He’s happy, we think…
GQ UK Names Pharrell Williams “Solo Artist Of The Year”
Via GQ-UK
Pharrell’s just shy of 40, but he’s still managed to produce a brace of worldwide No.1 hits with “Get Lucky” and “Blurred Lines”, both of which sold over a million copies in the UK. All following a career with the Neptunes that saw him crest the charts a decade earlier.
Achievements that must have called for industrial reinforcements to his mantelpiece – as well a grand total of four Oscar nominations, Williams has won four Grammys this year alone, adding to collection of seven other international accolades. Make that eight.
“I know you guys are, like, ‘enough – we get it, you’re happy’. I don’t really deserve best solo artist. My team, my friends and my family deserve this award because it was a collective effort. I also want to take this moment to acknowledge Yves Carcelle,” says Pharrell.
Skateboard P also posed for a face-painted photoshoot that we sure many Native Americans will find offensive and insensitive…again. SMH.
