and exclusive Bilderberg conference of some 120 people that this year drew the likes of Henry A. Kissinger, Melinda Gates and Richard A. Perle to Stresa, Italy, in early June, as helping [Edwards] win Mr. Kerry’s heart. Mr. Edwards spoke so well in a debate on American politics with the Republican Ralph Reed that participants broke Bilderberg rules to clap before the end of the session.” The Times further reported, “His performance at Bilderberg was important,” said a friend of Mr. Kerry who was there. ”He reported back directly to Kerry. There were other reports on his performance. Whether they reported directly or indirectly, I have no doubt the word got back to Mr. Kerry about how well he did.”11
James A. Johnson, Vice Chairman of Perseus, a merchant banking firm, is also a director of Goldman Sachs, Forestar Real Estate Group, Inc., KB Home, Target Corporation and UnitedHealth Group Inc., is also a member of the American Friends of Bilderberg, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and is an honorary trustee of the Brookings Institution.12 It is likely that Obama’s running mate will be chosen by Johnson at this years Bilderberg Conference.
Notable among this year’s Bilderberg guests are Kansas Governor, Kathleen Sebelius, who the Financial Times reported was on Johnson’s short list of nominees. In fact, Sebelius is the only person mentioned as a possible running mate in the Financial Times article that was officially listed on the Bilderberg list of attendees.13 Could this be a sign that she may be the chosen one? Time will tell. However, another Democratic politician present at the meeting was Tom Daschle, so perhaps he is working his way back into politics.
Don’t Forget McCain
Just because Obama’s popularity dwarfs that of McCain’s, is not reason enough to ignore the other candidate. After all, the elite never ignore both candidates, and in fact, ensure they have them both neatly packed in their back pockets. Among the guests at the Bilderberg meeting this year, included Republican Governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford, as well as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice,14 which would be a smart political pick for McCain, going up against the first black presidential candidate.
McCain has also received endorsements from former Secretaries of State, Henry Kissinger, General Alexander Haig, Lawrence Eagleburger and George P. Shultz.15 These are not men without influence, as Henry Kissinger and George Shultz were also present at this years meeting.16 Also interesting to note is that George P. Shultz “associated himself with the Bush presidency early on, introducing the Texas governor to Condoleezza Rice at the Hoover Institution in 1998.” Could Condi be in the process of being groomed for higher office, or is she simply at the meeting for foreign policy discussions?
Also important to note, is that McCain had a fundraiser in London held for him, which was hosted “by kind permission of Lord Rothschild OM GBE [Order of Merit and the Knight Grand Cross of the British Empire] and the Hon Nathaniel Rothschild.” As the Washington Post reported, “Tickets to the invitation-only event cost $1,000 to $2,300.”18 The Post later reported, “Aides refused to talk about the fundraiser, or to say how much money was raised, and McCain dashed through the rain away from reporters after emerging. One guest said there were about 100 people at the luncheon. If they all gave the maximum, the event would have raised about $230,000 for the campaign.”19
Obama believes the debate should continue…as it should. Instead of focusing on foreign relations during the debates the should focus on the economic crisis.

Obama thinks that we should continue the debate as scheduled. He said, ‘American voters needed to hear the candidates’ views “now more than ever.”
McCain is just attempting to draw the attention away from himself and the dip in the polls as the bailout and the economic crisis heeds the voters . He is attempting to show America and the world that he puts ‘country first.’

I don’t agree with a lot of Obama’s veiws, but even less of McCain’s. I am not crazy about socialized healthcare, but I do think insurance companies should be regulated because they are nothing but crooks. Neither of these candidates address the issues that will bring America back (1) blocking illegal aliens who are taking jobs (without paying taxes), and bringing various diseases here with them (they are not immunized against many diseases), and getting healthcare through ER and then not paying the bill which is really costing American taxpayers (2) Stopping American companies from leaving the U.S. to get products manufactured cheap, only to ship them back to Americans for us to buy at full price (they are taking jobs away)—if you make them there go ahead and sell them there (3) Importing all these dangerous products from China, who by the way hates Americans. I am convinced that whoever becomes president, won’t make much of an impact. Add that to the fact that America is in turmoil already and I don’t think much will change. I do think Obama brings more positives than McCain however.

but this comment sucks. AFRICAN TRIBES did not sell their own in the sense that you are alluding to. I think it is very irresponsible that we keep passing around this misconception that the white man has gleefully passed down to us as a deterrent for his unforgivable role in the slave trade. Look, the slave trade was MEANT to be no different than what we look at as ‘housekeeping’ today. You know, just like how most of our housekeepers in hotels and office buildings are hispanics who have travelled over here to WORK for a better pay than they can get in their own countries?
Well the Africans who sold other Africans into slavery were selling their POW’s, not their fellow tribesman. You know, it’s kinda like now what we do with our prisoners by having them make license plates and such? Once the racist abuse and intentions of the whites and hispanics were revealed our African brothers and sisters REFUSED to sell their POW’s and that is when the whites proceeded to travel to their shorelines and steal the unsuspecting actual tribesman of the Africans who sold their enemies. People not voting, letting Bush get in office twice, people letting senators and house reps stay in of 20+ years, people voting for other people because they are black, white,etc. people not voting for other becasue they are black, white, etc. I am guilty of this also, for comming to this silly ass site, but we rather see whats going on in a celebrity life instead shit that really matters, because bossip aint no place for a debate. like i say people complain about spending $100 a month on health care, but will spend $100 a month on cell phone bills. i know a chick who spent $500 on a iphone and she cant even pay her phone bill. Yes i agree that healthcare insurance should be regulated but it is not really that expensive if you think about it. $1200 a year/$100 a month/ $4 dollars a day to ensure you are covered in case you get sick. I know niggaz with Escalades that have no insurance.
If you cant afford insurance and you get sick, take yo ass to the ER like you suppose to, they will not turn you away that have to treat you, but thats not enough you rather have a insurance card to go to any hospital and to fill it up and make a person like myself who have insurance wait in line behind yo ass with none. hell no!
