I loved the piece and am even inspired to see young black males discussing their goals and ambitions. None of them mentioned becoming rappers, gangsters, drug dealers and this is why the school chose to suspend the teacher. Hopefully, Barack Obama’s camp will reach out to him.

I thought it was very positive to see that Obama has provided such inpiration to impressionale young youth. but when they started to spout about his health care plan that was when it could be deemed as teaching the kids propaganda. No one really knows the implications of the Obama Healthcare Plan. it is propaganda even if it is really what the teacher believes it should be stated as so. poor kids. i just hope the health care plans turns out to be just as they had been told. if not there will be some really confused young men out there

The reason not to vote faceless.blacklady is when we were getting hosed down and killed for the ‘right’ to vote. Politicians took into consideration the will of the people and the policies people wanted for society. Now voting is a poll that’s used to determine, distract people and buy time so politicians can loot the treasury and make the people feel they are being heard. Politics has evolved to the KNOWLEDGE and science that to its easier to oppress people by making them think they’re free. This prevents rebellion. Atlanta and Charlotte were the two only places with a “gas shortage”. They did this to check the “temperature” of the people to see how far they would go while the economy is ready to crash..and where they may congregate in hostility. Nobody did anything, so they know they have the people in check. Atlanta and Charlotte are perfect controls. While we’re out working jobs, they’re studying population control like a science. Voting volunteers your thoughts so that they can be countered and controlled. Voting had its place in time. Now they switch pockets on your ass every 8 years. What happened to Bill Clinton the black president? Now he’s an azzhole right???

The reason for the suspension is it is against the law for teachers to impose political views on students. As a black man i find it silly that these kids are speaking on something they know nothing about and treating obama as if he is a saint because he is a fellow black man… lets see what he does for our country before we decide if he is a great man or not!

On the video topic-I do not think they did a thing wrong-but I have a serious problem with the guy in Florida who wrote to his class Can.Help.A.N-word.Get.Elected, and was NOT suspended.

Every kid has a role model, and too many times, it’s Plies, or Jordan-why is it bad that Obama inspires people, and why was this teacher suspended?

I see some of you posters TELL people things, but you provide no scientific proof to further your opinions. What I am saying in plain english is-I think it is highly irrational and insensitive to suggest to people that they should NOT vote. People have paid a dear price for that right to be practiced, and it pisses me off tha people can unestimated folks. If people are able to make an educated decision that leads them to be a doctor, lawyer, or whatsoever their hearts desire-then that is a great thing-but I cannot understand how even the mere suggestion of NOT VOTING is doing for one’s self.

Maybe I misread some of the posts, but I am just sharing my views, and I am willing to follow-up…
