Some facts about the rape charges against Denver Broncos rookie Perrish Cox were released today. And frankly, we don’t know what to make of this one.

Broncos defensive back Perrish Cox was allowed to play for the Broncos last weekend while his investigation is ongoing.

The judge in the case has made a ruling on what documents can be released to the public:

Judge Susanna Meisnner-Cutler agreed that the prosecution and defense need more time to study the evidence against the Denver Broncos cornerback before making the case file public.

“The court at this time believes the affidavit should remain sealed,” Meissner-Cutler said.

The affidavit contains the evidence that led to Cox’s arrest, as well as the details of the sex assault charges against him.

Meissner-Cutler did rule that the complaint filed by the district attorney’s office should be available to the public.

The charges against Cox are serious:

Sex assault-victim helpless, a class 3 felony; and sex assault-victim incapable of appraising her condition, a class 4 felony.

In Laymen Terms, Cox is being accused of having sex with a woman while she was either drugged, inebriated, passed out or under some sort of influence that she couldn’t resist.

One thing to note is that the alleged assault happened on September 8th 2010, but not reported to police until October 28th 2010.

The case will be very hard to prove, but the police believe they have enough evidence. If Cox is convicted, he faces two years to life in prison.

Sources in the Denver area believe model Camille Washington is the accuser in this case. Those claims have not been confirmed and attempts to reach Miss Washington for comment have not been returned— and she recently closed both her Twitter and Myspace pages.

Now, by no means are we saying that any victim of rape ever deserves it. But if she is the victim/accuser, this is probably the reason her lawyers would have her shut down her social networking jawns. This is Camille.

If Perrish Cox’s lawyers are anything like Big Ben McRapey‘s lawyers, they’d probably use these pics as some kind of testament to Camille’s character.
