Actor Brandon Smith Becomes Becomes First "Skating With The Stars" Cast Injury

You probably didn’t pay attention, but “Skating with The Stars,” ABC’s desperate attempt to make more money off of the “Dancing With The Stars” phenomenon, debuted two weeks ago. We didn’t think it was a great idea. And we were right.

TMZ reports the first of probably man “stars” on the show was rushed to the hospital today.

“Skating with the Stars” contestant Brandon Smith was taken to a hospital moments ago after having difficulty breathing while on set … TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ … a 911 call was made from the CBS lot in L.A. — where the “Skating” set is located — at 11:43 AM PT.

We’re told Smith — who stars in “Sonny with a Chance” with Demi Lovato — was having difficulty breathing and had to be taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Sources connected with the show tell TMZ Brandon had a stomach virus when he arrived on set today — and it’s unclear if he’ll be able to skate during tonight’s show.

Dang! Rough year to be a Disney kid!

On a better note though, now we have a reason to pay attention to this show: to see which C/D-lister gets hurt next.
