Hey there stans, here is a lil bit of info concerning your girl Bey and her new album:
The singer’s new album was due at her label Wednesday morning in order to make an announced Nov. 18 release date, but insiders tell us there have been problems. “It’s not going to be completed,” said a source close to folks who’ve been working on the CD. “She’s got to get it out early in the fourth quarter, when there’s so much competition among artists.” Part of the delay may be due to Beyoncé’s busy-than-ever acting schedule. The beauty spent months filming “Cadillac Records,” in which she plays Etta James, and she’s also working on the psychological thriller “Obsessed.” Another time-consumer was a duet with Justin Timberlake – the source says the two didn’t like the way it was turning out and kept doing it over until they got it right. Plus, “She clashes with Max Gousse, her father’s guy who’s involved.”
Beyoncé’s dad, Matthew Knowles, asked us, rhetorically, “How would he not be involved? He’s the vice president of my company, and she’s recording with my company.” And Gousse is the man who convinced her to record Ne-Yo’s “Irreplaceable” – which became her biggest hit to date. Still, the source counters, “Jay-Z encouraged Beyoncé to bring in Jay Brown and Ty Ty [Tyran Smith]” – both of whom have worked with red-hot singer Rihanna. Beyoncé will release two singles, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies,” this Tuesday. The chief of Sony BMG Music, Rob Stringer, got on the phone last week to tell us, “She has an enormous number of very talented people doing whatever they can to make it the best record possible. “Normally I would lie low, but we think the first two singles will be utterly huge. They’re two of the best songs of her career. Beyoncé is incredibly hardworking, and [the album] is 97%-98% done. It’ll be out before Nov. 20. Frankly, we think the whole record is going to be huge.”

I think with the new technology that artist aren’t going to be able to “live off” of one or two good albums…. It will force them to hone their craft if they expect people to buy the entire album like they used to.

Yes..but Beyonce had a very sucessful album before b-day so she could afford to make a dvd filled with videos of her song…I am just not for re-releasing albums twice to me I feel they are ripping off the consumers because they knew that they wanted to re-release and album before they released it the first time..its like sxyq said it depends on the targeted album..its no secret that the only people buying albums are teens and white people..thats her target market so of course they are going to love her..but truth be told talent is very scarce in the industry right now and I find it highly offensive for them to put out garbage they call albums and expect everyone to clammer to stores to purchase them or better yet flood the radio with redundant music…they were very lazy when they made like 5 songs off of the same beat used for irreplaceable and people bought right into it

True. I thought that B-Day was re-released as well to get her sales up. I don’t own either album but I understand what you’re saying about re-releasing. I also agree that there is very little talent in the industry right now and the ones that do have the talent aren’t getting the same push as the others. Joe and Rob both mentioned this to me in the past week, and now several readers have brought it up. I also just noticed that Atrios picked up on this too today. Something wrong, changed, droopy or puffy with McCain’s left eye. Anybody else notice anything? I just searched Google a bit more and found references to his eye being droopy in April and May of this year as well. But whatever it is, it seems to be intermittent. (McCain has had 4 bouts of melanoma, and did in 2002 have a benign growth removed from under his left eye.)
I decided to take a look at McCain’s Herbert Hoover Speech, as Rob calls the economic speech McCain gave last Friday in Wisconsin, and tried to see what it was that Rob was noticing wrong with McCain’s left eye. It was only a 15 second video, so I pulled it up in my iMovie movie editor and checked out each frame (see a selection of still shots above). What you see is apparently McCain’s left eye more closed than this right, and/or when he blinks, his left eye is lazier, or blinks slightly out of phase with his right. Either way, it does look like something’s up. Perhaps McCain has always had a bad left eye, though it’s odd that so many people just noticed this week.
Actually, there’s one more thing. A reader wrote me about a week ago, commenting on how suddenly McCain’s make up had changed. As though the campaign was suddenly trying to hide something. I read the email, kind of shrugged, and went on my way. Well, today that reader wrote back and noted the story that came out earlier today about McCain’s apparently new $5000 make-up artist. Isn’t that interesting – suddenly when everyone is noticing something wrong, something changed, with McCain’s face, he hires a $5000 make-up artist, and she now seems to be attached at his hip.
