Arsenio Hall Eddie Murphy Coming To America

Now on to the late 80s… which saw, not only Eddie Murphy continuing to make it rain on them Hollyweird hoes, but also the arrival of a young man by the name of Shelton Jackson Lee. Spike Lee undeniably changed the face of Black cinema, and impacted almost every Black 70s and 80s baby’s adolescence and young adulthood.

By the way, remember when we told you Eddie was making it rain? Did you know that Eddie Murphy had four movies that were among the top 5 highest grossing movies the year they were released, including Beverly Hills Cop, which was the #7 highest grossing movie of the 80s?

Flip through the list and tell us your thoughts. Don’t forget to check out Part I, if you missed it yesterday.

Spike Lee definitely changed the game-his films were ground breaking in bringing to the forefront the racial, economic, and social stereotypes affecting our communities. “Do The Right Thing” is my fave of all time. Love you Spike.
