Thanks for the kudos. I appreciate you conversing without name calling or hurling insults. You have good points as well, but we just don’t see eye to eye about many things. However, that’s part of what’s so wonderful about this great country. It provides us the freadom of speech and affords us this opportunity to speak our minds and vote for the candidate of our choice.

I’m sorry to tell you “my friend”…that your facts are invalid. They are straight out of the republican playbook. Do you make more than $250k annually? If not…no tax increase boo boo. Should taxes be increased for those making $250k or highly…yes they should. Why? Because the American tax system is old and unfair. Making 80k—I shouldn’t have to pay more taxes than someone that earns $180k…it’s simply ridiculous!!!The SURGE—-that was a tactic and not a strategy “my friend” and it should have been. So a tactical measure is much harder to measure…vs a strategy—let me remind you…there shouldn’t have been a SURGE in the first place. We have NO business in IRAQ!!!! Parents who choose not to insure their children when it’s going to be practically super cheap to have health insurance—-should be fined. Either sign your child up for the CHIP—Children’s Health Insurance Program which is like $15 a month or less or be fined or become a charity case to our fragile hospital system.

McCain is not innocent when it comes to pork-spending…he himself has asked for millions of dollars too. That whole notion about Obama shooting hoops but not seeing the troops are a smear and lies by the dishonest GOP…you followers are like wired robots that will jump off the cliff if lead to it by McBush…what a shame. I need you to do a little more research and not believe all that is fed to you.

Anyone can claim to be a “maverick.” Just because McCain worked across party lines and cooperated with democrats does not make him an agent for “change.” This is especially true when he has wallowed in the pigstye that is the Bush Administration for 90% of the last 8 years and voted with Bush 90% of the time!!! How is that change? Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate just worked together to pass this bs bailout bill. So are they all “mavericks” now? Gimme a break.

So Obama played basketball in Iraq. Big deal. That’s not even relevant.

Obama has gone on record as saying that “the surge has worked better than we could have imagined.” How is that NOT admitting that the surge was a success? Sorry, but you’re way off with that one.

Or is it that you just want to hear someone say “I was wrong?” When has McCain admitted to being wrong about anything in this election?

I am not going to go there with you about Obama raising taxes because I have already listed Obama’s stance on taxes. You chose to ignore it and coast on the Republican’s viw of Obama’s tax plan instead.

Every American should have health insurance. McCain voted against the child health insurance policy act and stated in the debate that health care was a “responsibility.” Like Obama, I believe that health care is a “RIGHT.” That is one of many reasons that I am voting for Obama on Nov 4th.

“Leroy,” We’re not going to agree on much of anything, so we need not go back and forth debating our candidates’s stance on these issues.

I am still voting for Obama and you’re still going to vote for McCain, so we’ll see what happens Nov. 4th!

Most small businesses may not make more than 250,000 per year but the businesses that employ a majority of our workforce do make more that 250K.

So Obama’s tax increase on those business will cause job loss. This is not the time to levy taxes on the segment of our society that create jobs. Any I enjoyed your comments and arguments. You’re a studied debater and this is the type of reasonable dialogue we need in this country.

John McCain is a maverick not because he is an agent of change; but because he knows how to reach across the aisle to get things done. At least he has a record of reaching out to democrats to get legislation done.

Second, McCain did not vote for certain bills because they were loaded down with earmarks [as stated in the second debate].

Third, Obama was out shooting 3pointers in Iraq instead of talking to our troops. Apparently, he enjoys being the center of attention and being Mr. Popular. McCain does not do what is popular; he does what is right.

Fourth, Obama cannot admit that he was wrong about the surge being a success. He is stubborn and won’t admit to mistakes.

Fifth, Obama will fine you if you do not have health insurance. I mean, what is this? That will hurt the most financially deprived Americans. So much for caring about the American people. He won’t even be able to pay for his health care plan now since we’ve bailed out Wall Street with $700 billion.

Sixth, Obama will increase our taxes. Where do you think the money for his health plan is supposed to come from?
