The crazy broad who pretended Carlina White was her kid for 23 years has apparently relocated from North Carolina to Connecticut, less than 100 miles away from the scene of Carlina’s kidnapping.

Cops yesterday swooped down on a pawn shop here after an employee reported that fugitive and suspected kidnapper Ann Pettway tried to hawk a laptop and some jewelry, The Post has learned.

Pettway, 49 — wanted for questioning in a 1987 kidnapping that victim Carlina White solved herself — was spotted at Joe Davis Pawnbroker, offering to sell a Dell laptop, hoop earrings and an engagement ring, sources said.

“Someone from the pawn shop called,” said a police source. “The pawn shop called police 20 minutes after she left.”

The source said the pawn-shop customer was wearing a dark olive-green ski jacket with two vertical stripes and a knit hat with a white brim.

It wasn’t clear how the worker knew the mysterious customer was the desperado wanted in two states in an extraordinary case.

Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued for Pettway in North Carolina, where she is considered to be “absconding supervision” on her embezzlement parole.

And the FBI in New York and the NYPD both want to question her in the abduction of then-19-day-old Carlina White — renamed Nejdra Nance and raised by Pettway in Bridgeport.

The sighting set off a frenzied hunt for Pettway at two addresses, including that of her 75-year-old mother, Mary Pettway, and the home of the biological father of Pettway’s 13-year-old son, Trevon, who also has not been seen since last week.

At Mary Pettway’s home yesterday, the distraught elderly woman told The Post even she was fooled in the remarkable deceit.

“She was pregnant in 1987,” said Mary Pettway of her daughter. “I wasn’t with her when she gave birth.”

“[Nejdra] was Ann’s daughter — until all this came up,” she said. “I don’t know right now what to think.”

Trevon’s dad, Spencer Teele, refused to comment.

It is believed Pettway abruptly left her Raleigh, NC, home when the amazing story of Carlina’s reunion with her real family was revealed by The Post last Wednesday.

Let’s hope some twisted logic doesn’t push this broad to hurt her 13-year-old son.
