The video, called “Obama Youth — Junior Fraternity Regiment “, is causing a little controversy on the net, with Fox News leading the charge.
This clip didn’t show any disrespect to the McCain camp at all, but the teacher was still suspended (probably without pay), unlike this Florida teacher. What’s next? We would like to think that the black teacher being hanged from a f*cking tree isn’t possible, but if they can re-adjust reason to make these two messages equal, can you imagine what might be next?!?!

I read some of the comments from “mainstream media,” and they clearly don’t get it. People are linking the boys to HitlerYouth and *****sm.
How can anyone be so culturally ignorant? The Obama Youth Fraternity is modeled after the chants/stomps of “greek” fraternities on HBCU campuses.
It would be nice if people would learn about someone’s heritage and beliefs other than their own! How can you condemn something that inspires young men?
P.S. Because schools are supposed to be politically neutral, the teacher should be advised/counseled about the appearance of partisanship, proselytizing and returned to cl*****. Jeesh!

The media is spinning this video to be about militant black youth organizing around the country. They are trying to scare white America into voting for McCain. It should be instilled in them that they should aspire to become these things regardless of who is running for POTUS. If Obama decided not to run, would they not have aimed to become doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc…
We should teach our children that regardless of outside influences, they should aspire to be the best they can. It time to eliminate the word can’t.

I think it was the right move. If some one was teaching white kids you can do this because McCain did it people would complain its some racist *****. So fair and balanced across the board, I think people should keep their political views out of schools and let these kids to grow up and learn who to pick for themselves. NASHVILLE, Tennessee (CNN) — A new national poll suggests Barack Obama is widening his lead over John McCain in the race for the White House.
Sen. Barack Obama leads Sen. John McCain by 8 points, according to CNN’s latest poll.
1 of 2 The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll out Monday afternoon suggests that the country’s financial crisis, record low approval ratings for President Bush and a drop in the public’s perception of McCain’s running mate could be contributing to Obama’s gains.
Fifty-three percent of likely voters questioned in the poll say they are backing Obama for president, with 45 percent supporting McCain.
That 8-point lead is double the 4-point lead Obama held in the last CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, taken in mid-September. Watch why the economy is hurting McCain
Monday evening’s CNN national Poll of Polls — incorporating our new CNN survey, as well as new tracking numbers from Gallup and Hotline taken October 3-5 — shows Obama leading McCain by 6 points — at 49 to 43 percent.
President Bush may be part of the reason why Obama’s making gains. Only 24 percent of those polled approve of Bush’s job as president, an all-time low for a CNN survey. See the latest polling
“Bush has now tied Richard Nixon’s worst rating ever, taken in a poll just before he resigned in 1974, and is only 2 points higher than the worst presidential approval rating in history, Harry Truman’s 22 percent mark in February 1952,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
And that’s bad news for McCain, because the poll suggests a growing number of Americans believe the Republican presidential nominee would have the same policies as the current Republican president. Fifty-six percent say McCain’s policies would be the same as Bush, up from 50 percent a month ago.
The financial crisis also appears to be contributing to Obama’s increased lead in the poll. Sixty-eight percent are confident in the Democratic presidential nominee’s ability to handle the financial crisis, 18 points ahead of McCain, and 42 points ahead of Bush.
More Americans appear to have an unfavorable view of Gov. Sarah Palin, and that may also be helping Obama in the fight for the presidency. Forty percent now have an unfavorable view of Palin, up from 27 percent a month ago and from 21 percent in late August, when McCain surprised many people by picking the first-term Alaska governor as his running mate.
“A majority of Americans now believe that Sarah Palin would be unqualified to serve as president if it became necessary, and her unfavorable rating has doubled,” Holland said.
Another hurdle for the Arizona senator is expectations. Six in 10 questioned in the poll predict that Obama will win the November election. iReport.com: Are you in a battleground state?
The poll was conducted Friday through Sunday, just after President Bush signed the $700 billion federal bailout into law. By a 53 percent to 46 percent margin, Americans oppose the bill.
“One in five might have supported a different bill, but one in three believe that the government should have stayed out of the crisis completely and let the markets attempt to recover on their own.
“A majority think that the bailout package will not prevent the economy from going into a deep and prolonged recession — but they turn thumbs-down to another bailout package if this one does not work. Only one in five would support more *****istance beyond Friday’s $700 billion package,” Holland said.
The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted by telephone on October 3-5. The survey questioned 1,006 people. The survey’s sampling error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
The Poll of Polls does not have a sampling error.

this is one of the truest posts I’ve seen on Bossip. It is VERY true that this country is NOT run by whoever is President. What you said is accurate @ “YOU ARE THE CHANGE YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR.” The difference with Obama is that he has INSPIRED the PEOPLE’S involvement. I truly hope that this trend will snowball and create a more unified country. Those in power try to distact us from the true issues. We CANNOT achieve anything as long as there is so much seperatism and everyone fighting against each other over silliness. WITHOUT UNITY…a government that is supposedly FOR THE PEOPLE, will continue to be run by a VERY small group of men motivated ONLY by power and capitalism.

And I cosign with the poster above: Shouldn’t these kids aspire to these lofty goals REGARDLESS of who wins? Shouldn’t teachers inspire such ambitions? Folks need to stop looking for a hero and start looking for themselves…
Mike’s post is so on point. The president has little power in his position, the majority of things are being formulated and masterminded by those behind the scenes. The voting process is only a process that makes the majority (the people) feel like they are actually contributing to society and making a change when in reality, regardless of voting, a decision has probably been made from the beginning.
It’s time for people to wake up and realize that America is definitely not what it portrays itself to be. I am not discouraging the act of voting, just simply stating the truth, good luck to all, the future is going to be very…very…rough.

I dont understand how anyone could be offended by the video. I am sure the teacher did not force any of those boys to take part in the group. If they didnt think Obama was a great leader or an example for who they could one day be, would they really parti*****te in the group just to get extra credit and brownie points with the teacher? Probably not. Spelling out C H A N G E on the board of a school and having the N stand for N*$&%% is unacceptable. I THINK EVERYBODY WAS OFFENDED BY THAT BULLCRAP! Maybe I didnt hear the video right, but did it say anything negative about Mcain? I do agree with “BLACK BARBIE” when she posted that schools should stay neutral, but I dont think the teacher meant any harm by it. He to me, was just showcasing how this campaign is shaping and changing the mindsets of African American youths. It is sad that we have to wait for an African AMerican to run for president before some of our youth decide that they can do better. First off its not that deep. Its really not. If the students wanted to make a step to this then so be it. Maybe they come from a home where Obama is their hero. Maybe they come from a community where he is consistently talked about. Or how bout the students actually took the time out to listen to Obama and was moved by his speech. Fox news station is a racist station anyway. And if you don’t like what the students are saying and doing cover your eyes and ears. All this video is, is a appreciation to Obama, because he has set the way for the rest of us Blacks. He has showed us that we can be more then an average Joe, or “Mr. Six-Pack.” They look at Obama’s complexion and realize “he’s just like me!” That gives up HOPE.
If you feel as though that the election isn’t worth anything and won’t do anything towards our lives because yours is sooo great or just don’t care at all, then don’t vote. Keep on doing what you do everyday and don’t worry your pretty little head about it. But if the wrong man gets picked because you and ppl like you didn’t vote your going to be sorry. Your going to going to be *****ED when gas becomes $7.00 a gallon, and just to catch a flight to the next state a month ahead of time is going to be $1,000.

There is nothing wrong with youth supporting Obama whether they sing about, dance, make posters, prepare a poem, etc. but because Obama will win, the medial will do anything to bring the Democratic party down even if it means firing a teacher who is proud to be an “Obama supporter”. I see some of you posters TELL people things, but you provide no scientific proof to further your opinions. What I am saying in plain english is-I think it is highly irrational and insensitive to suggest to people that they should NOT vote. People have paid a dear price for that right to be practiced, and it *****es me off tha people can unestimated folks. If people are able to make an educated decision that leads them to be a doctor, lawyer, or whatsoever their hearts desire-then that is a great thing-but I cannot understand how even the mere suggestion of NOT VOTING is doing for one’s self.

Every kid has a role model, and too many times, it’s Plies, or Jordan-why is it bad that Obama inspires people, and why was this teacher suspended?
The reason for the suspension is it is against the law for teachers to impose political views on students. As a black man i find it silly that these kids are speaking on something they know nothing about and treating obama as if he is a saint because he is a fellow black man… lets see what he does for our country before we decide if he is a great man or not!

Atlanta and Charlotte are perfect controls. While we’re out working jobs, they’re studying population control like a science. ***** FOX – I haven’t watch FOX TV since probably May. They get NO ratings from my TV – NO MORE.
And as far as the young men in the video – I promote anything that uplifts our men. Let them praise Obama if they want too. Better him THAN an American GANGSTER. It would be nice if Black men could praise their Fathers and look up to them. But if that is not possible – let them praise a good Black Man. I thought it was very positive to see that Obama has provided such inpiration to impressionale young youth. but when they started to spout about his health care plan that was when it could be deemed as teaching the kids propaganda. No one really knows the implications of the Obama Healthcare Plan. it is propaganda even if it is really what the teacher believes it should be stated as so. poor kids. i just hope the health care plans turns out to be just as they had been told. if not there will be some really confused young men out there
I loved the piece and am even inspired to see young black males discussing their goals and ambitions. None of them mentioned becoming rappers, gangsters, drug dealers and this is why the school chose to suspend the teacher. Hopefully, Barack Obama’s camp will reach out to him.
