Quote Of The Day: Justin Bieber On American Health Care- “You Guys Are Evil”

- By Bossip Staff Categories: Bolitics, For Discussion, Hi Hater

Normally we’d defend this country…but f**k that we’re siding with the Canadian kid!

Justin Bieber has taken the United States by storm, but if he gets sick, he may find himself retreating back to Canada — and not just for the home-cooked meals.

Bieber, a 16-year old popstar who was nominated for two Grammys and saw his bio movie make $30 million this weekend, covers the new issue of Rolling Stone. In addition to talking the usual trappings of fame — the music, the tour stories, the girls — the magazine asked him to wade a bit into the political waters. At least on one major issue, he already has a fully formed opinion.

Asked if he wanted to become an American citizen, Bieber made clear his love for Canada — and its health care system.

“You guys are evil,” he told the magazine, out on February 18th. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”

It’s a surprisingly astute observation for a 16-year old superstar singer, whose life mainly consists of recording, touring, appearing and otherwise working. But then, few 16-year olds have met President Obama, something Bieber has done twice, including at the White House Easter Egg Roll. He has Obama daughters Sasha and Malia to thank for that.

But while the point is moot because he doesn’t plan to vote in the United States, his health care stance and chumminess with the President don’t necessarily make him a sideline supporter of the Democratic party.

“I’m not sure about the parties,” he said. “But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.”

We’re with you Biebs! Everyone who has ever had to take a $1000 ambulance ride knows EXACTLY what he’s talkin’ about! We gotta come up with a better way to address the health care problem in America, this sh*t makes no sense.

It’s amazing, she said she just posted her profile on a m’illionaire d’ating s’ite called ———-RichMatchmaker. ℃○M——– – and received his chat invitations a few days later. Then, everything went so well that I can’t believe it’s true! Every love story will unfold on it’s own..——-
Yup and prescriptions are almost next to nothing, it’s great. I’m American but I’m glad i live in Toronto. I don’t understand why America can’t do the same.

    He’s right.

Funny how we “Americans” think we’re just so perfect. We’re screwed up more than we know and everybody laughs at us because of it. If America keeps it up with the bullsh!t, I’M moving to Canada!!!

    • HAHAHA!

I’ll help you with you bags ;P

sorry it was just to easy.

  • Nana

Well said Justin Bieber!!!!! Health Care in this country is the WORST in the Whole world…..

  • xedos

Yes my canadian boy I have 2 kids here in
Canada never seen a bill and our tax are not Much different

  • the One

Why be surprised that the boy is educated on world issues?? It’s only ignorant Americans who only know about there 4 corners and not what goes on in other parts of the world!

When Bieber knows healthcare is messed up, them its time for America needs to take a long hard look at itself.

Unfortunately that will never happen because the healthcare industry makes billions of dollars every year for some of the richest people on the country, and you know America is all about keeping the rich rich. That’s is why I’ll be moving to Canada

  • Matix B

Canada is the BOMB….I visit the USA but will never regret my choice to live here instead of NYC. Greatfull for teh healthcare and such but missing my shopping…LMBAO

  • lexi

It is the same in the UK as Canada. The rich Americans seem very selfish. There was a British woman who did charity work in Africa she went to Washington as she had won a nobel peace prize. She couldn’t believe the poverty in parts of America so decided to stay there and help the poor Americans out instead of going back to Africa. It seems like America is the place to be if you are rich but if you poor you are better of in countries like Canada and the u.k

An Ambulance ride in Canada is $85.00. A little about our system: I had cancer and all treatment was paid for, I had mortgage insurance so while I was recovering my mortgage was paid for by the bank and I was receiving 80% of my wage from work so I basically made money while I had cancer. I love Canada. Have a nice day.

    • Soul Touch

Amen. I have a coworker whose new born son started having seizures. The boy had to be in the hospital for 3 months. He said plain and simple, if he were in the US he would have to re-finance is house just to cover the cost.

  • jmagic

Yeah that shyt is out of controll,$1000 ambulance ride even if its around the block,$500 a night in a room, not to mention the drugs they give you that right there is why so many people are in debt

  • Jessica

My ambulance ride cost $800+ :(

Samantha – what free healthcare? Over 1/3rd of my salary goes to taxes, and I STILL end up owing every year. It would be nice to get something out of it for a change. I’m one of three black females in Atlanta without kids, so I don’t get a fat EIC check every April.

  • ManchesterUKer

It’s definitely evil to charge for healthcare. The US doesn’t make sense, tax-funded education, police force, fire service etc. but no tax-funded healthcare?

  • Soul Touch

I never regret my choice to move back home to Canada.

    O’Canada! Beautiful country. Beautiful people.

Yes, we pay taxes but you pay taxes EVERY WHERE. Very few places compare to not only our health care system but to your education system (university/college rates are slight compared to the US). I’m not complaining.

  • Matix B

I dare any American to travel with a Canadian flag and see how people treat you. My theory has little to do with this topic but you’d be surprised how people treat you abroad when they think you are form the Great White and RED, nothing but LOVE…just go to Paris and tell them you’re are form the USA and see how they will treat you. Your government has fuqed up your international reputation years ago.

    • Soul Touch

lol I have a few US school buddies that learned the trick of the trade…when they travel overseas they claim to be Canadian, they get treated better.

I’ve been all over, as soon as I say Canadian I get a friendly smile. Say your American and they’ll spit at your feet.

    • Matix B

Your buddies are smart! “Play fool to catch wise.” LMBAO

    • daisy jay

*sniff* You guys are making Daisy feel bad!!! Lol

Is it really like that? People hate Americans THAT much? *pause* …….I don’t blame them, I hate America too HA. I feel that the government and stuff…they blind these poor foreigners with the “freedom” lure. Then once people migrate here, they don’t even like it and they eventually leave. America is so sad. They couldn’t care less about the poor. The fact that “we” allow people to die because of their bank account is just…I can’t comprehend that. You’re both making me wanna leave Cali and go to Canada! I heard it’s cleaner up there, too anyway lol

    • Soul Touch

And safer! Get your tail up here girl! :)

    • daisy jay

      @Soul Touch

And you guys get snow, too?!!?!?!! *happily skips happy @ss over the US/Canada border*
