Here is Nelly performing in Florida last night. We know you broads think he’s fine and all, but his album didn’t move any units:
Nelly capped his long hiatus with a disappointing No. 3 start for Brass Knuckles, his first new album in four years, which moved a relatively meager 84,000. His last albums, 2004’s simultaneously released Sweat and Suit, debuted in the top two spots with a combined 738,000 first-week copies.

Can we please stop using album sales as a relevant measure of an arist success. AlBUM SALES are all PR and Marketing THAT IS IT! Ain’t to many people gone crack 100,000 these days. Its just the way it is. Times have changed. INTERNET -> Mp3 File sharing Programs -> Itunes -> = low album sales regardless.

I knew the album was not going to do well. He had released to many singles off of it before it even came out. And not one of those singles was banging. You know somebody album not going to do well when that starts happening, ***** look at 50 cent. He had about 4 singles out before he relased his album and that ***** tanked.

first week sales are not always the best measure of how an album will do in the long term. some artist have done good numbers their first week and went on to flop. Then some artists have had low first week sales and over the year moved enough un***** to get platinum.
platinum is awesome these days with the way hip hop is doing. even Jay-Z’s sales have been down for his last two albums and will probably be down for his next album, Blueprint 3.
ALL artists and musicions have had low sales in their career at some point. it happens to almost everybody.
Jay-Z has low sales cause he need to stay retire. That American Gangsta album was not happening. He sounds good on other tracks, but his own tracks right now, not. Nelly just didn’t have no kinda of buzz. That cheesey ***** song “Hey girl what’s your name” or something like that was whack. That song with Fergie was whack, hell she sound it better rapping them him. The song with Ciara, I have never heard it on the radio down here. And that new song with Akon, booooooooooooooo. All these singles and still can’t sell. He better try to come harder and put Lil Wayne on a track or something.

GOPcandidate Sen. John McCain left Washington for Mississippi to attend Friday night’s debate.
1 of 2 McCain said earlier this week he would not attend the debate if an agreement had not been reached on a $700 billion bailout plan for Wall Street.
The outcome was up in the air Friday as lawmakers scrambled to agree on a plan.
But by midday, McCain’s campaign said the Republican presidential nominee believed enough progress had been made for him to travel to Mississippi to parti*****te in the debate, set for 9 p.m. ET at the University of Mississippi campus.
“He is optimistic that there has been significant progress toward a bipartisan agreement now that there is a framework for all parties to be represented in negotiations, including Rep. [Roy] Blunt as a designated negotiator for House Republicans,” the campaign said in a statement.
“The McCain campaign is resuming all activities and the senator will travel to the debate this afternoon.”
Both presidential candidates — McCain and Obama — returned to Washington Thursday to parti*****te in talks over the bailout package.
